I sent in an online order and was standing at the pickup area for about 15 minutes- yes I talked to someone who said they were making the one bowl I ordered- but after awhile I checked in to see what was up. They said there was no order and it may not have went through because they no longer had about 75% of their toppings. After that I got an extremely rude response from the cashier who said I can either get in line or leave. Should've left but I got in line to order anyway. They left the food out so they could refill the 4 toppings they did have left and even that took them 10 minutes. After getting the actual food after a total of 35 minutes the food was cold and they skimped on rice and meat-worse than chipotle did during their whole scandal. I am shocked and never seen a CAVA so disorganized and straight up rude. The place was also a mess with food and trash everywhere in the dining area and even behind the counter! Brought my aunt to try this place out after a nice walk at Hermosa beach after giving it rave reviews. I've only had it in Fullerton, this was my first time at this location. The line was to the door so you can imagine how long we waited only to hear that we had to wait for more chicken to be made and it would be ready in 15 minutes, I got the lamb meatballs instead and was told there'd be an extra charge for them but there was literally nothing else to choose from, lol. We got out of line after I paid and waited 30 minutes on top of the 30 we waited when we got there. This place should not be running out of anything knowing how busy it gets during certain hours. When I got home of course the lamb meatballs had become cold but after trying them I noticed they were totally inedible as they were burnt and very dried out, warming them up would've only made this worse. This is not the cava experience I was looking forward to or wanted to give my auntie. I definitely would like this to be fixed as soon as possible because cava is way too expensive and the one hour wait was way too long to finally get the food for the meat to be burnt and overcooked, leaving the taste throughout the bowl. Not a fan and it's still sitting in my fridge uneaten because I cannot eat it and live way in Orange County, hopefully I can get a refund by the time I go back.:-( read more

This locations must be run by high school drops outs. The Customer service is terrible! If you don't want to work go home! The first guy I said scoop a little bit of lentils in my bowls he dumped the whole bucket on there. He also whispers so you can't hear anything he is saying. This location was out of chicken and almost out of steak. No one greets you when you come in. Then I ask about the hot pita chips if they were good and the cashier was like ummm they are cold and idk if they will make anymore. The pita bread they give you with your food was cold also. Entered and went to the front (there was no line) because I had an online pick up order, and the girl in the front completely ignored me- she was talking it up with another girl, and i'm assuming she worked there too but wasn't in uniform or possibly a friend of hers. Another worker came up and the girl worker told him "i don't know what she's here for". Like girl be so for real. If she was on break, she could've simply told me someone else would attend me shortly, instead of looking at ME like if I was crazy for just standing there. I told the guy I had an online pick up order and he proceeds to check for it, only for my order to have been ignored and said he's going to work on it now (i got to the store 20min after ordering it). Food is great. The service is a joke. Whoever owns and trains employees is obviously huge POS. It's actually entertaining to go a see how bad to service is and employees are. Wasn't friendly and had major attitude. One guy decided to clean the veggie area dropping old food into the clean trays. The restaurant was dirty. Every table was dirty including the tables outside . I asked one of the workers to clean the table and with an attitude she said OK, and never came to clean the table leaving me to stand there for 5 min looking crazy! Love the food here, but not the staff :( - Food: Love the wide variety and vast options. I've had both the bowl and the pita wrap and both were really good. I love the sauces and all the toppings. My favorite is the braised lamb with a side of sweet potatoes! - Location: Lots of parking, but parking gets full, so you might have to park a bit farther. - Ambiance/Interior: Minimal seating inside, but more seating outside and in the area. - Staff: I've always witnessed at least 1 bad staff every time I've been here. For example, the person I was with was having difficulty choosing, and the worker raised his voice and him and told him to "hurry up". This was the worst experience I've had yet, but every time I go, there's at least one staff that is either lazy or rude. I love the food and the concept of Cava, but the staff is not the best at all.
