I am a loyal customer who frequents CAVA on a weekly basis, so it is deeply disappointing to have encountered this level of service. During my visit, I was rung up by a cashier named Chloe, whose behavior was entirely hostile, rude, and unprofessional. After she slammed my pita chips onto the countertop, I politely inquired about them. In response, Chloe began shouting at me in front of other guests. When I asked to speak with the store manager, Chloe completely disregarded my request, continued to speak loudly over me, and aggressively demanded to know what dressing I wanted. When the manager arrived, Chloe addressed them using highly dismissive language, stating, "This woman wants you." To escalate the situation further, as I was leaving the store, Chloe continued to smile and wave at me in an intentionally mocking and antagonizing manner. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic dignity and respect. The behavior displayed by Chloe is a severe violation of standard customer service ethics and reflects poorly on the CAVA brand. I respect your establishment, but I cannot overlook this level of harassment. Furthermore, I noticed that the food portions served during this visit were significantly smaller than what is standard for CAVA. Combined with the aggressive and mocking treatment I received from the staff, I am deeply concerned that I was targeted and subjected to racial bias and discriminatory treatment. The bowl I received from Cava was pathetic. 5 completely burnt lamb meatballs on both sides. I asked for corn, crazy feta, eggplant dip, pickled onions, tomato & cucumber, cabbage slaw, and feta. I received burnt meatballs (not charred BURNT), kalamata olives, tomato/onions, and broccoli. They either severely messed up my order or gave me someone else's order. Even if that was someone else's order, it looks awful. I returned to the store to let them know how badly it was ruined and the only thing the employee said was "oh we ran out of pickled onions" which doesn't explain everything else that was messed up on this order. My only critique was that I wish they did the dips at the end with the sauce. Once the meat and toppings go on after you choose your 3 dips, everything gets kinda lost and you feel like you're eating the same thing in each bite. Which isn't bad, but I'd kinda like to know which sauce is which and what they actually taste like individually haha. But next time I will just ask for them on the side. I'm a big fan of Cava in general for healthy mediterannean food, this location is also good. They have been the most busy around lunchtime on a weekend when I've been, when I went on a weekday they were busy but not too bad. They have a lot of options both for vegetarians and meat lovers. Of their proterins, their lamb is quite good and so is their falafel. I haven't had any protein I didn't like. I'm a huge fan of Harissa and they it both as a sauce and in some proteins like the honey harissa chicken which I like quite a bit. You can select if you want just carbs like rices or just salad or a mix. They have good salad options, not the cheap but completely devoid of nutrition like lettuce that you see at so many places. You can build your own pita or salad or get one of their "specials" which costs slightly more but is good. You could probably build your own salad/pita but use the same ingredients if you want to save a buck. This is definitly one of my favorite lunch spots around the Highland Village area. read more

Weirdest experience. We loved Zoe's kitchen, but we also had high hopes for CAVA (same location). The line of customers was to the door, which was a good sign. It's counter service and offered a make-your-own bowl/salad/pita option. There were no menus by the door or along the wall, so we had to wait until we were close enough to get an idea of what we would order. The majority of the offerings were only listed by small signs on the glass (like Subway). When we made it up to the counter, that's when it got weird. I explained it was our first time and was looked at like I was an idiot. I asked about the different options of rice, "what is rightrice?" as it is a trademark item. He said something but I couldn't understand because of his mask so I politely asked again, and he started scooping it into the bowl for my son. We stopped him in time and he got very frustrated. It was the same way when we got to the proteins. I was looking at the options and was debating about one of the chickens and he just picked one and put it in the bowl. He was annoyed by my questions, even though I only had two. One about rice and one about the toppings. But it was very uncomfortable. I was helping out son, so I didn't realize the exact same thing was happening with my husband behind me. Once we sat down, we learned that we were both treated very poorly by asking a couple of questions. For the most part, we enjoyed the bowls. We both agreed the chicken was gristly. I have a very hard time with meat. But my husband is a carnivore. So when he also said he was having a hard time with the chicken, I knew it wasn't good quality. The rest of the bowl was great. I still want to try it again, but I'm really hoping for someone different behind the counter. I felt like the biggest burden by being there. My husband and I have basically relied on this CAVA for the last few months as we remodel our house. We have gone at least once sometimes 4 days a week...for a couple months now. The food is amazing - when they give you it. The reason I have 1-star is because the service and care from the staff at this location is horrendous lately. It has made a huge downfall in the last few weeks to the point where after today I'm not sure we will be going here again. We are not hard to please, and we are extremely forgiving. I understand you run out of food, quality is never 100% anywhere. But time and time again, the workers quite literally rush you when you're ordering, I'll be finishing saying "harissa humm-" as they cut you off to say "what else". Huff and puff and literally roll eyes when someone walks in the door. My husband went recently and this one gentlemen helping him said they ran out of all different types of things, but they didn't, it was in the back and the guy was too lazy to go get it. My husband questioned it by like the third thing they were out of and he said "well I just don't see it here it's probably in the back." And my husband asked if he could stock it because there were multiple things "out" and he did. Just silly and careless. Then tonight we ordered to pick up because it was getting late, and the photo is a bowl like 1/3 full, barely any protein, barely a scoop of romaine... for a $11-12 salad. And each time we ordered out they forget one of our pita or a piece of the order, or apparently the other half of the entire bowl. I don't know maybe it's because we always order kind've late between like 8:30-9 when they close at 10.... But they close at 10. There shouldn't be a reason they have the chairs up at 8:30 and putting stuff away an hour before closing. This is why we go to cava because many places close at 9 and with working it's the only place we can catch open. I more hope the manager of this location sees this and makes some changes read more

The food at Cava was good. It feels like you are eating healthy, yet I was surprised at the calories in the bowls. I had the Harissa Chicken Bowl. I really liked the cucumber drink. They had a line, but they were not overly busy. When we went to pick a table, the available tables inside were all dirty with crumbs and looked sticky. We decided to sit outside instead. When were finishing our meal an employee started cleaning inside. So, they do clean they just may not have had enough staffing. The servers and cashier did their job, but weren't overly friendly. I had seen them give Naan to other customers and ask people placing to go orders if they wanted any, but my bowl was passed along with no naan, until I asked for some. I saw a review that compared Cava to Chipotle. The reviewer regarded Cava higher than Chipotle, but I don't agree. I see the resemblance, but prefer Chipotle, where I have always had very good service and a cleaner restaurant. read more
