Eddie's Cafe is a nice stop while in Newton Grove, NC. The BBQ is good and they have a very friendly staff. We opted for the lunch buffet during our visit. We tried the chicken pastry, fried chicken, bbq, fried fatback, cole slaw, and hush puppies. It was all good and a really fair value at $9 a person.

I love Yelp! It led me to this gem. I went to the Carolina Nutcracker for pecans and looked on Yelp for a lunch spot. I got the BBQ tray for $5.50. bbq, slaw and freshly cooked hush puppies. It hit the spot! They also had a very nice looking buffet with vegetables that looked good. I had trouble deciding so I will need to come back. The service was very good. A nice, friendly, locally run place. You know when there are lots of trucks in the parking lot, it's gotta be good. I highly recommend it!

Good lord. I moved to the meadow area just over 6 months ago. I have driven by this spot several times seeing how I shop at food lion right close to here for my groceries. How. I mean how have I not stop here yet. I guess because I'm not a huge everyday bbq person. But finally decided to stop in. And I will say this. First and foremost they have hands down the best fried okra. Then to top it off they had chicken pasty on the buffet. On this freezing cold day. It hit the spot. Cleaned my plate. Everyone raves about the meadow restaurant. They can't get close to this place. And it's so close to home.

My fiance and I love Celia's. I have only ever gotten take out but he goes often for lunch with his father. Saturdays are our favorite when they have the steak fajita burrito special. I literally dream about it! Soooo good. read more

Didn't get my extra side of rice and when I got home to eat my meal I opened the box I smelled a sour smell and thought it was just my imagination I started on the rice and gravy and it became overwhelming and tasted horrible just like soured milk couldn't eat it and got sick. I found out that the gravy is where the smell was coming from because some I had on the side in a cup had exploded out the side bubbling and oozing out like some kind of chemical reaction. read more

We needed to make a quick stop on our road trip, so happy we stopped at Eddie's Cafe out of convenience and the reviews on Yelp. Don't disappoint. , Food was delicious, and plentiful. We ordered shrimp platters , which came with hush puppies, two sides and a tea for $10 a meal. Shrimp was fresh, and cooked to perfection. Hush puppies were great, food only took 10-15 minutes to be prepared, staff was friendly... would DEFINITELY come back. read more

Stopped through this area while on road trip. Easy to access from interstate. Super friendly staff. We ordered the seafood buffet and a barbecue small plate. Then came back second time through. Could not have friendlier staff. Come for the food which is very inexpensive and then come back for the people. So take a five minute drive of the interstate and try something local. read more

We stopped at Eddie's while we were visiting the Bentonville battlefield site. What a great spot for lunch! We had the lunch buffet, and everything on it was great: Carolina barbecue, two kinds of fish, fried chicken, bbq ribs, chitlins, two kinds of potatoes, and several dessert choices. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive, and the price was right! Highly recommended. read more

Stopped in while driving thru town on a trip. Good southern food along with good southern hospitality. I had the buffet and enjoyed every bite. Hush puppies were crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I would definitely come back... thank you to the nice lady who works there read more

Great southern bbq, loved having their homemade banana pudding and fried chicken. Food tasted homemade and service made me feel right at home. My eyes were bigger than my stomach I spent $20 and probably could spread the food out for two days. read more

Eddie's has been a mainstay in Newton Grove for as long as I can remember (and I'm 45). The owners are amazing people and the service is great. If you're eating from the buffet, there are lots of choices and EVERYTHING on the buffet and menu is fantastic! True southern food, BBQ, and seafood at it's finest. My favorite is the boiled shrimp with butter, slaw and french fries. I grew up there, but no longer live there. The only downside for me is that they're not open on weekends anymore, so it's rare that I have the chance to make it there, but if I'm there on a weekday or night, I ALWAYS make it to Eddie's. read more

Absolutely excellent food and service especially for a small town. Restaurant is very clean and food is always fresh. The small parking lot can be hard to navigate but there is plenty of road side parking available as well. One of the only places around to offer a salad bar and buffet meals. Phenomenal quality food and a great value. read more

Saw their signs on the interstate,stopped at Smithfields and then pulled this place up on yelp. Decided to take the risk. When we pulled up, I thought we had made a mistake but it turns out the bbq plate was better than Smithfields by far. Nothing fancy and the bathroom was well neglected but if you want a good bbq plate, friendly service I would recommend stopping by. read more
