Greens and grains bowl, with a side of Greek vinaigrette and skhug, and a lemonade
Christine A.

I popped in to grab dinner after shopping, and the service was very quick and attentive! It appeared clean when I went in and looked like every other CAVA. I got my usual order, and I can say this location did not disappoint! Everything tasted fresh and delicious; I was very happy with my food. The man taking my order was so kind, he allowed customers who hadn't yet tried the drinks to get one for free! I got the lemonade and it was so good! The lemonade was refreshing, not too sweet, and kinda tart. The drinks can be mixed as well, so next time I'm gonna try something different! I still think about that lemonade sometimes. This a great location, the ingredients are fresh and the staff is so kind!! Also, I just love CAVA, so I'm definitely gonna be coming back!

Very tasty and good spot to get a quick healthy bite. This location I felt like I was getting the chipotle treatment (small scoops lol) so I kept having to ask for a little more. They are a very busy location but moved the line quickly and everything was fresh.

Spicy lamb avocado

Came here on a Sunday for lunch. There was a steady line of people ordering food. It was my 1st time and I got the spicy lamb and avocado. I switched out the rice instead of lentils. The food look fresh and tasty. Will come back again and they offer military discount.

I love how much you can customize their bowls. There is something for vegans, vegetarians, and the carnivores! If you are keto, or paleo, or gluten free, there is an option here for you. The service is quick, even with it being a pretty busy lunch spot. It's always clean and uncluttered inside. The signature drinks are delicious and so is the food. You can pack in the nutrition for a low price! The portions are huge!

We've dined in and ordered to-go from this location a few times. Each time was quick and the food was prepared as requested. I like that you can build your own bowl! My favorite combination so far is a bowl with half spinach and half romaine as the base, traditional hummus, tzatziki, and roasted eggplant dip, grilled chicken, roasted corn, persian cucumbers, and balsamic date vinaigrette. I also like getting an order of pita chips and getting some garlic sauce to dip them in. They are seriously addictive! My husband's favorite bowl is half splendid greens, half basmatic rice, red pepper and traditional hummus, grilled chicken, roasted vegetables (double protein), cabbage, olives, romaine lettuce, and hot harissa vinaigrette and lemon herb tahini sauce on top. Check it out for a delicious, fresh, and customizable experience!

This place caught attention since they took Zoe's Kitchen and put CAVA now. Honestly it was really good. I love that they have a build your own bowl but also some already built. The ingredients were tasty, I got a few of all so it was very flavorful. The portioning was pretty good too, I wasn't able to finish it and will be taking it home for later tonight. Payed like $12 for it which is very reasonable for a bowl. The place was clean and the staff was super nice too. They gave me some pita bread and hummus on the house! Definitely give it a try.

Outside of Cava

I have visited a number of locations for Cava and generally have a good experience. I think it's nice that they offer suggestions of bowls you can put together but also allow you to customize your bowl/ pita like Chipotle. I love that you can customize your bowl to be as filling and healthy (or unhealthy) as you want. Every time I've gone, I always order the same thing... a build your own lamb bowl. The ingredients are always fresh and the lamb seems to always be cooked perfectly. Plus, lamb is not a protein source I often find at restaurants so it's a nice change of pace. The only thing with this location is that it can become very crowded and have long wait times (a problem with many good business) and the staff can be friendly/ very unfriendly depending on the day. Some of the employees are very happy to help and make you feel welcome while others act like every ingredient is a huge ask and you're bothering them. Overall, this place is worth a visit and definitely a place I'll be returning to!

Date balsamic chicken bowl
Stacy V.

Cava is a decent place with bowls and pitas you can personalize to suit your palate. Today I tried the date balsamic chicken bowl and it was tasty! Just wish the server would've remembered to ask me about the dressing as it was a bit much but still good nonetheless. I love that you can go completely custom too instead of choosing a preselected menu item. There's lots of indoor and patio seating and the opportunity to order ahead and have it waiting when you arrive. They also have a nice selection of juices and offer a discount for first responders/military!

