We stopped in for a meal around 1 on a Sunday. There was no special event going on. The inside is pretty cool, definitely kind of farmhouse chic. There was a good mix of people. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about, but not bad. They were very busy and it seemed like they might have been short staffed. Definitely took our food awhile to come out, but the person preparing the food was very friendly.

We ate breakfast there today, New Years Day, and had a very good meal. We placed our order at the counter with super friendly woman (in wish I had gotten her name). We were 3 people and had 2 breakfast wraps, one standard and one with meat, the French toast sticks and shared an order of tots. The food was fresh, hot, delicious and delivered to our table, the coffee and Chai latte were served warm, not too hot to drink. We learned they do catering as well and are open evening when they have shows at the cabaret next door. Fun decor, farm theme, a different place to eat. We would definitely visit again! Thanks for taking good care of us.

This place is SOOOO cute! Think of cafe in a theater setting. The outside of the building doesn't do it justice. You walk up and honestly have no idea what's behind the door. Then you open and go OMG... soooo cute! The entire space is comfortable and quaint. The food was good. The service was kind and prompt. This would be a great spot for a business meeting, book club, event, etc.

Stopped this morning after running errands and it was a fun, pleasant and tasty visit. Can't wait for my next visit- and I won't wait long. My husband had his beloved cappuccino and I my standard Hot Chai Tea Latte. We had eaten some breakfast before running our errands so not very hungry- but we had room to split a sausage egg breakfast sandwich! Everything was fantastic. So glad we stopped. Excited to see upcoming drag brunch with Mrs Kasha Davis- seems like the old days, thinking about going out in public- for fun and food!

They correctly name their place Old Farm Cafe and Dining "Experience", because it was totally a wholesome experience sitting in the cafe. From the outside, the windows are all covered up with plates so we were a bit skeptical at first, but once you go in, we were captive . It honestly feels like we went into Disneyland or Universal Studio. The people who work there were very nice to us. The coffee was good to be honest. The latte was very good, it became my go-to coffee in Rochester. The cappuccino was also good, I'm just sad they did not use a mug for it and make some latte art with it... Overall, it was totally worth it to go here, even for the experience only, it was magical. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in Rochester!

As a fan of themed experiences who has been known to engage in the occasional work-from-Disney World trip, I was excited to read about The Old Farm Cafe in the D&C. It was everything I hoped it would be. As a themed experience, the details are fantastic. As soon as you walk in, it feels and sounds like nighttime. It's the same vibes you get at The Blue Bayou in Disneyland or inside the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot. Even the bathroom is themed! It's a great combination of hand painted scenes and practical themey objects, like the porch where performances take place or a water feature. There's also an animatronic owl. I hope to one day learn that the owl has a name and a back story. Surely it would be enough if it were merely an excellent theme, but the food is good, too. It would have been easy to do typical Rochester fare of hot dogs and wings, but their menu is varied and modern. Lots of healthy options, and the theming carries through to the food and drinks. Both times I've visited (about 10am), I was the only customer when I arrived, but others joined later. I really hope they're able to maintain staying opened during non-show hours because it's a peaceful and inspiring place to get some work done and have breakfast. Please come check it out and support themed experiences and hots-free menus in Rochester!

A group of us went for a special event : Drag me out to Brunch. The entertainment was enjoyable. For the money spent for a brunch special event we expected the food buffet to be better? There was a fruit bowl which was probably the best part of the buffet. In addition to that there were eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and a quinoa fruit dish as well. The potatoes were dry, and the bacon was tough. The sausage was ok, along with the eggs. If we wanted coffee we had to pay additional for that, and the brunch ticket included a mimosa, which was decent. So, we bought coffee and treats from the Cafe, which were pretty tasty. As this was a special event brunch they weren't making anything off their regular menu, so my guess those items would be much better than the buffet brunch. The atmosphere was different, no windows, but a night time out door feel.

