Excellent service. Cute place, cozy. The sandwich was a first for me and it was very good. Coffee was good. Really enjoyed being able to sit, relax and enjoy my meal.

Delicious! Sammys are fantastic! I paired mine with a yummy iced latte.

Perfect spot for a lunch/coffee/shopping recharge! This is a fantastic little place right downtown. Conveniently located near the post office and the children's museum. (They have a children's menu!) The staff and decor are so charming!

What a great place! We found this just down the street from our vacation rental and we will definitely be back. The coffees are great and the food is amazing. I had a giant piece of coconut cake

This new bistro in Jacksonville is an absolute gem! I visited with my mom and we had such a great experience. We each ordered a sandwich with chips and a side salad. I chose the Caprese salad--it was perfectly fresh and paired beautifully with my sandwich. My mom got the house salad with raspberry vinaigrette, and it was so well-balanced--it let the fresh veggies be the star. Marty and Myra, the owners, personally welcomed us and even took time to chat while we waited. Sarah helped us pick out the perfect meal and everything came out quickly, fresh, and full of flavor. The bistro also offers a great variety of coffee, food, and smoothies. Plus, the outdoor seating area is lovely--I'm already looking forward to coming back when they start hosting live music. If you're in the area (or even if you're not), definitely check this place out!

5/5 - A Hidden Gem You Don't Want to Miss We finally made it over to 1940 Bistro in downtown Jacksonville,-- and wow, this place blew us away. From the second we walked in, we were taken aback by how beautiful the space is. It's got this clean, modern vibe with cozy touches that make you want to hang out for hours. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design, and it just feels good to be there. But let's talk about the food -- because that's where it really shines. We tried The Rad and the Que Sera Sera, and both were absolutely incredible. We customized the Que Sera Sera with goat cheese and Ruz Château, and it was hands down one of the best sandwiches we've had in a long time. The flavors were unique, balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the food was completely on point. On top of that, they offer catering, which is perfect if you're planning an event or just want to treat your office to something way better than the usual takeout. This is exactly the kind of place downtown Jacksonville needs. Do yourself a favor and go check out 1940 Bistro -- and bring your appetite. 5 stars all day long. We'll definitely be back

She really made the experience. They have a white chocolate raspberry specialty drink we absolutely fell in love with. We also got the mazapan latte which was delicious. Definitely our new coffee spot. The owner was telling us how they discover new recipes and even found their coffee beans. They have chess there to play while you enjoy your coffee and plants that make it feel homey. They even have coffee and refreshers premade and ready to go! I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back shortly.

We are familiar with Cuban coffee from having it up north and in Miami. We had Cafe Bombón, tres leches cake, guava pastry and lemon cake. The cafecito cubano was good and the Cafe Bombón was good. The only thing we thought would have been better is to serve the Cafe Bombom in a glass cup/glass. Presentation sometimes is important and serving it in a plastic cup kinda takes away from it. The tres leche cake was good, the guava pastry was not. Lacked the filling and then it was wrapped in plastic so the humidity made it most. These guava pastries are meant to be flaky and with more guava. The service was good and staff were nice. May come back for coffee.
