SFC is now an Edmonton staple. Nothing amazing but could never go wrong with Korean fried chicken

Seoul Fried Chicken is my favourite place to get Korean fried chicken. On this visit, I ordered the soy garlic chicken for pickup. The service at the restaurant was quick and very friendly. The chicken was crisp and the sauce was very flavourful. The portion size was very large! SFC provides excellent chicken at a reasonable price, it's definitely worth visiting!

Korean fried chicken. The best when they are hot crispy and flavourful! Anytime I want fried chicken I definitely turn to this form of KFC! We ordered the cilantro & lime as well as the sweet and Spicy 5 pieces this time for 3 people to share. More than enough food depending on how hungry you are! Crispy, tender, and fresh tasting. Pretty sure it isn't frozen so that is good. I liked how they also had gloves you could use to not get your hands too dirty!

Moist moist moist! Been a minute since we popped into SFC. We appreciate our hankerings for mouth watering chicken are met with consistently great dishes! The garlic Soy marinade is my favorite, cilantro lime, coming in a close second! Worth the trip!

Absolutely delicious. For 17.00 I got large juicy chicken tenders, salad and ton of delicious French fries. I ordered the tenders in G.P. cheese sauce (which is a ranch dressing). Service was quick, I just ordered online then came in to pick up. Will for sure order again.

Free parking in the strip-mall parking lot just south which was easy to find and had lots of room. No bathroom. Menu is easy to read but makes it hard to sample lots of different flavors due to the large portions. Order was ready in ~4 minutes! Luckily there was room on one of the 2 outside benches to sit and eat as there is NO dine-in and limited benches outside. I tried the: Garlic Soy half order - great flavor. Not too garlic or soy saucy. G.P Cheese half order - friend loved this flavor. Very cheesy ranch. Overall quite a variety of shapes and sizes of pieces. VERY messy. Chicken was very moist but not as crispy as I thought it would be. Both flavors were good. Next time I really want to try the Black Bean Brownie Pudding!

Interesting place. Music is very loud and very funky. Chicken is decent. The young man said the Garlic Soy and BBQ was the most popular. I ordered a 4 piece box of each. Chicken tenders are large, juicy and well.....tender. Flavor is average, nothing spectacular. The Garlic Soy is unique and has a fun flavor, the BBQ is nothing special, skip it....... I was surprised that the tenders were not fully coated, I would have ordered more sauce but the young man said it was $3 each. I also couldn't believe they did not have ranch. However, they had a Garlic Gravy, I think..... Some kind of white sauce, but it was $3.50, for a tiny amount - I took a pic.... Overall, about average for Korean fried chicken, but value wise, I do not think spending $30 on a lunch for tenders is all that great.

The chicken is tender and juicy! One of the best KFC places I've had. It's best eaten all on the first day Soy Garlic (half) $16 - I like the sliver of onions - This is a classic with the sweet sauce GP Cheese (half) $17 - grana padano with zest and parsley - tasted a lot of lovely savoury flavours like blue cheese/ranch? Can't quite tell but it was so good! I would order this again

This review is coming super late but it's still worth mentioning. Order came onto fast and HOT! The sauce from the cornbread was absorbed by the container but didn't leak out of the box! The chicken hit the spot and I'll definitely make another visit when I'm in town again!

I love Seoul Fried chicken, this is a popular eat for authentic Korean Friend Chicken. Many flavours to choose from such as garlic soy, cilantro, hot, ect. The service here is amazing, the workers are patient and friendly. I always buy the 5 piece chicken set because it comes with a side; you can choose from kale salad or Mac n cheese, fries and a pop. A very good meal ! The chicken is juicy and cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend coming here :)

Came here for Valentine's Day take out and boy was it ever busy!! We tried calling in advance but no one was answering the phone so we just drove over there. The place was packed. Hot tip tho, if you order through Uber eats for pick up you can order ahead and just pick it up when you get notified that your order is ready! This method was super fast and convenient. Even though it was really busy, the wait wasn't unreasonable and the service was still friendly.

Crispy, perfectly seasoned fried chicken with flavorful sauce! Eating with your fingers is not only acceptable, it's all but required. It seems like they always give you an extra piece of delicious chicken than what you pay for. We ordered online and waited for more than 30 minutes in the parking lot, but let me tell you it's worth the wait. My favourite is GP Cheese, the saltiness of the cheese and hint of zest and parsley just worked together.

Awesome chicken w huge servings! Side of coleslaw enough for 4 at $6!!!! Three servings fries pictured below. We got 20 SFC BBQ - great sauce, right amount of spice Ed's and some pieces were solid chicken breast. Only drawback is limited seating w four tables for 2 and 1 table of 6. However, everything his designed for efficiency from the buckets on the table, rolls of plain brown paper towels on the table, pizza type boxes for your orders of wings and fries. You are giving up ambience for great food at extremely reasonable prices.

We picked the soybean paste soup with tofu, beef brisket and veggies. I enjoyed the saltiness of the soup with rice as well. The dumplings were super crispy and were deep fried perfection. Ambiance was lively as the restaurant was busy. Restaurant was clean including the restrooms. There was plenty of free parking on the plaza. My only complaint is the price of the dumplings. I am too used to Lower Mainland prices that there was a sticker shock at $18.95. Maybe this is the normal in Edmonton?

