Wow! What an incredible experience at the Cedar Street Cafe. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It has a nice small cafe feel with plenty of natural light. The standout from my lunch was the food. The chicken quesadilla was incredible. The chicken was well seasoned and extremely tasty. The absolute best part was the delicious homemade flour tortilla. I highly recommend this place! I had the breakfast burrito which was so flavorful and huge! You could almost split it with someone. The price was very reasonable for the portion size. Customer service was quick and friendly. The only thing is the place is small, so it can feel a bit crowded depending on the amount of people there. I went there with a companion - the place is definitely an upgrade from its prior location. Ample parking. About 5 tables in the restaurant and we grabbed the last table on this Sunday afternoon. One places an order at the counter - We ordered a pair of Barbacoa tacos (only available on the weekends) and also a Migas taco. the server was very pleasant and they bring out your food and coffee to the table. I bit into the first Barbacoa taco and grease just dripped out - quite a bit. I know that the Barbacoa meat can be a little greasy, depends on the cut of the meat, but this grease was too much for me. I started to pat down the meat with a paper napkin to soak up the grease, but then decided not to eat the Barbacoa tacos as I'm trying to eat somewhat healthy [and this was definitely not a close call to healthy]. The Migas taco was good. Their taco sauce is spicy and does not have a good flavor. Their green sauce (salsa verde) is very good and a bit spicy. Overall, I compromised on a "2" star rating as the coffee was good and the Migas taco was also good. I'm not planning to come back. read more

This has become lowkey one of my favorite options for weekend brunch, a casual lunch, afternoon meetup, a simple meal, and is a standout biz in the heart of Bellaire. While locals are quick to point out the food, I think it starts with the service. The ladies who work here are friendly, full of smiles, and do a great job at keeping the place looking great and the food quality high. The place has grown in fanfare and seating, which comfortably boasts indoor and outdoor options. Their breakfast tacos are fire. The winning combo is their chorizo and egg but the potato and egg is no slouch. The salsa verde is creamy and addicting and is equally an excellent condiment for their stellar huevos rancheros and chilaquiles.. The owner is Ana Soria, who is also behind the well known Momma's Tamales (#1), both businesses of which were born during the pandemic. I wasn't really a fan of their chilaquiles though. The restaurant is pretty small, but it is super cute and they have a small outside seating area. Hidden gem alert!!! The cafe is small, barely able to hold a dozen people at a time. I used to come here just for a quick coffee because it's close to my house, but one day I tried the quesadillas. The tortillas stole the show. Now I stop here every chance I have for something, and whatever it is, I know it will be fresh, delicious and clean. Love the new location, however our barbacoa tacos had very little meat, they used to add a generous amount, and the taste was very different. The tortilla did not taste homemade like it used to. The orange juice was also a bit bitter. Hopefully it gets better as I understand that they changed buildings. read more

It looks like they just moved locations around the corner from their old spot, so make sure you head to 5211 Cedar St. Super cute little building and plenty of parking surrounding the place! Got a latte and some breakfast tacos and it was a let down. One of the worst coffee I have ever had and the tacos are way over priced for portion and quality.
