My husband and I each tried different dishes so we could explore them all. First Course was Charred Asian Greens and Scallops - Atlantic scallop with gai lan, toasted black bean, and chicharron. and Grilled lettuce - grilled romaine lettuce, smoked ham, salmon roe, pickled oranges, and manchego cheese Both were great and very different. The charred greens had a smoky essence to it, and paired with the freshness of the sweet scallop made a lovely contrast. The grilled lettuce was beautiful to look at and had many contrasts in flavours. Loved the salmon roe. Second Course was Steak Kare Kare - flank steak with peanut sauce, ube mashed potatoes and eggplant puree Ginstaag Hipon - Argentina prawns, sticky rice coconut milk with fermented shrimp. Both were excellent but very different. The steak kare kare was rich and warming on this March night. The Ginstaag Hipon on the other hand was lighter and more of a tropical feel. Finally dessert Halo Halo - shaved ice cream, leche flan carmelized banana Ubu and Mango Crepes with mango ice cream Both were excellent and we were stuffed at the end.

I was so surprised because the price was so affordable and it's also unlimited rice. I was satisfied with the two scoops of rice that came with the entree but the fact that unlimited rice was a built in option was great. Every bite of the chicken inasal was flavorful and delicious. There was a toyomansi (soy sauce + calamansi) sauce but I didn't use much of it because the chicken was already perfect to me. The chicken skin was crispy, the taste was savory and slightly sweet which worked together so well. It was a well balanced dish. The people serving us were so sweet. I'm filipino so the restaurant environment and how I was treated made me feel like I was at home. They gave us gloves so we could eat with our hands and I haven't done that in years (if you don't know how to eat with your hands, there are utensils as well lol). It took me back to my childhood. I loved how authentic the whole experience was. I'd bring my whole family here so they can enjoy it as much as I did. Anyways, this place deserves all the stars and business. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular. This place is that good. They have more than just chicken inasal on their menu but that dish exceeded my expectations. Thank you for taking care of us!

Finally made it today, and I was impressed! Great service paired with great food. The prices are very reasonable for the quality--Corn Cheese for $10 in 2025 Canada is a steal! The grilled squid was disappointing--too dry and not worth the $24. I wouldn't recommend ordering it. We had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes late, but they kindly waited for us (they allow a maximum 15-minute grace period for reservations). If you make a reservation, they'll offer you a private room, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was just right--not too loud but lively enough to enjoy. For 3 people, including a 60oz beer, the bill came to $130 no tax. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely return (just not for the grilled squid!). Lol

Got the strawberry Soju. I loved it, friend did not. Tried the Baekjeong Combo for 2. Steamed egg was sooooo cool. Tasted pretty bland but presentation was 12/10. Stone/container keeps it hot for quite a while too! Tried the only soup that did not say spicy. 10/10 was good. Rice was good. Salad was good - I liked the dressing. Pickled ?daikon was 10/10 so great for cutting through all the meat flavor. Bean sprouts were just okay. Friend liked the sauerkraut but I did not. Broccoli was very nice to grill. Marinated raw Onion was good (better slightly warmed on the grill). Marinated pork was my favorite. Pork belly was good. The super thinly sliced was one was my least favorite. Hard to cook and shrivels up too much. The super thick cuts I also did not like as I found it too chewy but honestly that could just be my cooking skills. Grill was swapped out 3 times during our 1.5hr experience. Ate 100% of everything But only 50% of the egg, and 10% of the bean sprouts (2 very hungry people). Overall what a fun experience. But I like Gyu-Kaku more (Better price for same experience and I like the marinated cheap meats better than the expensive cuts).

