Its been a minute since I had last been to CAVA so I wanted to stop in and see what's new. This location has a nice spacey seating area and lots of seating for small or larger groups. I decided to try the steak harissa bowl and was not disappointed in my choice. All the ingredients were very fresh, the steak was tender and the hot harissa vinaigrette was the perfect acidic kick the dish needed. I also really enjoyed the agua frescas! The mint cucumber and Aleppo tangerine were so delicious!

Half chicken half roasted vegetable bowl with white rice and splendid greens. I got hummus, tahini, and I can't remember the third one.

First time at this location but second Cava visit. I loved the first time so much I had to have my son try it! I ventured out and created my own bowl this time, with half chicken half roasted vegetables. The roasted vegetables were chef's kiss amazing! Chicken, like last time, was fantastic. My son got the steak but tried my bowl and said he would go for chicken next time as the steak is pretty well done and doesn't really take in the bowl's flavors. I also discovered Maine Root's Blueberry soda this time and dang it I'm trying to cut the soda consumption but it was probably my favorite soda I've ever had.

I didnt know i had a Cava near my home.i have to resist the urge to go there every week. Staff isnt overly welcoming but they aren't rude either. Food is always fresh and flavorful. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Every time I come here the dining tables and floor is always very clean.

Really cava? I get it times are hard but for a $15 bowl I expected more than half a tablespoon of hummus. Bowls in general are much smaller than they used to be. What a rip off.

The girl making my bowl didn't even acknowledge or speak to anybody in line. If she's going to be on the front line, have a little customer friendliness. For $14 this bowl is really skimpy. We've been coming to this location for years now and it just keeps getting less and less for the same amount of money. They did flood it in sauce though..... i guess they're used to more food in the bowl to cover than what's there now. I did notice that there's a new bowl place a couple doors down. I guess I'll have to try that out and see if it's good and priced better.

I just came to say that this was the best roasted sweet potatoes Ive ever had. It was still sweet without tons of sugar added on top if it, like naturally sweet. It wasn't too roasted or dry, literally perfect. I had it inside of my build your bowl. I love the variety they offer. I got the baby spinach, with saffron rice, sweet heat chicken, egg plant, and a variety of toppings with 3 dips & 2 dressings. The bowl is very fulfilling with plenty to save for later. The staff in the food line were nice. Craig was very friendly and pleasant to talk with when explaining the toppings. They had plenty of indoor seating and a nice patio option. This is a really nice & quick healthy meal with plenty of lemonade options.

This location is the closest cava to me and I don't mind driving 25 minutes for it just because the service is so good here. Every time I come in the employees are so kind, as a bonus they always give you a gracious portions! Food is always so fresh and I enjoy it every time.

I was blessed with the opportunity of my first CAVA visit and it did not disappoint. The flavors were incredibly fresh and delicious all throughout the bowl (you know how with certain "bowl" places, the flavor diminishes?!?) definitely not the case with CAVA. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal as the photo depicts.

    First time here!

First time trying Cava and I couldn't be more pleased!! If you're familiar with the business flow of Chipotle, Cava won't be hard to navigate at all!! I got the grains and salad bowl and started building to my heart/tummy desires. You can also order their "pre-made" which are already thought up for you, then personalize it from there. By the time you finish the customized bowl, be fair warned you probably built a $20 bowl lol. The garlic and tahini sauce were both awesome, can't wait to go back.

Love the food here! Everything always seems super fresh and clean. 1/2 regular chicken, 1/2 spicy chicken is the best combo.

All dinners come with a Greek garlic bread starter. I love their iced tea- fresh brewed and always good! The wine is Greek and seems a small bit pricey, but for the extra dollar or two it's worth it- Very delicious. Anything you get at Athena's is amazing so feel free to branch out on your choice. And the desserts are large and homemade! It's hard to save room though. You'll love the fish, steaks, and kebabs. They do a nice lunch sandwich- and still comes with the bread and a Greek salad. If you come on a weekend evening, you may run into the owner having the time of her life! And they take pride in serving the most sweet and ripe slice of melon with every dish. Started to enjoy this first each time I come. It is that delicious, but why can't I find fruit like that anywhere at a grocery store? Give this place a try. Yummy. Officially the authentic Greek restaurant without going overboard. Wait- the homemade 3 layer chocolate cake and the lemon cake! Actually bought a whole one for a large birthday party and everyone wanted to know the bakery name- just Athena's homemade cake! Remember, Greek food is fresh with best ingredients. Established back in 1977, this Greek café has grown from a humble walk‑up window into a full‑fledged neighborhood institution, beloved for its hearty Mediterranean comfort food and lively, come‑as‑you‑are atmosphere. The Montrose location stays bustling from lunch through late night, drawing in everyone from families to night‑owls to longtime regulars who've been coming here for decades. What keeps people returning is simple: the food hits. Diners consistently praise the authentic Greek flavors, especially the gyro plates -- a blend of beef and lamb shaved from the spit, tucked into warm, fresh pita, and finished with cool, garlicky tzatziki. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and the pricing stays reasonable, making it one of the best value spots in the neighborhood. Your gyro arrives stacked, your fries come hot, and your plate feels like it was built by someone who actually wants you to leave full. The menu is huge, but the classics shine brightest. The Greek salad is crisp and refreshing, loaded with feta, olives, tomatoes, and their famous dressing. Service here is fast, friendly, and efficient -- the kind of counter‑style operation where the staff keeps things moving without losing the warmth that makes the place feel welcoming. Guests frequently mention how upbeat and helpful the team is, even during rush hours. The vibe is lively but never chaotic: families grabbing dinner, couples sharing mezze plates, and regulars chatting with staff like old friends. It's casual, energetic, and unmistakably Montrose. One thing that sets Niko Niko's apart is its deep Houston history. The Fetokakis family has run the restaurant for nearly half a century, maintaining a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality that helped the café earn multiple Houston Press awards over the years -- from Best Pork Chops to Best Family‑Owned Restaurant. Even as the city has changed around it, Niko Niko's has stayed true to its roots: hearty food, Greek hospitality, and a community‑driven spirit. Whether you're grabbing a quick gyro, sitting down for a full spread, or stopping by for dessert after a night out, Niko Niko's delivers exactly what a neighborhood staple should: great food, great value, and a welcoming atmosphere. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the experience feels like Houston -- diverse, warm, and full of character. If you're in Montrose and craving Greek comfort done right, this spot remains one of the city's most reliable pleasures.

We have our go to order: hot green tea with honey. Idk why I love it so much but I swear it just hits different here. Maybe it's the cute little pot they serve it in. For food, we usually start with an appetizer and split the mixed shawarma plate. This last time we shared a Greek salad as an appetizer. Fresh and delicious as always. One of our sides was the baba ghanoush, which was incredible. Dont get me started on the pita it comes with....Warm, soft, and fresh. It takes everything in me not to demolish the whole basket. For our other side, we always get the potatoes. They're perfectly seasoned with a slight sweetness and a little kick. Hands down my favorite side dish here! The portions are generous too. For me and my boyfriend (who can definitely eat), splitting this is always enough to fill us up. I also have to shout out the service because it's consistently great. Even when it's packed and there's just one waiter, everything flows smoothly. Safe to say we'll keep coming back!