The cafe stop you MUST make!!! The soft sounds of a waterfall, flute playing and birds chirping with the addition of blue and white lights and walls decorated like I'm in a field in the middle of summer somewhere! Then don't forget, the breakfast sandwich made how YOU like it with so many options!! Service was amazing, served with a smile and so helpful

Besides coffee and snacks, there are other things for sale like stickers, mugs, cards, and jewelry. We did the pumpkin painting event and paid $12 which included 2 mini pumpkins, painting supplies, and time in the cat room. The cats get along amazingly well for how many are in there together (maybe 10?). There may be some hisses or swats between cats, but as a cat owner I'll tell you that is completely normal. We pet them in between our pumpkins drying. The cats come from two different rescue groups and all are up for adoption except for Michael, who is the owner's cat. This is a great place for animal lovers to support local rescues and play with cats.

If you've ever been to a cat cafe, the experience is universal: book your appointment in advance, arrive on time, and go in when you're told to. The Friendly Feline is new and as such, it was easy to book an appointment. Walk ins are possible, but I'd recommend an appointment just to make your life easier. My mom and I got there a few minutes early to check in, and once it was our time, we were given a timer that indicated where we were in our hour. Then we went inside! There were five cats in residence that day, and there is a list of guidelines on the wall (basically, don't piss off the cats and use common sense). We sat down with a few toys and a laser pointer and waited for the cats to come to us. Overall, the cats were friendly but happy to let you know when they were over it and ready to walk away. The hour floated by and in that time, we were visited by all of the cats, with one even hopping up on the couch. There were three of the five that I felt were extra friendly and those cats circled around for extra attention. We had a great time at the Friendly Feline and I'd absolutely go back, even though Greece isn't exactly next door. It's never a bad thing to have more cat cafes and that means more cats find their forever homes sooner than they might have without cafe patrons having a good time.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS BEWARE!! I recently adopted my cat, Orion (formally Pirate at the Cafe), from…read moreToe Beans on May 25th, by the 27th he was hospitalized for diarrhea and vomiting. While there the vets found he had gastroenteritis, an ear infection and significant weight loss. Unnoticed by me at his adoption, he was improperly vaccinated and was not protected by the mandatory vaccinations all cats should have. After informing them of Orion's hospital stay and what happened, Toe Beans made the choice to tell me that the tests/diagnostics the vet did were unnecessary and that I should've just called them if I was having concerns about Orion's health. They are NOT a veterinary clinic. They also made the choice to assume the vets were incorrect about the improper vaccinations and tried to frame that as the vets trying to get more money out of me, I confirmed with 2 different vets that Orion was incorrectly vaccinated according to the records I received at his adoption and that he would need to be restarted on the vaccination schedule. Toe Beans attempted to gaslight me about what I was told at Orion's adoption, I was told he was quarantined for "mild sneezing" but was assured it would "pass in a few day" and that it was nothing to worry about by the employee assisting in his adoption. There was no mention of a suspected illness/infection or mentions of him having diarrhea at the adoption. There was no mention of any current ongoing medical treatment at his adoption, and I was not sent home with any type of medication for him. All I received was his ppaer work, a bag of dry food, a can of wet food, a blanket for his carrier, and assorted treats and toys. As evidenced by previous reviews ear infections are commonly missed at this facility and based on my experience they do not review medical records thoroughly enough before placing cats in a group environment. It has also come to my attention that upon receiving their cats they do not take them for any type of vet assessments as the only medical records I received were from when he was still in the Cayman Islands. They only take the cats to the vet when something is noticeably different, a risk when you don't know a cats personality as you don't know what changes to look for. Go with a reputable rescue or shelter that does regular vet visits when they receive their cats and are able to properly monitor their health. Toe Beans would rather pin all the blame on the new owner and the vets who worked to ensure the health and comfort of the cat than take accountability for their mistakes and actions. I was told on June 2nd that the rescue I adopted Orion through would reach out to me about my concerns regarding his hospitalization and the lack of care he received at Toe Beans, I have yet to be contacted by them. TLDR; Don't adopt from this cafe, they do not take care of their cats and will become extremely defensive and argumentative when confronted about this.

