The outside gives a farmhouse feel, the inside gives a cafeteria feel. The service was great, everyone was super kind. The website showed closed but it was open. The food was very....: interesting. Not a lot of effort put into it. Reminds me of school or nursery lunches. Just cooked and put out, the salisbury steak had a weird flavor, i had to stop eating it. The chick was not juicy at all. The best thing was the hush puppies and chili. Maybe its different on other days (i came at 12 on monday). I will not be revisiting. The cost was 15 and served buffet style.

I don't eat pork so to find a southern buffet that does not add bits of pork meat as seasoning to veggies was refreshing! Fried chicken- 5 out of 5 stars All beef meatloaf- 5/5 Hush puppies- 5/5 Collards- 4/5 Yams-3/5 Mac and cheese- 2/5 just to dry and crunchy Salad bar-4/5 Peach cobbler- 2/5 just too mushy sweet for my tastes. Didn't try the other cake desserts available Service- 5/5 Atmosphere- 4/5 comfy and plenty of spaces to choose from Beef tips- 4/5 I would return! Great food.

Making our way to the beach for a few days we ran across this place. Just poppin in to use the restrooms we decided to stay and eat. The smell of home cooking we just could t resist. My husband says "It's a buffet ." (He knows I'm not really a fan) I am so glad we stayed. There weren't many people eating at the time we went. (1:30 on a Tuesday) Sunday dinner at Grandma's with all the fixings. Fried Chicken, Turkey, baked chicken, ribs, pork, Chicken n Rice ... Cabbage done 2 different ways, collards , black eye peas with stewed tomatoes , yams , sweet potato casserole, navy beans , succotash, Lima beans, Plus a full salad bar. The one thing they were missing was mashed potatoes. ( Cream potatoes if your from NC ) I ask the lady taking care of the bars if they had MASH potatoes and she said no not today. I didn't think another things about it. Just loaded up on more collards and sweet potato casserole. About 15 or minutes later our server and another lady comes to our table with GUESS ... yes cream potatoes a bowl for me and my husband. Oh my word if that ain't Southern Hospitality I don't know what is. That deserves more than Yelps 5 stars . They were pipin hot and so good . I can not recommend this place enough. It was exceptionally clean and the food is oh so good.

The pancakes and eggs were amazing. Crispy tater tots and great breakfast meats selections.

If you are looking for a country breakfast/lunch buffet, this is your place. We are in Wallace for a wedding and happened upon this place for breakfast. They have made-to-order eggs and pancakes. The pancakes are fluffy and hand brushed with butter before coming off the griddle. Large selection of breakfast and lunch items, fresh and hot. Fried chicken was incredible, a must try. Staffs are friendly and the buffet is well kept and clean. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a hearty country meal in Wallace NC!

The food was definitely down home cooking. Momma must have been cooking in the back. Ribs were falling off the bone and had a sweet bbq sauce. Fried chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. The only issue I had was that the mashed mashed potatoes didn't have much salt and pepper. There were several selections of cake, but the best was a zinger cake. It had a strawberry frosting with coconut sprinkles. I also tasted the chocolate cake and the frosting tasted homemade. The spice cake was good as well. Yes I tasted all 3 just to figure out which was the best. Of course the zinger cake was the winner with its fresh strawberry topping and coconut. The price was right to which was $11 per person for lunch. Drinks are separate. But it's still a steal of a price.

Home Grown good ole country food! So, I must admit, this restaurant was one of the coolest…read morerestaurants I've seen in a very long time! It has a Scottish feel to it, although I've never been to Scotland, I will compare it to German restaurants. It is very cool, on the outside it is surrounded by trees and that's exactly what the restaurant is built around, so you will see natural live trees on the inside of the restaurant. The food was AMAZING! I mean there was no other way to explain it. I ordered the teriyaki turkey and Korean beef with the stuffed loaded baked potato! OMG! The taste was one of a kind for sure. I also had the sweet tea and whooooo, boy do I miss the sweet tea from North Carolina! The service was great as well. While we were waiting for our food, I went to the back and did a small wine tasting. I purchased a small wine glass with several bottles of wine, in addition to two jars of homemade moonshine jam! Holy cow! I was able to ship this back to Vegas! I can't wait for it to get here! I would definitely say, if you're anywhere in North Carolina or plan to make a trip, that would be the place to visit. It's a lovely, nice, homegrown restaurant and wine shop with other small trinkets to buy if you're interested. Lastly, the most important part is me being home with my father's side of the family. Family is all we have so take as much time as you can with your loved ones. Until next time...please like and follow me if you enjoyed my review

Many visits over many decades, and it's time to calibrate the full experience from my last visit…read more Food is first. As an example, the Prime Rib is good, but it should be and could be excellent. Seasoning and preparation, need to be revisited. One thing completely missing is menu variety. Adding a "Chef's Special" would be a good way to start. Service has always been excellent. Ambiance needs attention., as some areas are not up to what one expects in a $60+/person dinner tab. The overall experience is "almost" memorable, and with some modest changes, it could be always memorable. I am great supporter of "The Squire", and only give these suggestions to make it even better. I look forward to reviewing with a 5-Star rating. But today, only 3-Stars is a fair assessment.
