This is the second time I've ordered from the Coppell location and I was told my order was made and another guest took it. The whole point of ordering on the app is to cut the time in the restaurant. Then when I advise that my bowl is not by pick up, it gets remade and the team member is like oh well I guess we had to remake it for you in a very rude and accusatory way. FIRST - it was not "remade for me" because I never received the first one. Secondly; this is the second time this has happened at this location. The customer service is POOR. Food was very good. I had the Greek Salad Bowl. The dining area was not clean. There was not one table or seating area that looked clean.

I love cava, their food is absolutely delicious. However do not go to this location it's awful. They are ALWAYS running out of something whether it's dressing or toppings. I came in here at 2pm on a slow Sunday and they ran out of some toppings for the entire day (the attendant said). Additionally they didn't offer me my free pita that comes with the bowl (didn't realize until after I finished eating). Lastly they are skimpy with the portions. Typically when I go to cava and order a bowl I can hardly ever finish it, I probably eat about half then save the rest for later. Today I finished the entire bowl in one sitting and was still hungry. Never had any of these issues at any other cava location. So yea I'm not a review writer typically, but I was so unsatisfied that I had to say something. Coppell, Denton tap road Cava: literally the rudest employees ever at this place. Just had yet another horrible experience. Although I love Cava, this location is not worth going to. The employees are the absolute worst. I asked for a simple change to my bowl "romaine" instead or arugala, and the rude employee mouthed off and had a problem making a simple dietary swap. Do better and hire normal people! Make actually make people return. I've heard several complaints about the service in the area which is why this cava is never busy. Every other cava in the world has lines out the door but this one. Look internal and realize it's the horrible people you hire. 0/10 experience. I will not return. read more

I was greeted and served by Brandon who did a great job explaining to me the options Cava offered and even gave me a couple of samples to try! CAVA gets the job done! I am so grateful that this company is expanding all throughout the DFW area. This is the perfect option for a healthy and affordable lunch. HEAVY on the affordable. Which is very hard to get these days. This place is basically a Mediterranean Chipotle. My go to order is usually a CYO bowl. Every now and then I'll switch it up and get a pita wrap. I like the grilled chicken and braised lamb. The lamb meatballs were just ok. I don't have to get them again. The variety of spreads, dips, dressings and toppings is what really makes me love this place! There is no reason why your meal should flavorless or dry. They have options. I've noticed the protein portions vary from each employee so if you NEED that protein (especially if it's an online order) just double up to be safe. Trust me. Spreads: Red pepper hummus, tzatziki, roasted eggplant, crazy feta Dressings: Yogurt dill, garlic, Greek vinaigrette, and lemon herb tahini. (Garlic and Greek vinaigrette are the REAL favs) I only wish this place offered more options for side items. Especially the times I order a pita wrap. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie tastes very healthy and oaty. Take that information and do what you will with it lol. Overall, I suggest adding CAVA on your list. I used to love this location. I still love Cava but out of the 30 times I've been to this location I've had two really bad experiences. Today they didn't even have toppings and it's only 8:40pm. The girl asked the person putting away the topping if there was anymore and she said just tell him we are out. I should have just walked out but I was hungry. The other bad experience was when my fiancé and I went. I always pay for meals and she wanted to pay so she said don't let him pay. Just picked up an order to go. The young man behind the counter just gave me a blank stare when I asked him for a menu item. He went on to explain that the Greek Chicken was a pita not a bowl? He was not customer friendly at all. My order got passed on to the next worker who did a good job. While I was waiting for my order to be ready, I looked back to the kitchen. It was filthy. There were 2 workers who were joking around and not attentive to their tasks. If customers can see that degree of uncleanliness, what's in the kitchen that we can't see? We came about an hour near closing, but foods were still plentiful and fresh, and workers were still welcoming (which is hard after a long shift-especially in this Texas heat!) I assume since it was slow and today's weather was in triple digits, James made our night by having small talk and giving us our drink on the house. Thank you for your kindness! This evening around 6pm my daughter wanted to go to the store in Coppell. I ordered the greek salad and get to the cashier only to find out they are out of the greek dressing. Then they tell my daughter they are out of her dressing. We are both visibly and vocally not happy. Cashier asks if we want anything to drink and I say yes, if it's free because you don't have not one but two dressings. With an attitude she said she couldn't do that. I have been here a few times and the food is pretty good but the service is pretty terrible. Every time I come, I am charged for something I didn't order, but because they don't show your order on a screen anywhere, you can't catch it until after you pay and they print a receipt (which you have to ask them to do - it's not automatic). I probably won't be back because I am not willing to be stolen from as a customer and essentially dared to have to ask them to void the charge and charge me the correct amount when there is a line of people behind me. Today, I was the third person in line when I walked in. The manager helped the two people on front of me and then proceeded to package about 6 different to go orders while I stood in line watching and waiting. This wouldnt have been so bad if he had acknowledged my existence and said something like "Sorry ma'am, we're short staffed and will be with you as soon as we can". The first time I had ordered through DoorDash and they gave my DoorDasher the wrong order saying that there was no other orders for them to pick up so I got a meal that I couldn't even eat. The second time I ordered through Cava's website and I went and picked up the order and the protein was missing. I called to resolve the situation and instead of helping me get it fixed a representative at Cava Coppell accused me of lying, saying that they made my order and there's no way they would've forgotten it. Let me just start off my saying I love Cava. Great flavors, decent price, good fresh food. I have had mostly great experiences there. I came into this location expecting to leave as I often do, full as a tick and happy as a clam. But not this time. Not tonight. I will not name any names or give any descriptions, because I don't want anyone to get fired. But I have never been more annoyed by a service worker in my entire life. From the second I stepped in line, he was rude. No "how can I help you" or "what would you like today", he just waited for me to start talking while he stared at me as if I had just rigged an orphanage with explosives. I don't know what I did to annoy this guy so much (hint: I didn't do anything), but the entire time I was ordering he was being absolutely, disastrously rude. The only thing he said to me was "is that all" when ordering a side. When it comes to tone of voice, I can best describe it as Squidward on a bad prescription of antidepressants. I'm serious, it was the worst service I have ever gotten. I get that everyone has bad days, I have worked in food service before so I know there are times where I would rather be eaten alive by a group of rabid opossums than serve the next customer. And I'm not expecting every worker to smile cheek to cheek and tell me how handsome I look while giving me a free lollipop, but this was just unacceptable. I came in as a paying customer, and this employee (who is paid to make the bowl for me) made me feel as if I was the biggest inconvenience in the world. Crazy town. I don't know if he will read this. Hell, I don't know if anyone will read this. But on the off chance he does, I want him to ask himself this: Where is your lust for life brother!?! Where is the zeal that drives forth the hearts of man?? Too many a man I've seen bogged down by his own attitude, by the cold box in which he places his psyche. My night was ruined when I walked in to that Cava, but it could have just as easily been made. If I was treated wonderfully and kindly, I leave that place smiling, happy, and ready to chow down on that cava like a starving refugee who just smoked weed for the first time and now has the munchies. Service matters. Attitude matters. Kindness matters. I didn't think that I would ever go back to this location, but everyone deserves a second chance. The food at every Cava restaurant is great. Consistently fresh and visually appealing. What sets the Coppell location apart is the level of CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff members are unfailingly courteous and friendly. The service is fast yet carefully prepared and presented even at their busiest times of day. Cleaning seems to be an obsession from the tables to the floors to the restrooms. When you meet one of the managers, Crystal, it becomes clear why this location is so well run.
