Migas Taco - Looks good and no grease.
    Bob S.

I went there with a companion - the place is definitely an upgrade from its prior location. Ample parking. About 5 tables in the restaurant and we grabbed the last table on this Sunday afternoon. One places an order at the counter - We ordered a pair of Barbacoa tacos (only available on the weekends) and also a Migas taco. the server was very pleasant and they bring out your food and coffee to the table. I bit into the first Barbacoa taco and grease just dripped out - quite a bit. I know that the Barbacoa meat can be a little greasy, depends on the cut of the meat, but this grease was too much for me. I started to pat down the meat with a paper napkin to soak up the grease, but then decided not to eat the Barbacoa tacos as I'm trying to eat somewhat healthy [and this was definitely not a close call to healthy]. The Migas taco was good. Their taco sauce is spicy and does not have a good flavor. Their green sauce (salsa verde) is very good and a bit spicy. Overall, I compromised on a "2" star rating as the coffee was good and the Migas taco was also good. I'm not planning to come back.

I love cedar street cafe!! They have amazing breakfast tacos. Make sure you get the spicy green salsa to go with them. They also make a pretty good iced mocha. I wasn't really a fan of their chilaquiles though. The restaurant is pretty small, but it is super cute and they have a small outside seating area. This place is definitely a hidden gem in the Bellaire area.

So thankful to have something like this in Bellaire. The breakfast tacos are generously stuffed and the coffee is legit. Tortillas and salsa are made fresh. Barbacoa available on the weekend.

I stumbled across this place after an appointment in the area and boy am I glad I did!! This is for sure going to be added to my breakfast taco rotation. It looks like they just moved locations around the corner from their old spot, so make sure you head to 5211 Cedar St. Super cute little building and plenty of parking surrounding the place! Staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. I ordered two bacon, egg, and cheese tacos and they were stuffeddd I was so happy. Add on the green sauce that comes on the side... amazing.

What a nice yummy place for a breakfast burrito and a coffee. The burritos were fresh. The service was fast and the coffee was really good!

I would definitely recommend making a reservation, as it can get pretty busy, especially during Saturday lunch. There is also plenty of parking available across the street. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and felt so authentic to Mexican culture. Our server, Kylah, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and so kind throughout our entire dining experience. Now onto the food; everything was absolutely delicious. The Avocado Mollete and Chilaquiles Divorciados were both packed with so much flavor. Every bite was amazing. I had heard that the pancakes were the star of the show, and they definitely lived up to the hype. I have never had pancakes this crispy before, and they were so good! Our server also brought out a birthday surprise, the Chocolate Cremoso, and it was delicious! It was such a sweet touch to the celebration. Honestly, everything my party ordered was so flavorful and delicious. We had such a great experience, and I genuinely cannot wait to come back!

Service was remarkable and very friendly from the host to the cleaning staff. Food was delicious. I really appreciated the creative flavors that were inspired by authentic Mexican cuisine. Standouts were the guacamole and wagyu carne asada, but everything was fantastic. I loved the Clara cocktail and enjoyed learning about the process to create it. It is clear that there was care and attention behind each menu item. Also, the pace of the food being brought out was evenly paced, which I appreciate, and our server gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and they sent out a tres leches with a candle on it. Very kind and very delicious dessert. Usually not a big fan of tres leches, but this one was not overwhelmingly soaked in condensed milk, and it has a very fresh tasting peach (seasonal) puree drizzled on top. We will most definitely return.

All I can say is "Wow!"…read more If there is one thing that I feel I can evaluate with some degree of authority, it is the quality of taqueria fare. And Taqueria Mexico is one that I feel truly exemplifies this genre of Texas cuisine (Texas taquerias are by definition Mexican / Tex-Mex hybrids). On my most recent visit to my favorite city in the world, I happened to stay in the Galleria. Given that I usually prefer to dine in or around where I am staying, I was fairly limited to what I generally *like* with respect to restaurants, so I ventured into the adjacent but familiar Sharpstown neighborhood. On my last day in town, we wanted Taqueria brunch (what's new?). Driving down Bellaire Boulevard, I spotted Taqueria Mexico. It occured to me that I used to come here quite a bit when I first moved to Houston (at that time, living in Sharpstown). The only thing I remembered very vividly was how good their salsas were, which, combined with nostalgia, was enough for me to make the decision to eat here. This was without a doubt some of the best taqueria brunch I have had in years. I order almost exclusively à la carte due to health-related dietary reasons. Anyone familiar with my reviews and content would know this, and what I usually order - steak, eggs, and bacon (à la carte). Not only was this some of the best taqueria steak I have had in a while, the service and atmosphere were also top-notch. And, did I mention their salsas? I would come back again just for that! If you are in the Sharpstown area, and looking for a good classic Houston taqueria, with quality food, service, and a clean vibrant environment, I highly recommend stopping by here. I doubt you will be dissapointed!

The decor of this place is like walking into a low rider's garage, there's bright murals all over the walls of skulls, Houston sports teams, landmarks and celebrities. It's a whole vibe walking in with the all the colors and reggaeton blasting. The restaurant was slow paced on our visit. The food took awhile to get to the table, longer than other places. Our server did inform us that everything is homemade from scratch. But it was an hour between when we ordered and our meals came out. That wouldn't have been a problem if I was halfway through my third Dirty Horchata, but it was my lunch hour and time is short. So that knocks it down a star. On to the food- Shrimp Quesadillas- good, the cheese was gooey and had a great pull. It was buttery and fried perfectly, the shrimp were crisp and well cooked. Rice- it was super! Loved it. Refried Beans- one of my coworkers didn't get her beans with the meal. So I gave her mine, since we only had an hour I had to take the beans to go. Don't ask about the guac because I gave it away! I will try Dona Leti's again. The food was very good, maybe a cook called in and it was just a bad day. All I know is the bartender better be on point when I go back.

It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks (water) and nearly 45 minutes to get our food. I had to flag the waiter down every time I needed something, and they weren't even that busy. I ordered the 3-taco entree ;two chicken fajita tacos and one steak fajita taco and I was disappointed when I realized they use dark meat chicken for their chicken fajita tacos. This was a first for me. Every Mexican restaurant I've been to has used chicken breast for chicken fajita tacos, so that's what I was expecting. Waiting 45 minutes for tacos and nachos, combined with the subpar service, really took away from the experience. The service, the food and service just didn't live up to all the hype. I definitely won't be rushing back.
