Earlier in the week, one of my social media followers made a post about Cava. I knew I had to order from there this week. It's in one of the few restaurants where you can order just about anything on the menu and not feel bad eating afterwards. When I order Cava I usually get a bowl. Harissa chicken is my favorite protein but I decided to switch it up. Here is my order: Tzatziki, Grilled Chicken, Persian Cucumber, Tomato + Onion, Pickled Onions, Baby Spinach, Saffron Basmati Rice, Crazy Feta®, Red Pepper Hummus, Salt-Brined Pickles, Tahini Caesar, Yogurt Dill, Free Side Pita As you can see Cava offers a variety different toppings and sauces to choose from. When I ordered I got my sauces on the bowl instead of on the side. I'm always impressed with the service here. I mostly order takeout and usually when I go pick up my order it's ready to pickup in their take out area. That was no different this time. There were a few people in line waiting to order as left the restaurant. When I got home from picking up my food I wasted little time. I devoured my meal. Fresh toppings are a staple at Cava and they lived up to it. I really love the pickled onions. The chicken was seasoned so precisely. This was my first time at CAVA. The food (bowl) was good I can not complain about it. My complaint is about the service. The staff was awful. CAVA had to many staff members working and for the staff to have a nasty attitude. I was greeted with wait by a team member will be with you in a moment. Again they were not busy but had 5 people on the line and I had to wait. Then I asked for a recommendation of what was good, the staff member acted as if I offended them, she said she could not recommend anything and to read the menu. Wow. I proceeded with my order, however, at that point I did want to walk out but continue to order. I was recommened to by another restaurant to visit CAVA. At this time I can not tell you about the atmosphere of the restaurant because I was a little heated at the staff. Delicious Mediterranean food leaning towards bowls but pitas are available in this assembly establishment like Simple Greek, Chipotle etc. They were featuring spicy falafels that I chose for my salad protein. They were fine but far from spicy. My salad top came loose and dumped my salad leftovers driving, so I'm concerned with how their compostable bowls hold up to wet items. Its like the salad loosened the lid. Food and service were great, and restaurant was pleasant. I liked availability of counter seating. This is a fun, healthy addition to Mobile for fast casual dining. Heads up -- the location wouldn't coordinate with mine for some reason even though I was inside the restaurant. read more

I've eaten at other CAVA locations and had good experiences, but this Mobile location really let me down. During my visit, I witnessed cross-contamination from an employee handling food, which is a serious concern for anyone with allergies or dietary needs. When I tried to address it, the employee was dismissive and had a rude, unhelpful attitude. Food safety and customer service are the basics in any restaurant, and unfortunately this visit made me feel that both were being ignored. I truly hope management takes this seriously and provides better training, because customers deserve to feel safe and respected when dining here read more

I've had Cava while on the West Coast and I was ecstatic to find this location while in Mobile. I attempted to check in but for some odd reason, it was showing I was too far away. This location is conveniently tucked into its own corner in a large shopping plaza. Parking close did seem a bit of a challenge and it's a busy parking lot so use extra caution. I went for lunch and there was a pretty long line. Luckily I wasn't in a rush nor did I have a time limit. The line did move fairly quickly. I got a custom bowl with super greens, saffron rice, lentils, harissa, eggplant, grilled chicken, pickled onions, tomato and cucumber, kalamata olives, Persian cucumber, and feta. I got Greek vinaigrette dressing on top. I've gotten this same bowl before and it is incredibly delicious! All of the flavors and textures mesh together so well! Been here a few times but the place still feels like it's getting its sea legs. I'm not a big "Mediterranean" fan but the food was really tasty. The service has been mixed. Sometimes greeted with a smile and enthusiasm And other times you would have thought I stole their puppy. I don't know if it's staffing level or the times I show up but the place needs some help keeping tables clean. Foods decent. A female worker with black hair was extremely rude and made my experience unpleasant. They offer SO many gluten free options! My husband is celiac so finding a safe place to eat out is incredibly difficult for us. I had a delicious GF Greek Salad & he had a realllly awesome GF Spicy Lamb Meatballs (salad- instead of a pita wrap) Picture below... I eat GF so I don't cross contaminate him. In the case of these two dishes.... It was as simple as asking them to hold the Pita! Everything else was fine. The staff was understanding & VERY knowledgeable, kudos to management for that!!! I hate to see Zoe's go, but Cava did not disappoint! The portions are generous and the quality of food seems better than it's predecessor. Unexpectedly, I've fallen in love with Pita chips. The decor is very minimalistic and not warm but the food is great. I've dined in this location before but regretfully I must admit that the restaurant does not have a pleasant smell. I got a kids meal and it was honestly a perfect size for myself. I got a kids pita with chicken, cucumber salad, tzatziki, cabbage slaw, and yogurt dill. It was so good! I am absolutely in love with the pita. The service was good and the inside was clean. read more

Brown rice is hard, basmati rice is over cooked and mushy, spinach is rotten when slimy green pieces, harissa honey chicken is supposed to be a little spicy but rarely is, pita chips are stale, and portions are very inconsistent.
