Para's food is fantastic because of three things: The owner buys quality ingredients, genuinely cares about his service and customers, and takes pride in his business. I have tried so many different things from their menu and have never been disappointed. And it's not the same old thing as everyplace else in Dover. Then, on top of that, the prices are excellent! There's more that I still look forward to trying, but I have especially enjoyed the different rice platters (even the chicken and I'm not usually a "chicken guy"), their pizzas, and the generous baklava. There's honestly nothing about Para's that has disappointed me, which is why I am so pleasantly surprised, as that is incredibly rare these days. Personally, I can't think of another local place that's actually fun for me. More people need to try Para's and tell others after they have, or I'm afraid that it could one day disappear. From it's location in the back of a very large parking lot, the restaurant just doesn't have Rt-13 visibility or traffic. People just don't see it back there. And it's not some corporate franchise chain that uses miserable ingredients while spending hundreds of millions on advertising, real estate, and huge signage. They do not provide change!!! If you pay a $61 check with a $100 bill, or any bills greater than the amount, you get nothing back! They just presume that's what you want to tip! I never heard of such a thing. We didn't have a lot of small bills with us after shopping at the festival, and had not expected such an absurd policy. So we paid as they requested, with exact change to meet the bill. The waiter got himself a 96 cent tip. No manager was available to ask why there was such a ridiculous policy.
