Comfy place but not for me or people who want acrylics. It's been a week since I got my Nails done and they are already separating at the top and pulling my hair when I run my hands through it. Very disappointed as this shouldn't be happening after only one week of having them. They are also not all the same length some are shorter than others, some are looking a tad tipsy while others are straight. Not worth the time or money. I also didn't get the massage they give everyone since I guess my lady didn't feel like giving it to me. So I walked out of the salon very un-satisfied. read more

I want to love this place for their long lasting mani/pedis, but I've noticed that they reuse sanding blocks and files between clients. Take a look before they start to file to be sure it is clean. Also, on my last visit - Holly told me that the regular mani/pedi special had been increased in price to $35 from $30. I questioned her and she persisted. I found out later that day that the price was still $30. Can't tolerate this- won't be back. read more

I have been coming to CC nails for years! There are much closer nail salons to my house but I always come to this one. Lisa is amazing. I always make a reservation with her when possible. Especially for the deluxe pedicure, she really takes care of everything and It is worth the extra $5. I come here often for shellac mani/pedi, but have also just had regular polish as well as Dip. They do not listen, and end up just doing whatever they want. They also kept pushing me to do shellac after I already told them 3 times I just wanted regular polish. I had a great experience today, my first at CC Nails. After a frustrating hunt for a good place open on Sunday I rolled in pretty forlorn and with low expectations. The man at the desk said that it was no problem to get me in and sent me straight to pick the color with their organized system. HUGE color selection. Mai did my dip with a shellac french tip in blue. The shape was perfect, she was very meticulous but not too slow, and they came out beautiful! Also very reasonably priced: it was $50 for dip removal, 2 acrylic tips, full dip and shellac design. Mai was so sweet and did a great job, I will definitely be back! read more

One thing I have learned in getting my nails done is to avoid the older technicians, especially those wearing reading glasses. It always results in bloody cuticles! My last trip here 2 weeks ago resulted in a scab on my cuticle lasting 10 days. Overall, I like this place. It's convenient to get to from work for me. The service is usually quick. I enjoy the hot stone leg massages though if you upgrade to the deluxe pedicure, you get this salt scrub stuff that feels like they are pulling off all the skin on my legs. Also, the callous remover leaves my feet peeling so I skip that too. The shoulder massage is nice. My pedicures here typically last 4 weeks and my manicures 2-3 weeks with the gel. I wish the technicians spoke English better and they had a policy where they weren't allowed to speak Vietnamese. It always feels like they are talking about you, which I am sure they are. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in Houston!! Better than some of the most expensive spas in town. The service is incredible and the price is extremely reasonable. The staff is so hard working and kind. I am never disappointed. Lisa is by far the hardest working and thoughtful person there. She gives the best pedicures! The nail salon looks great, is always busy, but they'll make an effort to fit walk-ins in ASAP. I was a walk-in (I called ahead but they told me not to bother booking as I didn't have a preference on technician, being a first timer) and had about a 10 min wait. I was handed a basket with their Shellac, OPI gel, etc colours, and WOW, do they have a large selection. Well, at least it seems they do. I selected my colour, and was then told it wasn't in stock. So I went to my backup colour. My technician, who was actually the assistant manager, started on my nails and when it came to applying to colour, there were random, tiny little balls in it! Not what I wanted, so on to my backup backup colour! Also, a new technician... now the manager (I'm getting the exec treatment, apparently). Despite the colour changes and the managers pretending to be nail technicians, the final product looked good. However, after a few days my skin started to strip. This is common with Houston nail salons; they often cut the cuticles too low. Despite this, the colour lasted and lasted, and 3 weeks later I was actually able to peel it off myself (a plus in my book, but probably not for everyone) and my nails underneath looked healthy. I'll definitely go back because it's about 2 mins walk from my apartment and nicer than Leon's nails. But next time I'll hold out for an actual technican and ask them to just push back my cuticles. read more

I have been loyal to this salon for over 2 years now. The salon had changed owners since I stared getting my mani/pedis here. I have to say the owners are great, super friendly and always remember my name. The salon is very clean, they have a great selection of shellac colors (the most I have seen at a salon in Houston) and basic polish colors. They also offer the cnd vynalux which is a 2week polish. I hate to give away my secret but I always use Mary and Rose. They are both outstanding. My shellac always lasts 2 weeks +. They really take their time making sure everything looks perfect. I have never had acrylic or powder nails so I can not give any comments on that service. I highly recommend C and C Nails. read more

