I'm not from this town, but I've gone to the Smoothie King three times since I've been working here locally. I've never had a smoothie where the employee recommends I add bananas to "thicken" the smoothie before I even finish ordering, like she knew it was going to be just awful. This was a coffee high protein specifically, so I rejected the recommendation. I essentially invested in my third 13 dollar cup of hotel coffee. Watery, and not worth it. It tastes like they use half the ingredients, and double the ice. I went back around the drive-through because this is the third time (each smoothie a watery version of what every other smoothie king offers) I've had an awful shake. I was told they could remake it, but nothing would change about the smoothie. They can't make it better, only over again. Sigh. I, also, couldn't pay for extras add-ons and have them re-blend it and try make it edible, or at least give it a flavor. I was essentially stuck with another flop. I won't be doing that again. Times are hard, I understand, but they're hard for everyone... at least make my overpriced shake worth the overhead. read more

Today I ordered and the new tattoo black guy with dreads was rude. He was is that it in rude way. The guy did not try to upsale because it was Friday. He didn't ask I had an app or phone number and I forgot and he didn't remind me. The smoothie tasted disgustin. it tasted like they left open stuff in a fridge and it had fridg taste to it. I get the same smoothie everytime and it's never consisten. I get the Hulk Espresso. I usually taste little nuts from ice cream but nothing. I can't even finish my drink. ordered an acai cocoa haze bowl and it was melted down to a watery consistency like it had been sitting out for awhile, as well as they wouldn't put my toppings on the side according to some corporate policy but every other one i've been to has done that with no problem. very disappointed in this place. read more

This place definitely redeemed itself, the staff has been super friendly and my smoothies have tasted great.

Love the smoothies obvs but the issue I have with this location is the inconsistency with the taste of the smoothies every time I get one. This particular location is a sad representation of the Smoothie King franchise...and the wait time is ALWAYS lagging. Surrounding city locations are aware of Jacksonville's terrible Smoothie King reputation, I've noticed. At least, they could stop blaming the styrofoam cups on their desire to be biodegradable & just say they want to be cheap. This business is making someone a lot of money, but it isn't the employees. And whoever is pocketing the money, is taking no initiative to motivate workers or improve this specific establishment. I resorted to going outside the city for my smoothies now, so at least my drink is well-blended, with all the ingredients, in a clear, clean cup, and all the employees don't have band-aids on their fingers. All Smoothie Kings are about the same which is good because it lets me know I'll be getting the same quality wherever I go. It's not somewhere I frequent, but a few times a year I'm up for a smoothie that I don't have to make myself. That does remind me that I need to get my blender out of my closet and use it... Mom had just gotten out of cataract surgery and was a little groggy. She wanted something that would fill her, but didn't require a lot of energy to eat. You can easily drink a smoothie without paying much attention, so that's what was on the menu. It's a stand-alone building with no inside. Just pure drive-thru. Driving in there is a little confusing, or it was for me. I drove straight up to the window, completely ignoring the drive-up intercom. I got the hint when no one came to the window. Backed out and drove myself around to the speaker. I already knew what I wanted: a 32 ounce Passion Passport. I love passion fruit and opt for either it or mango when I go for a smoothie. Mom got a Strawberry-Kiwi Breeze. They were the perfect treat. Some reviews say the folks there were rude. That wasn't my experience. They were super nice and professional. Someone was probably having a bad day. The only thing I can recommend is some grounds upkeep. The lot looks a bit shabby and could use a face lift. Other than that, no complaints! read more

The smoothy is ok but lack of business ethics and waiting so long it's definitely not a place to visit again. I placed a Mobile order and when I pulled up to the window they gave me one out of my 2 orders. Then when I let them know I had a second smoothie and that it was a peanut power plus chocolate they brought me a smoothie that isn't even mine and it's a fruit smoothie instead. Well, so far, I have zero complaints with their products. The Blueberry Heaven is DELICIOUS!!! My only gripe is their customer service. Smoothies are okay but service is terrible. For the past 3 days I have tried to get a smoothie but this store is always closed hours before closing time. Every time the store actually is open I always have to wait an absurd amount of time just to order and then get my smoothie(wait usually is close to half an hour). This time my buddy and I attempted to order online to bypass the wait and we've been sitting here 30 minutes+ past the online ready time. Meanwhile workers around us are walking in and out the store with smoothies in their hands. If you want a smoothie I recommend going somewhere else unless you want to wait close to half an hour for a $9 smoothie. read more

