My experience here was flawless. The staff was incredible and friendly. They went above and beyond and made sure we were taken care of. I ended up going with the greens and grains with chicken. When you have an opened face kitchen where people can see your food production and prep lines it is critical to be abundantly clean and sanitary. The grill station is a key area where cutting boards should be different colors for different proteins. And even then wiped and sanitized continuously after each use. Tonight while in line I watched an already heavily used cutting board with no cleaning attempts be used multiple ongoing times for different products. While the small restaurant dining area was clean, I just cant order food in that environment. Shame as I scored Cava a 5 star on previous visit. read more

After recommendation from a colleague and tried their food, decided to drop by for another delicious bowl. It is located in the Stone Ridge plaza with plenty of outdoor parking that's shared with all other shops. Ordered the Steak and Harissa bowl. Minus a few of the rice grains being too hard, the rest of the bowl was healthy and tasty. Avocado was fresh and well prepared. The fresh vegetables and salad mixed good with the well done steak slices. Can't get better with these types of healthy food! The environment is quite lively and the seating arrangements are open. Great for hanging out with a few friends but definitely not for private conversations. I'd especially like to recommend Charis, who was extremely accommodating, friendly and understanding. She immediately remade my bowl after knowing I did not eat spicy and a spicy sauce was already added to the bowl. What an amazing attitude! Walked thru step by step and didn't feel at all rushed to make a selection, from toppings to dips. I have a small stomach y'all and the kids pita meal was an ideal choice for my lunch today. Soft pita bread with a nice red pepper hummus spread and, oh my goodness, great portion of protein! The basmati rice was my favorite today, so much great aromatics & flavor. Skhug is plenty spicy but boy if you need to kick it up a notch, pour it onto that spicy chicken and you are golden. Love the beverage options and felt like a little kid trying every tea available! I have been eating at cava for years now. I decided to dine I at this location. The portions were very small from what I'm used to from cava. The meat was literally measured with a little condiment cup before being placed in my bowl. I added an order of pita chips, and when I bit into them, they were cold and hard. I brought this to the attention of the manager, and he literally told me it's because they have been sitting out because no one has purchased them. When I asked for fresh ones he stated "I will make you fresh ones this time, but I can't guarantee fresh ones next time." I'm shocked. I will never come to this location again read more

review based only on concept of "digital cafe"... thought i'd give you the lay of the land so to speak if you had wondered about it as well. this is for the 281/hollywood park location SPECIFICALLY. i have been to a CAVA before & enjoyed the food & experience. i liked going down the line to see what veggies, grains, proteins & toppings appealed to me that day to fill my bowl. the digi cafe version of CAVA is not that. i walked in and realized that quickly. kitchen is aways in the back, order shelf up front. 2 long rows of high top tables with high stools & 1 low counter with 3 chairs (which were occupied) there is a sign telling you what to do. download app or use QR code to use app to place your order, then sit & wait for it to hit the shelf. i sat down and did this, looked at the menu while wishing my short self wasnt so short that my feet werent dangling while sitting on the uncomfortable round metal stool - with no foot rails. i also looked at the large open area and longingly wished for a few tables & chairs instead of wasted "dance floor". i did note nice patio outdoors, but it felt like 100 degrees outside with the bright sun beating down. i realized drinks were behind the wall, so if i wanted a refill or needed something i'd have to shout to the back. i'd also have to eat my meal on a hard metal seat with my feet dangling. so i left, realizing the digi cafe experience wasnt for me. seems like a lot of wasted space for a spot geared to mainly order ahead & take away. but may be just the thing if you are looking for a healthy takeaway option in the area. read more

My kids love it. I am not a big fan. We get at this location as it is the closest. If one of the ingredients from a bowl is out, they won't tell you until you are at the point of no return. They already added the other ingredients to the bowl and it would be cruel to tell them that you longer want it as one go the ingredients is no longer available. Happened twice already. If we are considerate like that, I believe they should at least attempt to let us know. Yet, kids insist the bowls are good. That's the only reason we get it. We always get a take out. read more

