My Mom, my neighbors and I went up the Road here. I had never eaten here. We had breakfast. Nice atmosphere. Nice breakfast They serve outdoors when It's warm outside. I would eat here again. I would like to try lunch or dinner You did have to ask for anything you wanted. Like coffee. They walk right by you and see your table is crowded and don't ask to pull anything and have coffee and don't offer Kinda fd up I thought

First time for all six of us, and we enjoyed most of the food, the atmosphere, and the company. Two young ladies were our wait staff - pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch, and didn't feel rushed. Husband had the fried chicken sandwich. It wasn't as good as he hoped. It was a little dry even with added mayonnaise. In the middle of eating it, he switched to a knife & fork. His side salad was okay. I had the Cobb salad with greens, lots of chicken, sliced hard boiled egg, diced cucumbers & tomatoes, green pepper & avocado slices and picked onions. It was good - especially the chicken and avocado slices. I'm not sure what everyone else had, but most of us cleaned our plates. The desserts were delicious. Husband savored every bite of his coconut custard pie. The blueberry cheesecake was very good, but after a bite of the salted caramel cheesecake that a friend ordered, I know I should have had that. They were out of key lime pie which 2 friends wanted. They took bites of the two cheesecakes and two coconut custard pie slices. The service was exceptional. We'll definitely be back, to try other things on the menu, but especially for the desserts!

This cafe is the welcoming gathering spot for this rural hamlet as well as a refueling stop for DuPont hikers and bikers. A chalkboard menu offers daily specials. Expect a mix of cultural cuisines here. Burgers and trout are staples on the regular menu. Prices are moderate and service is very friendly. Nice outdoor dining area too.

My second time at Cedar Mountain and it had been a few years. I thought perhaps I exaggerated how great it was last time in my head because I was so hungry after my long hike in DuPont. Nope. This time I went pre hike and it was still fabulous! Again, I sat outside in the cozy garden patio. Waitress was very attentive but also told us to help ourselves to anything we needed from the water or coffee station if she got busy inside. I ordered the huevos rancheros overly creamy grits -- such a mix of flavors and textures. Husband enjoyed the Mexican omelette and daughter enjoyed pancakes and grits. We were all impressed. I absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant.

Of all the places we ate in this area, Cedar Mountain Cafe was by far the one we enjoyed the most. Their food didn't disappoint. We ended up going there multiple times to try their menu for different times of the day (breakfast and lunch). Our service both times were very nice. We had the same waitress. The ambiance was busy and smaller in sitting compared to other establishments we visited. One tip to know is that your whole party needs to be there before you are seated. Parking when we went wasn't bad...you can find plenty in the back! They have a beautiful water fountain that mimics a water fall; very pretty for photos!

A little bit of a drive from Brevard but worth it. The service was fast and friendly and the food was A+. Want a good breakfast, drive here.

What a great little gem tucked away in the Cedar Mountain area. Locally sourced food at a fair price. Bacon Hash was amazing!

If you're looking for a place that combines atmosphere with good quality food then you'll be in for a treat. Make sure to try out one of their skillet breakfasts or bowls as we've tried both on multiple visits. It's not just creative for the sake of it--the food delivers. Great balance, great presentation, and dishes that actually live up to the vision. I called over to the Square Root to check the kitchen timing (it was getting on 8) and all was well. We managed a seat at the bar and this was perfect for us. We chatted a bit with the servers, who were amazing. There is a ton enjoyment for the job and the space going on here. We also met some semi-locals who were awesome. Shout out to "Kendall-Jackson"! The menu is full of local ingredients and plenty of temptations. The specials were even more tempting and we grabbed oysters to kick it off. The pepper/spicy mignonette is so so good. It's just the right mix of classic and new. I didn't need the other sauce, especially with just 6 oysters. I eyed the yellowtail snapper (snapper, right? def not tuna) special, but opted for the Korean chicken sandwich. Quite good! I could have used a stronger flavor from the kimchi and, frankly, less of a mess, but the cook was just right, the flavor profiles were excellent, and the portion was plenty. A really good sandwich! I had the sweet potato chips as my side and I can see why they are popular. We kept the leftover sauces from the oysters just so I could dip my chips. Good call! She Said: I'd like to start by complimenting the fantastic staff. They've obviously been here a while, and they're enthusiastic about this place. He Said covered the oysters (yum!) and the mignonette (double yum!), so I'll focus on the mushroom tart that I got as my meal. The rough puff was really done well, and the mushroom and goat cheese combo was terrific. I thought they would be inside the pastry, but I adapted. The whole dish was terrific, and though I thought it was too salty for me, I also know that I'm sensitive to salt. All in all, we will definitely be back! Potty Points: no trip to the potty for me on this one!