Across the street from the NAIT Campus, we came on a Friday evening when it wasn't very busy in the area, but I can see where finding parking nearby might be a huge issue. There is only street parking around this area. Chicken For You is a small space inside a strip mall along 118th Ave. Most of the strip mall places were either shut or non-existent. It was a little desolate along this area. Regardless, we walked in and there are 5, maybe 6 tables. You order from the counter and then take a seat anywhere. We decided to hunker at a table near the TV where there was a K-Pop show going on ! We both ordered Combo meals, Mild Chicken and one with Fries, the other with Fried Rice. The gal at the counter told us it would be about 20 mins as they cook the chicken fresh when the order is placed. There were a number of Skip/DoorDash/Uber Eats deliveries that came in and left in the time that we were waiting. So clearly it's fairly popular. When our food was ready the gal came rushing out of the kitchen. Not what I expected... for $11 - Combo with Fries & $13 - Combo with Fried Rice, I thought there would be only 2 pieces of chicken... but No! 6 pieces in one and 7 in the other. The first bite and this chicken just came out of the fryer ! Piping Hot ! Overall, Chicken for You has fabulous Korean style chicken ! Serving sizes are very large, and even a single combo could have fed both of us. The Prices are incredibly reasonable ! The décor for the place is nothing to write home about. While being clean, it feels a bit rough around the edges. While the Fries in the combo are very good, I have to say the Fried Rice was a bit of disappointment. Regardless of the rice, I like this place and am now wanting to try some of the other items on the menu. We'll be back !

The fried oysters are $15 for 7 pieces, which I think is quite pricey, and the oysters were too small. If you want to try them, go for it, but I didn't think they were worth it. The Rosu & Hire Katsu, a mix of pork sirloin and tenderloin cutlet, is $20. That's not bad; they were well-cooked, juicy, and crispy. I didn't try the cheese katsu, which I really wanted to, but maybe next time I'll order the mixed set for $26. The beef and egg hot stone dish is $18. It's pretty standard for a hot stone dish, but the stone was definitely hot and had a very Korean feel. I liked this one the most. It's not a busy restaurant, but I understand that deep-frying takes time, so the wait is understandable. The service was good, though there was only one waitress. She was very nice and had a good smile on her face. Overall, it's a quiet restaurant and not too busy atmosphere, so it's worth a try.

Opened a couple months back, Miga had a surge of popularity with attention spurring over their hot plates that made up of cheese and rice cakes. Not a fan of either, my interest to try out Miga wasn't peaked until I saw their full menu floating around online, extensive list! Soft Clear Noodles with Beef and Vegetables - Japchae - ($18) - Lacked flavoring, I'm use to the subtle sesame oil taste in most of the Japchaes' that I order which this lacked. So for me this one was pretty bland. Noodles were nice and soft, impressed with how long the noodles were too. Pork Neck Bone Soup - Gamja-Tang - ($15) - Pretty solid bowl! Had three very generous sized bones with ridiculously tendered meat. Didn't need any spoon action, meat flaked off with just a scrape from the chopsticks. Which guarantees that the soup had plenty of flavor. Had a sharp kick of spice which balanced really well with the savory meat bites. But like the first dish, was missing some of flavor, perilla seeds and pepper topped on top usually adds that additional subtle kick that blends well with the spice, which wasn't provided in this. Also worth noting that with how flavorful the soup was, the potatoes were really bland. Korean Style Barbecue Short Ribs - Galbi - ($28) - Gorgeous coloring with a strong savory marinade that resulted in an amazing caramelized crust on the edges of each rib. Worth getting your hands dirty, and no judgement if you start gnawing on that bone- Which you definitely should. BANCHANS! We had five, cubed radish kimchi - seasoned bean sprouts - fish cake - pickled cabbage - potato salad - THE POTATO SALAD WAS BOMBS GUYS. They mixed bits of potatoes with macaroni and raisins and omg... I should have asked for more. Overall really satisfied with dinner at Miga! The shop is cozy and clean with plenty of seating. Service was extremely friendly and relaxed. Portions are also huge, and prices were fair. I'd come back and recommend! It's also right beside Pocha Seoul .. talk about competition?!
