Santa Fe

This place is such a west side gem! The ambiance of the place has been a perfect spot to get some work done from. The coffee drinks are delicious and the menu is extensive. There are a whole bunch of baked goods at the front of the counter. A cookie I have tried was great. I was also very pleased with the breakfast sandwich that I tried on my last visit and it was kindly brought out to me at my table after ordering from the counter. The only bit of confusion I had was at first understanding that you order drinks in one area and your food at another spot further inside at the counter. They kindly took my order at one spot at the time and clarified where you would normally order what. I plan to stop in often! Thank you for awesome service here and a quality spot on the west side

The results are in: this place is awesome. Not only can I say their breakfast sandwiches are delicious, but definitely also their lunch sandwiches, pastries, and above all their coffee. We've purchased coffee beans for coffee at home and I am thoroughly impressed- the hazelnut one is delicious. And today we tried the Southern Pecan. YUM. This is basically the perfect lunch spot and I can't wait to go back and enjoy the outdoor patio on a warm day. I highly recommend!!

White chocolate pumkin latte Bagel with egg, mushrooms, cheese

I don't quite understand the aesthetic (anything 60s, maybe?), but it seems to work quite well in this eclectic space. The shop offers breakfast and lunch meal options (mainly sandwiches or paninis), and a basic coffee menu. Seasonal coffee and latte drink options are offered - like the delicious white chocolate pumpkin latte! The breakfast sandwiches can be on a bagel or muffin, but are probably best if you eat pork and can add bacon/sausage/ham. I can definitely imagine sitting here doing work when/if I'm in the Gates/Chili area. There is plenty of seating, free WiFi, and a variety of table sizes.

Leaf and Bean is probably one of my favorite café in Rochester, everyone is always so kind, caring, and genuine. The customer service is always excellent, and they're always glad to serve you. :) Today I got the lobster bisque and it was wonderful. I asked the owner what one of their pastries were and he explained explained to me it's was an rhubarb tart ( if I remember correctly). I told him I'm personally not a fan of rhubarb but I but I was willing to try it out. He so kindly said he would just give it to me so he would have to feel bad if I didn't like it. He asked that I would give him my honest opinion, even if I didn't like it haha. I have attached a photo down below and it was wonderful. The rhubarb filling tasted as if it was a cherry pie and the icing drizzle completed the pastry all together with a light lemon zest. Thank you always a pleasure coming here

Leaf & Bean is my favorite coffee shop on the west side. They have a huge menu of drinks (coffee, teas, and other non-coffee options) and food, with soups, sandwiches, wraps, sweets, and more. The macarons are my favorite! I really like their specialty lattes; the Oxford is my favorite. They're definitely sweet though, so if you prefer only a bit of flavor ask for fewer flavor shots. I've only eaten in once or twice, but their sandwiches are great. Service is a little slow, but it's nothing too outrageous. The end product is always worth the wait. The staff is friendly, too. There's plenty of seating and free wifi, so this is a great place to meet friends or get work done (maybe bring headphones if you're doing the latter). They have a nice outdoor seating area with lots of tables, too.

Turkey something panini-delicious!!!

Every restaurant in this plaza is good, so if one is busy go to another. The whole plaza is magical and this place is definitely a contributing factor, great lunch spot! I came here for lunch with a friend and her daughter. We all had excellent sandwiches/paninis. The coffee drink I ordered was on point. I couldn't decide what to get. The cookie I got was delicious too. Oatmeal butterscotch. It's cute inside. I like the art on the walls. I loved the courtyard. I wish we could have eaten there but it was pouring. I will go back for a quick lunch while I'm here in town!

Black and bleu panini

Cute cafe, great sandwiches and paninis. Their drinks are good but nothing I crave, I come here specifically for the Paninis. My favorite is the black and bleu panini. It is absolutely delicious, Melt in your mouth good! There's some seating in the front and more in the back but overall it's relatively tiny.

Bacon, egg, cheese croissant Sammy!!

Drinks are amazing, and food is good, but does lack in some departments. New kitchen remodel does look nice and adds to the atmosphere.

Mendon Brunch On The Brook - French Toast

Mendon Brunch On The Brook

Went to Mendon Brunch on the Brook yesterday morning with my girlfriend. I've been multiple times…read moreand it's always delicious. I've had the Breakfast Poutine, the Skillet, and the French Toast -- all very well done and clearly high quality. The space is cozy and comfortable, and the staff is always kind and attentive. Easily one of the best breakfast spots in the greater Rochester area. I'll keep coming back.

They also have additional seating at 2 bar/counter areas. Our waitress was very attentive and took great care of us. The food was amazing, although on the pricey side for breakfast, but you also aren't getting basic breakfast dishes. Well worth it for a treat or special breakfast. My wife had the Croque Madame and enjoyed it very much. My daughters had the French toast and The B.O.B sans the baguette because she is GF. Both enjoyed the dishes. I had the shrimp and grits with 2 poached eggs. I am a hearty eater and I had a hard time finishing but ultimately made my mom proud. They were delicious. Creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Shrimp was perfectly cooked as were the eggs. Only things I would change; more outdoor seating in good weather as they are limited inside, and GF options. Otherwise we are definitely going back. Take a look at the pics and you will see this is not a diner breakfast. This is a legit culinary experience.

Whenever I drive by the parking lot is slammed. I knew this place had to be good. There is almost completely instantly a line and I felt lucky to find a table. It's simply so popular, I don't know if it's large enough. The tables are close so if you're trying to have a private conversation-you won't get it here. There is a variety of seating options. Comfy conversation chairs, a booth banquette with chairs on the other side, chairs and tables, and a bar top along the windows with outside eating for warm sunny days. The cups are a rich brown color with gold probably Arabic writing. The dessert case is filled with sumptuous fruit shaped mousse desserts. The coffee itself is beyond compare. There are boxed games. Things are delivered to your table on wooden trays. It's so elegant. I cannot say enough nice things. The staff is so friendly. I had a Nutella latte and a raspberry dessert. I asked which dessert was best, the lady at the register said the mango. Mango is not my thing but she said next best is raspberry. It's the perfect size. A hard crisp shell, creamy mousse and a perfect raspberry center. I also got a pistachio latte. Both were excellent.