Went to get a smoothie and both men were high as a kite, they also said they closed 2 hours early because they are newbies and don't know what they are doing. This happened 03/08/2022 at 7:08pm. It's hard to formulate words for this horrible establishment. Horrible staff. I hope management knows that you pay your staff to do absolutely nothing productive- including their jobs of MAKING SMOOTHIES and evidently they don't much cleaning either, by the looks of the sanitation rating. I was the only one in line and waited 10 minutes for 1 smoothie? How difficult is it to throw fruit in a blender? Clearly 10 minutes difficult. Or maybe I was interrupting their conversation and inconveniencing them by ya know, asking for a smoothie. I don't know how this place is still open when your staff is rude, and slow. If it were possible to give less stars, I would. Made (5) visits total and received horrible service. Decided to never go back, it's not worth it. Drinks are ok, but the service is a disaster! My husband and I frequent this location because we really love a good smoothie so taste of the product is not the issue but I'm giving it two stars because I would legitimately like to know why every single time we go, we wait at least 20min in the line (even if there are only 3 cars in front of us). Is it a staffing issue? A systems issue inside? A management issue? If it was only once or twice this happened, I would say it's a fluke or maybe a bad day but this is a reoccurring issue. Basically, we keep hoping for the day that the running of this location improves and they can get smoothies out in a timely manner. As someone who has worked and managed in food service, it boggles my mind. We visit this location a couple times a month. We've tried a few flavors but our favorite is the banana boat. The small is actually the size of a normal medium. I do think they're overpriced but the cashier said there's a mobile app for discounts. Our 9 yr old hates everything on the kids menu bc it's too watery. read more

I LOVE Smoothie King! I stop by almost every morning for a healthy, tasty breakfast before work. If you're in a hurry or on your way to work, you may want to stop by a few minutes early because sometimes they're a bit slow (but that doesn't bother me). Just recently started coming here and I absolutely love the smoothies! The only down side is having to sit in a line of 4 cars for close to 10 minutes. Just waiting for one smoothie for myself with no one else in the line still takes forever. Having 2 people working doesn't help either considering I've seen 1 person working and 1 person standing as I wait in line for 5 minutes. I will continue to come here as the smoothies are amazing but seriously you need some better employees, or at least train them better to where your customers aren't sitting for 5 minutes for 1 smoothie read more

Its a standard smoothie king located across from the college, which is cool it gives students an alternative to starbucks. The service is generally friendly but the lines and wait time can get exceptionally long. So if your in a rush, probably not a good idea to stop. I like that they have protein shakes and weight loss shakes so after a workout its a good place to stop in, I believe they give discounts to gold gym members. Definitely a great place to bring the kiddoes during the summer to get a healthy cool treat. read more

Overall Smoothie King is overpriced... but was wanting to try today. Arrived at this location. While there was a sign that says order ahead it did not say this lane only.... after waiting were told we have to get in the other lane. We obliged and only said the sign should be specific. While waiting in line 2 staff came out to read the sign. Kid you not... instead of making orders they are running around the parking lot trying to prove there was a sign. I got the peanut butter blaster (chocolate). It's also available in strawberry. It's delicious. My husband got the mango kale which was also delicious. I love that this is a drive thru. Very convenient. The service was quick and efficient. The sizes are huge. Their medium is larger than Tropical Smoothie's large. I ordered a small smoothie(bc these smoothies are good but overpriced), get to the window and pay only to realize that they have a special today that you can get 32oz for less than a small. No biggie, I ask the very young girl could she simply make my order as a 32oz. She goes "but I will have to refund you the money and it could take days". I reply I don't need a refund could you simply make my small a large. I didn't believe this was rocket science. Clearly I was mistaken.
