The Gables needed a rooftop and a place to hangout. I've been a few times already and the drinks are good and it has a good ambiance for a night out with friends. Not sure what nights it is but they had a live band on Friday night once. The food is pretty good. The croqueta appetizer is awesome and it's dipped in a sauce that Miami locals will love. Even for a vegetarian the mushroom oysters dish is tasty as well. The signature cocktails are good and have funny names. I mainly stick to red wine but my friends loved the cocktails. I love the gables so I'm glad they opened this gem. read more

She was busy and happy hour had ended like 1 minute when we asked for another drink . She spoke to her manager and got us another round on the happy hour special. The oysters were delicious. The fried chicken is a definitely must have. As well as the corn ribs. Croquetta's and the rigatoni was good as well . Just beware when eating the oysters. My sister might of gotten a bad oyster less than an hour after leaving the restaurant my sister felt dizzy and starting throwing up .. ended up at the ER with bad food poisoning . read more

Of course when I heard of a rooftop restaurant opening in Coral Gables I was ecstatic! The first time I went I had a quick drink and appetizer before heading somewhere else. The names of the cocktails are so funny! I had the "Every Belen Guys Christmas Vacation". If you're from Miami you know that's on point. Second time to the restaurant I was able to try more items on the menu (pictured below). The only picture I didn't take was of the croqueta fundido. By the time I thought about taking a picture it was devoured!! Definitely a great spot to check out on Giralda in Coral Gables. read more

What can I say... I love cebada rooftop Great ambiance food and drinks... I've been here numerous times and it never disappoints. Some of my favorite items are the corn ribs, cróquets fundido, charred octopus & rabo encendido. I'm so glad that me and my husband decided to come in to the rooftop again because this experience definitely made up for our last experience. We decided to sit at a table this time around and the food was absolutely amazing. We had corn ribs, Jamon Croquetas, delicious pumpkin bread pudding and a few drinks of course! I came here for a birthday dinner (2nd time here) and had a great time. You take an elevator to go up to the restaurant on the second floor. The ambience is very relaxing, trendy, and doesn't feel like you're in the fast moving city of Miami. Our waitress was really sweet and quick on her feet, she helped my girlfriend and I pick drinks. I had the old cuban and seniors stories (big rum guy). I liked the seniors stories a bit more, it had a dash of cinnamon which was great. My girlfriend had the peach please, which she described as peach paradise. We had the croquetas and 18oz pork chop. I asked what the pork chop came with but was informed it comes alone. It is a lot of meat and is delicious, I thought it was going to be hard to put down by its self but it had sauce on the bottom and red cabbage agrodolce which complimented it pretty well. I love to eat meat with some sort of side like rice for example but it was pretty delicious the way it came. The croquetas were great as well, they came in little balls with guava on the bottom. Went to have dinner with my wife in the Gables and looked for a roof top bar to go have drinks after. This is my review on Cebada. We were greeted by the hostess and we sat down by the rail looking over to Giralda. It was a nice view to people watch. The hostess was very courteous and professional. Once we sat down we waited a while for a server to come take our order. When the server finally came he seemed overwhelmed by the amount of customers he had to attend. We ordered two "Old Fashioned" once the drinks came out the were not that good, maybe we should have gotten one of there signature cocktails instead. The crowd was good, but the music was definitely not for the environment it was to EDM (mainstream) would recommend some lounge house or something more toned down for the vibe. If you are not a cigar smoker or don't like the smell of cigar this is definitely not a spot for you. The table behind us had like 6 gentleman all smoking cigars and it was a bit overwhelming. The place is nice with a great view, we left early only after one drink because of the music and the cigar being too much. Hopefully we can return and have a better time, and try their food. read more

This place should have nothing less than 5 stars. From the service, food & ambiance, it was spectacular. Started off with the croquetas de jamón that were fantastic. The name of the drinks are very clever and didn't disappoint. Ordered 'relax it only tingles' a spicy tequila drink of which I had 3. Both pastas were delicious, the truffle pasta was my favorite. Our server Roxy was on point and provided good recommendations as well as diligent service. Rooftop had great music that wasn't too overwhelming and the bar was packed. came here for my boyfriends birthday bc we wanted a rooftop view. Please have in mind that this is a rooftop on a second floor (not a great view). I loved the names of the drinks! they were all really clever. I tried the Show me the mula and the Peach please. The peach please tasted more fruity while the show me the mula had a strong ginger taste. We had serrano ham croquettes and ceviche for appetizers. Totally recommend the ceviche, I didn't like the croquettes that much. They were just alright. For our entrees we had the pork and the steak. The pork was really good and tasty and the steak was alright. Our server was really nice and helpful, he had lots of recommendations for us and was always making sure we weren't missing anything. Overall the food was nothing out of this world. I'd come back to get drinks with friends but not for dinner. I also found it on the expensive side. read more

I had not seen my coworkers in about 2 years and we were standing catching up when 2 employees walked over and told us that we couldn't be standing until after 10 pm. I found the managerial staff to be insulting.. I would not recommend this place. There are plenty of nicer places to go in Coral Gables, and be treated with respect & decency. This place does not appreciate it's patrons. It's hard to get to the rooftop, it takes a long time. The elevator isn't always working. I found last night it's just not worth the trip. The last couple times I tried to go there, I made the long trip up to the rooftop and found it was closed both times. You can't plan on this place being open for business, Because they will close on a whim. You are better off to plan on going elsewhere. read more

The vibe in this place is great; and the drinks were good. The manager was also very accommodating. I couldn't give it a better score, though, because of the service. Our server was kind, but when we placed orders it took waaaaaay too long for us to receive it. At the end of the night, we asked for the bill before waiting longer to get our last round of drinks, but they were still on the bill. In order to not delay, I just ended up paying for them anyways. We ordered our favorite the corvina bbq that we had on Thursday and unfortunately we were misunderstood and they thought we wanted the corvina ceviche and after an hour wait we asked Mark where was our corvina bbq and he said they don't have it. As kind as he was we were extremely disappointed to find out it was not available but it was still on the menu. I ask the owner to adjust his menu. Hence the one star. Absolutely stellar experience from top to bottom! The Corn Ribs appetizer was on point. Cobs are sliced into quarters and grilled, curling up and looking like ribs. They were tangy and buttery, and taste similar to elote. The cauliflower was phenomenal, the best I've EVER eaten. Seriously, we ended up ordering them three separate times throughout our meal! The stone crab claws were awesome, as was the side salad, with a very cheesy and creamy dressing. For my entree, I got the Jumbo Prawns, and daaaaaaaaaaamn they were great! Humongous and perfectly cooked. My friend got the gnocchi, and said they were amazing. I can't comment more on them, because he wouldn't share! Another friend got the steak. It was tender, juicy and tasted heavenly. For dessert, we split the donut balls, which were crispy, chewy, pillowy, and the perfect way to end the meal. Lastly, I need to mention the Espresso Martini. It was perfectly balanced, and one of the best mixed cocktails I've ever had.