THE BEST MANICURE I've ever gotten. I'm a nail freak and I normally do my own gel shellac mani and pedi's at home because I tend to do a better job than most places (and it saves $$). But I was visiting Houston and in desperate need of a manicure so I took a shot at CC nails. My nail technician was Mary and I cannot stress enough how great my nails turned out! She took her time and thoroughly made sure they looked PERFECT. It was 25$ for my gel shellac mani, and I even got a shoulder massage at the end! Highly recommend. P.S. Their color selection was outrageous and they had a ton of "perfect match" colors so you can get gel for your nails, and then the same color of regular polish on your toes. Trying to get a pedicure turned out to be a horrific experience! The water was cold so I requested a little warm water for my feet. The technician May said they did not have running warm water and she went to bring hot water in a bowl. She poured the hot scalding water on my feet while they were soaking. I let out scream out of sheer pain. I continued screaming in pain and I was given some aloe. I asked to talk to the manager since the techs said they did not see any burn marks. Long story short - when the manager did talk to me in the phone he said the tech May told him she did not pour hot water on my feet and that he had checked the camera. He proceeded to offer me a free pedicure. I gasped and asked him how he ever expected me to come back to the salon let alone have any of his techs touch me! A picture speaks a thousand words. This is my first time coming to CC Nails and so far im impressed. I came in for a pedicure and didn't have to wait to be seated. I was in a chair within 3 minutes. Their basic pedi is $25 and it includes hot rocks. Other places I've been charge $30+ for pedis with a hot rock massage. The spa chairs are nice and lighting is amazing (crystal chandeliers). They used to be really great, but not so much anymore. My nails usually chip after a week and I get shellac. This past weekend I came and got a Deluxe pedicure and manicure and they're supposed to do a 5 min neck massage and the lady who did my nails only did it for about 30 seconds. They usually ask if you want additional time (for an extra charge of course) and she didn't ask. As it was she seemed annoyed at everything. She asked if I wanted my nails to match my toes and I said I wasn't sure and that I'd like to see the shellac color options and she rolled her eyes. She left my nails full of oil and I had to ask her to wipe it off. It wouldn't have bothered me so much except I'm a single mom and it took a lot of work for me to find time to come and get a mani/pedi. I've been pretty disappointed in them for a while, but this last visit was probably the last one for me. read more

The skill set is a little lack luster for the neighborhood...I've gone several times trying to give them a chance and try different technicians, each time I go I'm disappointed in how my nails turn out and the lack of customer service. Horrible service! No exaggeration! Never had service like this. 1st time getting a manicure in a while decided to come here with my best friend that's a return customer. 1. The nail tech that started on my feet quickly assumed I didn't have enough money and started questioning if I was sure about what I chose. 2. Her and the other nail tech that was just sitting at some table not doing anything starting very rudely laughing at my feet. She rushed and didn't even put lotion on my feet. Hands down, the best in town. I've been coming here for years and I drive over from Downtown and Galleria area against traffic to see Kathy and Tran + Vy's Team! Anyone that has spoken ill of CC's should reevaluate their standards. This is the cleanest, most inviting, chicest, best place in the loop. The Owners work open-close and it shows. Not only did the ladies rush through my mani pedi, my toes were two different shades of red and she had no intention of fixing it. Everytime I come I get the same exact manicure and its 55$. Today however I had MICHELLE do my nails and try to charge me 80$. There was a 10$ charge for taking my old nails off (which I understand even though she forgot to refill the acetone and took a FULL HOUR to get my nails off before even starting on my manicure) but they couldn't decide whether the other 15$ was because of my length or nail shape (neither of which have I ever been charged extra for). After going back and forth purposefully in a language I couldn't understand they settled on 75$ which I regrettably paid and left. Dropped into C C Nails for a mani/pedi as they're within walking distance from my place and would love that convenience. I think overall they're a solid 3.5, but since that option isn't available and I have a couple reservations, we'll go 3. Facility is lovely as it just opened up. Great new spa pedi chairs with some manner of newfangled computer screen to get the massage going, adjust the seat... I'm sure it did other things, but that's as far as I got. I have to say the color selection wasn't huge so I waffled quite a bit before picking a color I probably never would have but for lack of options. Mani/pedi started, and I could tell that the technician doing the pedi knew her stuff (Marilyn), but the first girl who started the mani was a bit clueless (I never caught her name). I asked her to make my nails very short and very round and when I looked down they were still a bit too long and square-ish. However, I noticed they offered Shellac, and asked about that, so a different technician had to take over. Kathy (I hope I'm remembering that correctly) is the only one in the place who does Shellac, so be prepared to wait if you want to try it. When Kathy took over, I immediately asked her if she could make my nails very round and she did an excellent job. The Shellac and my pedi were done very painstakingly precise, and I really appreciated the perfection. Color was on all of the nail, no gaps by the nail beds, etc. Three days later, my fingers look spectacular and usually by now with normal polish, they'd be chipping like crazy. A nice bonus is that they do a hot stone massage with the pedi for no extra cost. I will probably be back. Not sure I'd want to chance going with two random techs given the initial mani experience, but I'd definitely call and schedule an appointment with Marilyn and Kathy. read more

Update: gave this place a second chance. Went in for JUST a shellac manicure - at the end of it I noticed a dent in my thumb nail. When I pointed this out, I was told that "that's just my nail bed". It is clearly not my nail bed and was an obvious mistake that should have been immediately rectified. Picture attached for reference.