No rice
Liliana A.

First time ordering from this restaurant with uber eats , instructions were not followed my bowl has no rice , no pita bread , and pita wrap was completely done incorrectly. Never again will spend all this money for this mediocre service.

There was a dead fly in my bowl

I love going here, it's my one treat of the week especially since I live in Boerne so it's a drive from there back. I got home and am actually so grossed out and sad that I have to throw away my whole bowl now

Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. We began with waters for the table, soft drinks, and cocktails/mocktails (Man Walks into a Bar, Amba No. 5, Don Alberto, Green Shug Collins). Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Our server, Anissa, did a wonderful job of explaining each dish-- its components, highlights, even suggesting that after finishing the beef dumplings, we stir the oil and yogurt together for an amazing pita dipping sauce. Our meal included four meats-- actually five, considering an off menu chef's creation for our pescatarian guest. It was such an immersive experience, I never took out my phone to capture photos of the food (or our group, sadly). Three desserts topped off the evening. When (not if) we return, we'll certainly request Anissa again. She made the evening a complete delight, even bringing out celebratory candles for our honored guests.

Finally made it to Ladino. The food was good overall and the flavors were solid across everything…read morewe tried. The hummus with the fresh pita was probably my favorite part of the meal, and the grilled skewers had a really nice char without being dry. The Turkish coffee was also strong and really good. Service was quick and servers paid attention to detail. Great place for date night or hanging out with friends. Plenty of great food options to choose from. Glad I tried it because the quality was amazing!

New Name is Selda Mediterranean Kitchen. But they're still every bit as amazing. Sooo goood!…read more We ate family style and tried a ton of dishes. They nailed every one! We left quite stuffed and extremely satisfied. It was a nice day so we ate outside but the interior was very pleasant and was filled with diners even at 2 pm. Everything here is fresh, perfectly seasoned, healthy and oh-so-tastey. This place was recommended to me by a fellow foodie and Yelper, and we're very grateful for the recommendation. This was the perfect birthday lunch for me.

I came to this new spot (3 months open) on Sunday to check out the new kids, and I am so glad I…read moredid. Upon entry, my guest and I were greeted promptly and invited to sit anywhere we liked. My guest and I immediately noticed the traditional Turkish aromatics that filled the establishment. The waitress who tended to our table was engaging and explained the menu in depth as well as vouched for the food's authenticity. As my guest and I wanted to try multiple menu items, we elected to order the dishes that offered an array of food. Appetizer: Cold Platter This dish included hummus, babaganoush, dolma, ezme, and piyaz. The plater was properly "stacked" with the flavors of the app. going from "punchy" to mild. The piyaz was a perfectly balanced white bean salad packed with Mediterranean flavors. This combination of white beans, tomatoes, onions, and parsley was simple and yet deliciously satisfying! The dolma on this dish was a perfect combination of filling vegetables, grape seeds, Rumex, hornbeam, and quince leaves, with a kick of lemon. The babaganoush was light and refreshing. The simple combination of roasted eggplant, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt is something that is not to be missed if you are looking for a vitamin packed dip. The Ezme "mashed" was made mainly with tomatoes, cucumber, and olive oil and packed a little punch, which most likely was accredited to the peppers. Main: Hot Mixed Platter This dish included meatballs, chicken, beef, and lamb (doner) atop veggies and rice. All the meats on the plate were seasoned to perfection and tender. My guest and I ate the meats so quickly that I am not able to appropriately describe the flavors other than with the a word, "delectable". Dessert: Dessert Platter This platter had a sampling of Tiramisu, čupavci, KÜnefe, and Baklava. Although the čupavci and KÜnefe looked great, I couldn't eat them as they both are made with coconuts (to which I am allergic). I actually took a bite of the KÜnefe before I realized that it had coconut shavings in it. With this dessert, the cheese is arranged between two layers of Kadayıf (shredded phyllo), cooked until golden, and soaked in a sweet syrup. The čupavci (sponge cake) was soaked in chocolate sauce, then dipped in unsweetened, shredded coconut. Fun fact: Čupavci means "furry" because of the fuzzy surface the coconut provides, which I learned when I visited Turkey many years ago. Java Folks who read my reviews know that I am a java junkie. So, of course, I requested the Turkish coffee. Turkish coffee is prepared with more water than its Italian counterparts and is meant to be sipped rather than drunk quickly like a shot. There is also a tradition of reading the grinds at the bottom of the cup to tell fortunes, known as tasseography. Turkish coffee cups are small, similar to the size of an espresso cup, but with a rich history of their own. This coffee is prepared traditionally and provided a much needed pick me up. This family restaurant has authentic quality food and the highest level of service. If in the area, this locally owned spot is worth a try. Total for the meal before tip $89.00 #supportlocal

