This is the new location. My wife and I have been here twice with her parents and both times we've been extremely happy with the experience, our most recent visit was last night. Our first visit was about a month ago and last night we had the same waiter, Josh, who actually remembered us and what my wife ordered. Last time they made her an off-menu vegetable fried rice with fried tofu that she was very happy with. This time she asked for a fried tofu with garlic sauce and again, she was very happy with it. They served it with the sauce on the side which was really nice because it kept the tofu from getting soggy. I've had the buffet both times and, honestly, it's one of the best buffets I've eaten at. The food is turned over very frequently so everything tastes fresh and is hot. My personal favorite is the black pepper chicken but other items are also very good. The General Tang's chicken is nice and crispy, even from the buffet, and other staples like the beef and broccoli are also very good. The restaurant itself is nice, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the service is very good. We will definitely be returning every time we come to visit. read more

Very very very poor customer service and management. My daughter was charged for sitting with me at lunch. She never had a bite of food enter her mouth, she did not make a plate, she did not eat off my plate, nothing! But I was charged for her a lunch buffet. When I tried to explain that she didn't eat, I was told next time to place her leftovers in a takeout box. I said "no leftovers as she didn't make a plate" and that was the end of the convo. I was forced to pay. I sent 2 messages to the manager that were read but no response. Never again. read more

Being that there is nowhere in the vacinity for sushi and I was driving home from Greensboro I stopped here. It is a combination of a Chinese buffet, Japanese restaurant and sushi bar. The miso soup and seaweed salad were delicious. Above average. I ordered the sashimi dinner and it only came with three types of fish which was disappointing. (Red snapper, salmon, and tuna). I did specify no shrimp or crab because who wants that on a sashimi platter, right? However, I was hoping for octopus or mackerel, etc. the presentation was absolutely gorgeous! That gets 5 stars. However, the actual taste of the fish was just so-so. Tuna seemed alittle old and the salmon was stringy. I would definitely eat here again album next time try a roll instead. Like many other reviews have said, the food here used to be good.. I'm not sure if it's because I came at a weird time, but all the food at the buffet looked unappetizing- possibly due to the restaurant being half empty but for someone who's coming into a buffet.. it's pretty disappointing to see dried out noodles and frail looking dishes. However I feel like this buffet has a lot of potentials. It's a lot nicer than many other asian buffets that I've been too. The prices are reasonable too. I was able to get 3 to go containers for only $13. That's pretty darn good. It would prob cost us more if the food was fresher. read more

I would give no stars if possible. Have been here multiple times in the past with no issue. However, the past few times I have gotten my take out order wrong. My family and I are always looking for a good Chinese buffet. One that has most of what you would expect and at a good price. This Restaurant is it. There is a good selection of different dishes, not just chicken ( like you would find in so many Chinese buffets). There are clams, mussels, shrimp and fish offered on the buffet. The only thing that they don't have that I would like to see here is sushi. The food is fresh, hot and kept filled by the staff. This restaurant could offer a few more dessert options. The price is very reasonable, compared to what you would pay in Wilmington or Jacksonville. It was well worth the trip to find a quality Chinese buffet in such a reachable location. My family and I will frequent this restaurant more then taking the longer trips to Jacksonville or New Bern . If you are looking for real good Chinese food and a buffet, this is the place. They do offer a menu too. read more

We eat here often; I like new building but I think the food was better at their old building. Also they seem to always be raising the prices. I get with a new building comes higher prices but they were going higher and higher WAY before they got a new building. since mid-may we have been going back and forth to the hospital in Wilmington, from Warsaw. some days it is pass dinner time, so one day I stopped here at the golden city. we know the owner/ manager, from Clinton. so we knew the food would be good......... we thought......they cant get the food order right. everytime it is something new. we live 30 minutes from Wallace so there is no going back to complain. the first time the guy at the desk was rude and didn't act like he wanted our business. hubby complained the food is bland. we ask for steam dumplings cause no one seems to know what a potsticker is. but we got fried dumplings. we get shrimp fried rice and I be damn if I can find more than five shrimp. I asked for a small egg-drop soup and was told they don't have it, so I had to get a large. we spend at least 40 dollars to 50 dollars eve00ry order ....yeah not so much any more will try another place for a while if I do take out any more in Wallace ....sorry three strikes and you are out. . read more
