Overall the food was good. The portion is a little expensive for what you get when you choose multiple meats that have an up charge. They could give you more meat for the price. I paid $46 for two bowls, 2 drinks, and a side of pita chips. In my opinion, the grilled meats are better. I chose braised lamb and it was bland in my opinion but the lamb meatballs were packed with flavor. Because the place is so busy right now the tables were dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a while. I'm giving this location one star only because of the service for this specific night and location. Love CAVA and go all the time in the LA area. We had a group of 6 that came in an hour before closing and were treated as if it was 5mins till closing. Half the toppings and ingredients were either packed away already or they were "out". Another employee actually corrected one saying they weren't "out" until later. We had guests that had never been to a CAVA before and were visiting from out of the country, so explaining the menu and ordering was important to show them. The constant eyeing, snickering, and whispering from the employees especially towards our guests who didn't speak English made this whole experience really bad, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Thankfully about 4-5 other guests had came in and out throughout this hour we were there to really emphasize the fact they weren't closed and needed to have food available. I usually love CAVA, but this location really missed the mark during my recent visit. I placed an online order for two bowls--one veggie and one chicken--but both came with chicken. Both bowls were also missing the pita, even though it was included. One bowl was supposed to have dressing both in the bowl and on the side; only the dressing on the side was in the bag. I also checked that I wanted utensils, and none were included. When I called to speak with a manager, I spoke to someone named Lyric who said she was in charge. I explained the issues, and her response was, "we're all human and forget things." That kind of dismissive attitude was frustrating. After I said that wasn't the response I expected, she finally offered a refund, but the lack of accountability was already disappointing. To top it off, when I picked up my online order, I also ordered an additional bowl in-store. I saw the team member move a pita down the line while preparing the bowl. I also ordered Harissa pitas at the register. When I noticed the original pita wasn't included in the bag, I politely asked for it--and the employee responded with, "you have to ask next time." That comment came off as rude and unnecessary. If it was part of the order, it should have just been added. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Ok the line was super long and all the workers were pretty slow. The line was just getting longer and longer. When I walked in Bryon was cleaning tables but when he saw the line get longer he went to work at the assembly line. I've been here twice and each time was about 3 weeks from each other, but I've had a lot of attentive and great staff taking my orders. All I can say is that I went for dinner both times, but the service has been excellent and they have been very helpful with explanations and recommendations. The interior has a lot of room and is very clean, with plenty of space to sit down for a meal. My friend and I were ordering and built our own bowls with some very delicious greens, rice, chicken, and roasted egg plants. There are so many different ingredients and options that you can choose from, which makes each visit a different experience! Just went to Cava and it was the best experience. Theres usually a long line, but when I came in it was pretty empty but still busy with all the online orders that they had. I was still greeted by Matt when I entered and Briell attended to me fairly quickly once she completed the order she was working on. Worth your money! I ordered a build your own bowl with steak and lamb with loads of dippings, toppings, dressings. Placed order at 6:30pm via app for a 6:45pm pick up. Arrived at approximately 7:05pm. Order was not ready. Waited till 7:30pm, after multiple attempts of checking on the order. Now they are out of chicken and it will take another 15 minutes. Asked if they could just cancel the order. They refused telling us we'd need to contact cava online. Left the restaurant, 45 minutes after it was placed, without the purchase and submitted the dispute with their customer support for a full refund. We will see how that goes and if I'll need to file a dispute with my CC. They were turning people away that were in line at about 7:15pm for people that were placing in-person orders and mobile orders, that should've been ready before ours, were left to wait even after we left. They were arguing amongst their own team. Very disorganized and poor service. They should have the ability to stop orders was being placed online when they see they are unable to fulfill them. If they can't do that then we should be able to cancel our order in person if they can't complete the order in a reasonable time. A 45+ mins wait is a completely unreasonable time to have to wait for an order. Will not return to this cava. read more

However, there is always an inconsistency of portions and a lot of times the items are low; they're either scrapping the bottom or having to go behind them for more. Visited 4/18 at 8:30 PM. I keep coming back to this CAVA because the food is good, and it's convenient. Portions are fair for the price. But the service at this location is consistently disappointing and last night was just another example. About an hour and a half before closing, the line started to build. Instead of helping customers, most of the staff seemed focused on closing up early. They avoided eye contact, disappeared into the back, and left everyone waiting. There were only two sauces available, which made it feel like they had already given up on the night. It came across as lazy and unprofessional. KJ moved so slowly it was painful to watch... someone needs to tell him to lay off whatever he's on, because he clearly wasn't in the right headspace to be working. The cashier (Asian male) didn't do much either, he stood there directing everyone else to do the smallest things instead of helping himself... super lazy yet bossy. TheAnd the girls working that night seemed to be actively avoiding customers by hiding in the back. No teamwork, no communication, and no social awareness. Just a bunch of people who didn't want to be there and didn't care that customers were. Shout out to the guy with the blonde hair. He was the only one who seemed to understand what customer service is supposed to look like. He was polite and professional... at least someone on that shift can show some respect. Honestly, if you sign up to work at CAVA, you should expect to have customers--right up until closing time. That's the job. If you don't want to serve people, maybe this isn't the place to be working. This is a popular chain with a reputation for fast, quality service, and it's frustrating when employees act like they're doing customers a favor. I am writing this while getting injected antibiotics and waiting for my prescribed medication. Clearly they did not handle food well because I am having hives. A lot of their sauces are yogurt based and it could be from mishandling of the food since they sit out until the tubs are empty. Or could be from the chicken possibly not fully cooked but I think it could be from the sauces/dressing. I am suffering right now with hives and severe itching literally all over my body.. On my neck, back, hands, severly on my chest, shoulders, arms, and painful, itchy red bumps all over my face. My ears are also red, itchy, and burning/on fire from the reaction! The only two areas I don't have haves are my feet and a small patch at the back of my neck closer to my hairline. Other than that my whole entire body is covered in painful, itchy hives and symptoms are getting worse and worse by the hour covering my of my body. My first experience at this location was thru delivery and they messed but my order. They compensated with a free bowl. My next visit at this location, they ran out of chicken (?) so I left. My official in-store visit made up for all of it. Customer service was on point. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The assembly line moved kinda slow but acceptable since this location is fairly new. The food is very good. I suggest you put all your sauces/dips on the side bc your bowl will end up tasting like a big bowl of cold dip (unless that's your thing). Make sure to order a side of pita chips. They're so good. I've been to this location about 5 times. The first time I was a little intimidated/scared because I had no idea what to do, but once I went inside, I discovered it's super easy and clearcut. Each time I pretty much get the same thing--half rice, half salad, chicken and grilled veggies, and tons of toppings. Everything is always fresh and full of flavor. I've learned to get the dressing on the side and to always ask for pita bread since it doesn't seem like it's a standard offer. My last visit was even better than usual because of the friendly service we received from Deina. Actually, all the employees exuded especially good energy this night. I don't care how good the food is, I WILL NOT return if the service is bad, and Deina treated us so nicely. It's the little things that are actually big things-- like friendly and smiling employees--that make such a difference and leave a lasting impression. I can't wait to go back again. I could not read her name tag but I asked her if she would remake my order since my Pick up order was brought back in my someone. One.... I don't know this person and my lids were open. Two......
