I finally got to try Cava the other day! I've been meaning to go for a while now since my friends keep saying how delicious it is. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food and love all the options they offer. This location is in South End and shares the same parking deck as West Elm, Barry's, and other stores. The store is clean with a plenty of seating. I created a custom bowl with the chicken and lamb. The meats were so tender and the ingredients fresh. Finally! Atherton got new places to eat. Cava is Mediterranean served up "Chipotle" style. Grains and veggies to your preference. Soups of the day too and proteins from chicken to chickpea (falafel). My favorite bowl is "grains + greens" using the supergreens and safron rice. Falafel, because have you ever tried making your own? Dabs of Tatziki and hummus and toppings Galore (no limit) but I recommend the cauliflower tabuleh, tomatoes, cucumbers and picked red onions. The dill yoghurt dressing to top it all. Drinks: house made lemonades and teas depending on your taste as well as their main root brands of soda. Ample parking available with the new Novel apartments above the first level retail. Good food, poor service. Been to this location quite a few times now and have to say the staff is one of the worst trained around. They act as if they do not want to be there and that they are annoyed and inconvenienced that they have to take your order. In the process they routinely screw up your order trying to rush you through the line so that they can get back to slacking off. Only two stars instead of one because CAVA's food is good. I recommend going to the Park Rd. location for a better experience. Clearly there's a reason why despite being in the heart of South End, this location is usually pretty empty. read more

I've been to this place twice now, and both times the food, and the cleanliness has been well below other Cavas. The juice looks like it has never been changed, only added too, and it tasted horrible. My salad had a piece of metal in it. It looked like a small metal clamp. You shouldn't have to choose healthy over satisfying when planning your meal and Cava makes that very easy to do. All dishes come under $10 unless you want to add special meat but still reasonable. I typically love CAVA but this location is not it. I walked in and the energy felt off and cold. I first asked what their soup of the day was and the response was "we don't have soup". I was wondering why they don't have soup when it's an option on the board. Then I asked for a greens and grains bowl. The woman started making my bowl without the grains. I had to ask her to add the grains. Then when she was done, she kinda tossed my bowl and it took awhile for the other worker to acknowledge me. I was simply thrown off by the attitudes tonight. Unlike Chipotle and Viva Chicken, Cava sources and uses a much high quality oil (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), which has also been a game changer for my health and allows one to stay healthy and thrive, while having Cava in their weekly diet routine. I alternate between the shredded lamb and their hot honey chicken in a bowl or fresh pita wrap and am a big fan of their lentils and fresh hummus variety. The service is terribly slow due to multiple staff not working or hiding in the back. Whenever i'm there to order at the counter, they are flooded with mobile orders and don't make eye contact with those waiting in person. When I order online, I am often caught waiting forever for my mobile order, long after the website's "promised ready time". Always a fantastic experience with excellent food. The best way to explain Cava is like Chipotle for Mediterranean food. It's a fast casual. You order at the counter and either build your bowl or pita and then have the ability to add a protein, toppings and sauces. This is a fantastic lunch spot and we have even brought several guests here for a quick dinner. Haven't had a bad experience yet. I always get the super greens as my base the egg plant dip I also tried the feta this time omg loved it.. chicken for protein but the veggies I love so much I get a double of it plus the lemon sauce at the end. I love Cava.... But this particular location was HORRIBLE. To start off, the lentils weren't cooked at all. It felt like I was eating a bowl of pebbles. Second the spinach was rotten. Like straight up soggy and discolored. The girl making our food was extremely rude... to an uncomfortable degree. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience to be there. She skimped on just about everything in my bowl, from the rice to the toppings. She tried to tell me it would cost extra for 3 types of dip, even though the sign clearly said "choose up to three dips" She violently threw the ingredients into the bowl as if she was enraged to be making the food. Overall a bad experience. I'll happily return to any other Cava location, but I'm not setting foot back in this place again. read more

I visited the South Blvd location on yesterday(7/16) at 8:45- the worse service and experience ever. When I arrived they we're missing several items and the young lady that helped me had the worse attitude. She seemed to be preparing to close and the other workers were sitting down eating when they were to close at 10pm (an hour and 15 mins later). When I got to the register, she sat me food down and walked off. I tapped to pay and had to bag all my stuff myself. When the receipt didn't print because she walked off, I had to ask for it and she seemed so upset. Worst experience - horrible customer service and item selection was awful. read more

I ordered grains bowl with 9 toppings but it looked like half of topping., taste was good but I literally am still hungry. Hands down Yafo and Mezzeh have double the selection and flavor amazing. They skimp on toppings at $11 plus tax go to Zafo Kitchen and have 2 days worth of food for less money. Really disappointed with this Cava location. I walked in today to place an order and the staff attempted to up-charge me. When I heard that my total was substantially more than what I regularly pay for the same order I couldn't help but ask what I was being charged for. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. I ordered online 20 minutes before my pickup and when I showed up, I was ignored for another 10 minutes. I think this is a great addition to South End. It's a fast and healthy option. There's a parking deck that doesn't charge attached so it's easily accessible. The inside has a modern rustic feel and was very clean with a lot of table available. Theres also some tables outside which seemed like a popular area. I noticed a lot of people customizing orders but since it was my first time I opted for the Chicken and RightRice bowl where the ingredients were preselected. I thought it was great. The chicken had a good flavor and had a great mix of other ingredients like feta, cucumber, hummus and tomato. They also have a good price point. My meal was only $10.50 and was more than enough food. I would order it again and am excited to return! read more

This was my first time eating there and I must say I was impressed, the employees were very helpful but the employee who stood out the most was Lamont he took his time to walk me through on how to put my bowl together.