Tripoli's - Chickpea salad with gyro

Some restaurants feed you. Tripoli's transports you. From…read morethe moment you walk in, the space does something to you -- warm lighting, tufted banquettes, burgundy velvet chairs with gold legs, and a ceiling panel with intricate geometric lattice work straight out of a Moroccan riad. It doesn't feel like a strip mall restaurant. It feels intentional. The pastry case alone deserves its own review. Piped butter cookies, rose-dotted squares dusted with cardamom, delicate filled rolls -- it's the kind of display that makes you order dessert before you've even sat down. And then the food. The chicken shawarma bowl is not playing around -- seasoned chicken, kalamata olives, crumbled feta, creamy garlic sauce over a bed of greens, finished with cracked pepper. Every bite is layered and bold. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid-fork and just appreciate it. What sets Tripoli's apart isn't just the food or the ambiance. It's that the whole experience feels curated. Like someone who actually loves this culture built this place and meant every single detail. San Antonio has been sleeping on this gem. Wake up!!

I had a hard time walking out without calling for the manager or owner. I would like to start my…read morepost with the positive so here it goes. The ambiance was great, everything from the decorative rugs, Arab writing on the wall, tagine pottery and brass crafts were perfectly displayed. The tabbouleh salad was very tasty, it had the right amount of ingredients making it pretty as well as colorful placed in the neat brass metal bowl. Now with the things that require immediate remedial attention: 1. The burger was overrated, overcooked and dry. 2. The chick pea salad lacked chick peas, dressing, onions and feta cheese. 3. The lamb Kofta plate was prepared right however, it was not enough meat for the price and the cream sauce tasted like straight butter with a hint of garlic. The pita bread was lukewarm and looked like it had been unwrapped, quartered and thrown in a microwave for 30 seconds prior to serving it. 4. Drinks Ordered: The Cafe' Arabia was very tasty BUT, I didn't get it until we were almost done with our meal. We ordered drinks when we were first seated so that was a big red flag. My wife also ordered the Moroccan mint teapot and she didn't get it until after I got my coffee. I told the barista/waiter to cancel it when I got my coffee but he said it was also ready for us and could put it in a to-go cup for her. That kind of defeated the whole experience of drinking tea while waiting for our meal. 5. The service was really slow. Took over 15 minutes to get our (tap) waters and 20 minutes for our food when we were the only ones in the restaurant until we had placed our order. 6. The waitress needs some serious people skills and bussing training to know how to serve food and drinks. She touched the tops of the glasses her fingers. She didn't greet us and practically dropped the plates on the table when she brought them out. To add insult to injury, she put the handheld pay device on the table without asking us if we wanted or needed anything else. My kids wanted to try out some desserts, so luckily for us, the nearby HEB has plenty to offer. I had high hopes for this place because of what the owner posted on Instagram and it is so close to our neighborhood. Guess we will have to continue driving further into the city to other Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern restaurants that have better food and service.