So happy that I finally tried this place! It is absolutely delish! The line moved very slow and I was getting hangry. Like really hangry. It did however, give me lots of time to question myself about which item I wanted. I kept going back and forth and ending up getting the spicy chicken and avocado pita. It was freaking amazing. I loaded it up with all of the extra vegetables and it honestly was the perfect meal. So so so flavorful! I also ordered the pita chips with the crazy feta dip. DO NOT miss out on those chips! Or that dip! OMG!!! Even if you usually just have water like I do, order the fountain drink and taste all of the juice mixes! They're all so good and not too sweet. My favorite was mixing the pineapple, apple, mint one with the cucumber, mint drink. Incredibly delicious. Customer service was excellent and portions were insanely huge. I am so happy they open a cava near me. I seriously go to this location ALL the time. I experience nothing but great customer service each time. I did have one time the guy messed up my order but guess what mistakes happen it's ok. Other than that it's my favorite place. The veggies are always fresh and the meats all seasoned great. My order is a Greek Salad Bowl, extra hummus and cucumbers, add basmati rice, and no cheese or olives. Perfection. I appreciated that they have standard bowls but are will to adapt them to your needs and wants. As with anything healthy, it's not the cheapest. But it's filling, healthy for your body, and delicious. It's quiet, clean and the staff is friendly. I have personal issue with being asked by the computer to tip someone working in fast food, but I don't hold it against me the workers or the individual restaurant. Today when I went and I placed my order, I was told I could not substitute what I have substituted at every Cava I have been to in the last 2+ years. Finally, the person making my order ask someone else and they said I'll let you do it this time but you can't do that again. What I was substituting is on a kids meal, not getting the pita and having double chips instead. Throughout the whole time, the person serving my meal You could just feel the attitude coming from him. He basically threw my meal together and was annoyed that they were letting me swap out my pita bread for double chips. This location has never really had good customer service. Efficient. Clean. However, the second time was the opposite. Slow service and seemed put-off by any customer request. We noticed this with everyone in front of us, too., and we went during an off peak time. Things also did not seem as clean. Everything seemed disheveled. I just spent 18 dollars on my food and the lady that was working gave me such a little portion it is nothing like the photos advertised online and it's very frustrating because it's not cheap. I really like Cava. This location is not it. It's a very nice spot and close to my house more than the others but I ordered online and it said it would be ready at 1pm. I got there at 1:08 pm and i waited until 1:15 pm to get my food. No problem, i understand they are busy. But when i got to my car, my falafels were cold and it just seems like they don't fill up on other veggies because i had a bunch of greens and a little sauce? I was really disappointed. I didn't have more time to go back in and wait. The other locations near by are better at building your food. I also recommend ordering at the store if you can. Seems like when you watch your order being built instead of ordering online, you can actually get a better portion or at least the portion that you paid for in the first place. read more

The food overall is fine but the service is always lacking. I know to add 10 minutes to my pickup time because it is never ready on time even when the restaurant is empty. Tonight I placed a pick up order, there were 3 people in the front working, no one in line. They said they made it but there was nothing on the pick up shelf and they went back to clearing the stacked up dishes all over the counters.. A customer walked in and they proceeded to go help them instead of helping me with my missing order. I hadn't had cava in a while and was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. Service was extremely slow and the food area was very messy but it's a sunday afternoon... let's cut the some slack. As i'm in line, i'm watching the person in the back make the online orders. She takes her hand that is still gloved and wipes her nose over the food area with the customers bowl in her other hand then continues to make the order. I also noticed that nobody washed their hands before replacing gloves... just touching everything then grabbing new gloves with dirty hands which kinda defeats the purpose. Placed an order for pick up, 2 kids meals and 1 bowl. When I arrived to pick up at scheduled time it wasn't ready and I ended up waiting 30 mins past that time. They tried to hand me only the kids meals, no drinks, no bowl. There were only 3 employees, the man cooking was burning the food and even started a fire on the stove that another employee had to put out and then take food outside to dump it. The whole store smelled terrible. The poor girl trying to fill orders had an arm full of stickers (orders) and was completely overwhelmed. They ignored the customers waiting, didn't apologize for the long waits. I saw 3 people just walk out after waiting so long to be waited on. Once she finally filled my order, she let me know there was no pita chips or lentils. They had not filled the tea or lemonade containers either. This was at 11:15am on a Monday.
