Couldn't taste the blackberry or hazelnut, just milk :') On the plus side, the food is very tasty and staff is always friendly. It is SUPER packed on weekends, you'd have to get there early to snag the seat you want. Also shoutout whoever is on aux, music is always good... unless you need to study or get work done (would choose another cafe to go if you can't lock in while feeling bass in your bones, it's so overstimulating)

This makes the drink quite a bit more expensive however, when I feel that they could just adjust the ratio for the latte slightly. But the coffee is very high quality, and many of the homemade syrups are delicious. This coffee shop is inside of a craft, gift, and florist shop which is quite fun and unique. Tree Town Cafe is one that I wouldn't have found if I didn't see it on a list of Rochester coffee shops. I feel like this cafe is sort of a hidden gem. I've been here twice-- once in the summer for an evening dinner on the patio, and most recently for a cozy study session in the winter. It's open decently late (for a coffee shop in Rochester) on weekdays (7pm), which is perfect for studying. They have plenty of parking in their parking lot. Their outdoor seating is placed directly in front of their building with plenty of shade, or in the grassy area next to the parking lot. It seems to be a kid-friendly cafe as well, since they have play areas. They have a cute indoor shop with food-related gifts like baked goodies, coffee, chocolate bars, and even dog treats. The service was wonderful, and they were very willing to make a call to the baker to check my allergies. There's not a lot of indoor seating, but it was enough to find a spot to study. The space heater in the small room was essential, although it got a little cool next to the glass once it started to get dark. As I mentioned, they do have free WiFi.

The woman taking the order did not tell us how the system works - leaving us puzzling as we sat at the table. My sister went up after we waited awhile, & asked. It appears some items were ready & she was going to bring it to us after everything was ready. The food: I ordered the 3 pc chicken tenders with honey mustard dipping sauce & the "loaded" ( ) tater tots. The tenders were good - crispy, not greasy, tender, not dried out. The breading was slightly salty. I liked the dipping sauce. The tater tots came & the first 3 I tried were not even the slightest bit warm. I saw a few clumps of what I think was thin melted orange cheese with I guess thin bacon crumbles. The most off putting thing about the potatoes was an odd unpleasant taste which I attribute to whatever oil they were cooked or coated in. Whatever it was left a chemical kind of taste in my mouth. On a different note, while the decor is charming, the chairs are uncomfortable. Altogether it was a disappointing experience. My sister spoke to the manager, after we finished, and he offered a replacement for the potatoes but she declined. I always like to look for espresso specials and we were not disappointed by the selection. My fiance got The Snug with maple syrup and molasses bitters. I was too afraid to try any drinks with bitters (I hate how it tastes in cocktails) but I took a sip of The Snug and it tasted great, I would definitely try that next time. I had the B.B.L. latte which had banana syrup, it was more on the sweet side but not overly sweet (I would avoid it if you don't enjoy a sweet palate, try a latte with bitters instead!) It was something unique to try and I was happy with my choice. There was also plenty of seating which is always a huge plus in the winter in Rochester. We had no trouble getting a table. I should also note that there was a very limited food selection here -- about 3 baked goods offered. So if you're looking for food and coffee, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Overall I would happily try out Ugly Duck again! I'm curious if they have outdoor seating in the warmer months.

I'm not sure I'd consider this a good place to study, but it's a nice place to catch up with friends or take a pause outside with a good drink on a patio. The seating inside is somewhat limited, but the patio is beautiful. The buildings will provide natural shade in the afternoon. Parking can also be difficult and limited.

There's a sign with arrows pointing where to go if you have puck up orders, need fresh grinding or a drink order. Everyone seemed to be in one line up front and the customers were blocking the path to get to the drink counter. This made it look like they were only using one line to serve all orders. They need a better system to direct the lines when its busy in there. Other than that the drink was delicious. I got the banana bread latte.