We love kbbq but it's very expensive here in Edmonton, and there are only two in the city. It's located in an inconspicuous (weird if you ask me) spot, in a neighbourhood in front of a school. Parking wasn't that difficult to get. Upon arriving we waited 10 minutes for our reservation and we got seated. The vibe and atmosphere of this place is very family-run-authentic. The meats are served buffet style and you grab your own drinks from the soda fountain. Sides of lettuce, salad (my personal fave- amazing vinaigrette to cut the meat), kimchi, bean sprouts, etc. There were also a few variety of fried items. My favorite was the shrimp chips. They also have fried rice but no white rice. Which leads me to my next point-- Service: AMAZING!! One of the older ladies saw my boyfriend and I mixing our fried rice and kimchi to make kimchi fried rice. She asked if we wanted some sesame oil and seaweed to put into our fried rice to make it more bokkeum-bap!! She came back with a bottle of sesame oil and mixed it in for us. The only downsides: They put a piece of parchment paper over the grill which kind of absorbs all the juice. The selection of meat is very limited as well. For 2 people not including our alcohol, it came to about $75 for AYCE. Not too bad considering it's the only other kbbq place in town. Will definitely be regulars!

We arrived right before other people filled up the place so it was a little busy. I'm surprised at how much space and seating they have. At first I just saw 4 person tables but they led us to the other area where they had large tables for bigger parties. We had 9 people in our party and they seated us immediately. My boyfriend and I split the Bulgogi Fries and the Padak (Soy Garlic) Korean Fried Chicken. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. After one bite of the Bulgogi Fries, it was an immediate 10/10. The fries were crispy and had the perfect golden crisp + soft inside ratio. And don't even get me started with the sauce on top. The white sauce was light, and had the perfect combination of slightly sweet and savory. It was a wonderful aioli. And the veggies added were so good. The tomatoes and scallions added a nice freshness and slight acidity to the overall dish. Lastly the bulgogi was just *chef's kiss*. I don't really know how else to explain it other than the Bulgogi Fries were a well-balanced dish. We were scooping every single missed vegetable in the sauce after we demolished the fries. The Padak (Soy Garlic) fried chicken was so tasty. Whenever I get wings, my go-to is pretty much anything soy garlic, or anything included garlic. The fried chicken skin was the best part. Great texture, crunchy, crispy, wonderful flavor. It was a great blend of savory, umami, and garlic. And the green onions on top was a great addition. Portion size for both things we ordered was perfect for the two of us. Also, don't even get me started on the banchans. Great kimchi, radish kimchi was so refreshing, and that mashed potato side? Terrific. We asked for more banchan when we were done. Lastly, we came back the very next day to try the desserts. At first, I wanted to pick one dessert to share between me and my boyfriend but it was so difficult to choose one. So we got both lol. We ordered the Injeolmie Waffle, Honey Butter Bread, and tried some of my cousin's Strawberry Bingsu. The Injeolmi Waffle itself was delicious, sweet but not too sweet. The ice cream added that sweetness and the almonds on top were nice. And the Honey Butter Bread? Wow. The milk bread and the fresh whipped cream were fluffy, light, and not too sweet. I would go back again in a heartbeat. If I was in the neighborhood, I would be a regular. And when I give a place 5 stars, 5 stars to me means: take my money and I might dangerously spend too much of my paycheck here. Which is what I did, but no regrets. All the food was as expected and I can't really complain about anything. The bulgogi was cooked to perfection, the mandu was crispy and soft as a fried dumpling should be. The portions are large and is just the right amount for a meal if you eat like me, or a meal and some leftovers if you eat less. I wasn't in a rush and enjoyed my meal, they checked how I was doing a few times but never felt pushy. Super friendly and very prompt service. I'd try some other things next time I went. Go with a small group of 4 and try a few different dishes that you can share is my advice.

My order was ready within the time frame given by the restaurant. The lady who helped me greeted me immediately when I walked into the restaurant, and was quick to assist me. The Sweet Soy Chicken Bites had a light, crisp batter and the sauce was tasty and not too thick. The Cheese Corn dog was huge and had the perfect cheese to batter ratio. I recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Korean street food.

It is a fast food joint, so don't expect much for atmosphere or comfortablity. And the chick behind the counter wasn't really helpful or friendly. She reminded me of someone that is disgruntled in life and needs to be doing something else. That being said, food was great. Nice selection of street food. We grabbed a selection of things - ramen, bulgogi bibimbab, sausage mozza corn dog, sweet butter fries, tuna mayo kimbab, and garlic soy chicken bites as well as two bubble teas. Food came out extemely fast. It was hot and tasted fresh. My family enjoyed their ramen. I really liked the bulgogi bibimbab. Good portion size, and a good ratio of meat to veggies. Beef was well seasoned. my kid had the spicy pork cutlet ramen and I sampled the broth. It was really spicy and delicous. Chicken bites were good but not outstandish. Birthday kid wolfed down the fries and corn dog. If you like these things, you really need to come here. The Kimbab was fresh but I was hoping for a bit more flavours in it. The bubble tea was fine but a bit sweet for my liking. However, if you need a quick bite to eat and are in the area, choose this over any fast food establishment. About the same in price point, and way better flavours and freshness. This would also make a good take out for a picnic.