My wedding was in 2024 at the old Arbor Loft location. Working with Erica was absolutely…read morewonderful--she was kind, attentive, and truly cared about my wedding. The venue itself was beautiful, and some of the staff members we encountered were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, despite these positives, my overall experience left me feeling disappointed and stressed. At our final meeting, all of my carefully planned details were simply handed off to someone else who did not seem invested in my day. Half of my bridal party had never been in a wedding before, and despite asking multiple times, we were unable to secure a proper rehearsal time. We later learned this was because another event was booked that night. Our "rehearsal" ended up being squeezed into the bridal suite, which was chaotic. On top of that, another bridal party was scheduled to rehearse in our space at 1:00 p.m.--just two and a half hours before my guests were to arrive at 3:30. It was very stressful and did not feel like the focus was on our wedding. The morning of our wedding, I decorated everything with the help of one friend, only to have one of my bridesmaids rush in to tell me that another bridal party was practicing in the same space we had paid for and spent all morning decorating. The new woman in charge of the wedding (I never learned her name) Came to me and asked "what my problem was" When I asked about it, I was told, "Sorry, this is just how we do things here." That response left me feeling like my day wasn't valued. I also spent the night before carefully labeling bins and creating spreadsheets for the staff as they requested. Despite this, my belongings were returned completely disorganized--items were put in the wrong bins, frames were broken, and irreplaceable family photos were damaged. I had also rented flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms and specifically reminded the staff they were rentals that needed to be returned. Instead, they were placed in buckets of water--even though they were artificial--and I was later charged for them. I've been hesitant to leave this review because I wanted to move on and focus on the good memories of my wedding day. However, I feel future brides should be aware. While Erica was wonderful to work with, and the venue was undeniably beautiful, the way key details were handled was very disheartening.

The Arbor Loft was hands down the best decision we made in terms of vendors for our wedding. From…read morethe beginning at the inquiry stage, they responded quickly and gave us all the information in a digestible manner. The loft itself is a beautiful space. It's a venue where you can decorate as much or as little as you'd like. The exposed white brick, the huge industrial windows, the perfectly appointed greenery that's already there and the adorable trendy modern furniture all make a great setting for whatever the event. The bridal and groomsman suites are amazing!! There's a photo opportunity at every corner. I loved how all my photos turned out! The Arbor Loft staff are just wonderful. We worked with Maddy first who got us to the contracts stage. She was super helpful and responded to all of our lengthy contract review comments. Then we worked with Carly all the way up until the wedding day. I cannot express how thankful we were to Carly. She responded to every email we had in less than 48 hours (I cannot say that for any of my other vendors). No matter how small or big the list of questions were, we got an answer. As a stressed out and type A bride, I can't even begin to stress the importance of receiving an answer in a reasonable timeframe. Unless you do one of their planner packages, it's important to note the Arbor Loft is not your wedding planner. They are very good however at asking the questions that make sure you are on track and have the minimum you need for a wedding day. On the day itself we worked with Autumn. She was so calming and even helped me with a fussy bustle that none of my bridesmaids can figure out. I would not have been able to do my first dance without her! For catering we used the Loft's Folk catering. They had such an interesting menu and we received such good feedback on the food. One of my picky friends event complimented on the dinner. They presented the buffet beautifully. For late night we picked a couple pizzas from swan dive, which delivered straight to the venue. This was the best food item for me on the day. The vegan pizza was soooooo delicious and I was grateful for the extra food since I didn't eat much during the day. Since Folk and Swan Dive were associated with the loft, everything was on one invoice and it was so easy when it came to settling the bill. Carly also kept us on track with payments which we were so grateful for. At the end of the wedding, the staff packed up all of our decorations for us based on an inventory list which was so helpful!! Especially when you're exhausted at the end of the night! Some tips for anyone engaged and getting married at the Loft. Attend one of their open houses. It's super helpful to see the types of furniture, linens, and rentals they offer. Don't buy anything that the loft can provide either for free or a reasonable price. The open house also gives you the vibe of when there are people there. You can also sample food from one of their caterers. And it's free! Take advantage of the furniture that's in the loft already. They have really cute lounge pieces that you can use for a photo op. Use the greenery they have in the space. All of these items can be moved to wherever you want if you just ask. The bridal suite is huge and a lovely space to get ready, use it. One suggestion I have for the loft is to have a bar sampling night. We did not get to taste test any of the drinks they offered for signature cocktails or any of their other alcohols. I'm sure they did a great job with the open bar but I think a drinks night will be super fun for everyone. I absolutely will recommend working with the Arbor Loft team at any of their locations. We had full faith in the team, this is what they do every day! Thank you Arbor Loft :) **All photos are from the amazingly talented Abigail Lynn Photography
