Omg today was my first time eating there for lunch! The customer service was excellent and very professional. The environment was nice and calm when I went today and the restaurant was clean, neat. Food was fresh and prepared made to order definitely loved that!! If you have a chance definitely stop by!!! I believe the manager name on duty that was there was Kayla ( I hope that's right I can't remember) but super sweet!

Saw a BOGO deal on DoorDash for the grilled chicken. I chose salad as the base, which comes topped with sweet potato, shaved parm, and crispy onions. The chicken was a bit on the salty side, but had good flavor and went well with the salad. Overall, a pretty good salad especially with the deal.

Came in for a late Sunday lunch. Upon entering, head to the right, grab a menu and join the ordering line. I tried the Dinner Plate with Salmon, fries, and mixed veggies. Everything was fresh and delicious. My only recommendations are in regard to the sides. The fries were perfectly seasoned and great. However, the mixed vegetables were fine just not my ideal mix and I was expecting a bigger serving. It was a small cup of steamed broccoli, a couple green beans, and cabbage. Again, they tasted just fine, just not my jam. The drink is not included in the dinner plates. If you come between 3pm-6pm, the dinner plate is $15. The restaurant was very clean. They offer several small and large group booth-style seating options. They also have booster seats and high chairs available. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would return.

We just got to Charlotte from Charleston and we're looking for a quick and healthier dinner. We had a meh lobster roll in Charleston so we needed a redemption roll. This place is only a few minutes away from our hotel and it's also one of the few spots open at the time. We ordered a salmon rice bowl and a lobster roll. Oddly, we were the ones there but it took forever for our order to come out. The lobster roll was not bad, but the salmon rice dish was so bland. Even with the sauce that we got and the hot sauce, it was still bland. Our order also came out to be around $60. I would normally be ok paying that much if the food was good, but they were just ok so I felt robbed. The restaurant is cute and clean and the servers were nice enough.

I popped in here for a quick dinner one night recently while on a brief pass through Charlotte. I kind of stumbled on the place and wasn't sure about it. It had kind of a fast food vibe, but what I found was the exact opposite. It has a menu that you kind of take a marker "check off the boxes "for your main course, proteins, sides, etc. The staff was very nice and very attentive! I have to say the food was delivered very quickly and it was hot and very fresh and tasty! I got the grilled salmon with rice, coleslaw, and a couple of side sauces. Everything was fresh and very delicious and no complaints. My only one reservation, and maybe two, Was the portion was kind of small, more like a "lunch portion" than a dinner portion, but still delicious and very filling. My only other issue was although the place was empty, but with a lot of to go traffic, several tables I went to sit at had not been cleaned, and the place was very well staffed and I was a little surprised, but definitely not a dealbreaker. I think for a quick lunch or a quick dinner passing through don't be fooled by the façade. It is not fast food! Very healthy, very delicious, nicely put together with a great staff, preparing and serving.

I love Fish N Chips. This was some of the best I've had. Great crisp on the fish and chips. Generous portion. Very clean seating area. Great staff.

Stopped in for a late lunch after visiting my local office. It was only a block away and I had heard about the one in ATL so today was the day to try it out. They have laminated menus with erasable markers. I asked the server his recommendation and he said fish and chips so I went with his recommendation and added a bowl of their chowdah. Everything came out at once. I ate the chowdah first to let the fish cool down a bit. The fish came with vinegar and their homemade tartar sauce which had a hint of dill. I enjoyed the meal- the chowdah was thick with potatoes and clams, the fries and fish both went great with the tartar sauce. The only thing I would address is the volume of the music. It was about maxed out and was a bit much on a Friday afternoon. Other than that, great spot to grab a bite when in the area .

Made an unexpected stop here for lunch after Hola festival and I'm so glad I did. I don't consider myself a seafood lover so I never thought to stop in here on a solo mission but ok this occasion I wasn't alone and figured that surely there was something on the menu I could eat. Upon arrival (midday on a Saturday) the restaurant was empty so there was no wait. I had a few menu questions and the guy behind the register was super helpful and genuinely cared about customer service. I ended up with the fish and chips meal and a small clam chowder soup. We sat in a cute little table next to the soda machine that gave the vibes like we were eating at a table on a boat. The food didn't take long to come out and was served hot and fresh. Both the fish and fries were delicious. Seasoned well, crispy enough but not over cooked, a good batter to filling ratio and they weren't "fishy" if you know what I mean. The clam chowder was delicious. Creamy and flavorful. I really enjoyed my lunch here today. The inside was very clean and the staff was great. Thank you.

Quick quality seafood... Brown Bag Seafood really impressed me with it's delicious Pollock. I love Pollock because it's the least fishy fish (to me). You can also sub it out for Cod, but with my fish and chips platter the Pollock was the perfect pair. The fish comes out hot and flaky, with these thick seasoned fries and cole slaw. The fries as a side are absolutely delicious, they taste like Arbys curly fries, but steak fry thick. The decor and ambiance was excellent, the two seater tables shows someone put some thought into how the dining room should look. The tables nooks play on the themes of being out at sea, with a rope hanging from above and a lantern below. There is also patio seating for great people watching. Location is excellent, in the heart of uptown on South Tryon as you enter the city. You can park on the street or swing around to the decks. Customer service was 5 stars and the real reason I even ate here. I was headed somewhere else, but stopped in to check out the menu. Tiara was so kind and informative, that I just cancelled my other reservation and stayed. Dre-Bo* and Tee (sorry if I spelled that wrong) were also top tier. Any question or small request, the crew was on it. Pro tip: There is another location about 5 min away in south end, if that's even more convenient. But if you want the best customer service...this is the one.

I saw this place driving in to work last week and made a point to head over on Good Friday for some seafood. I admit, it took a minute to figure out what was on the menu and how to order. The prices are a lot high for uptown during lunch. So this will be a "treat" location. $34 for a decent sized lobster roll and $15 for a power bowl w/grilled salmon is A LOT. To get you over the sticker shock they have a very attentive staff and they were making food to order. I would suggest printing a menu and placing on the wall or window when you enter from the street. Those cookies need a price drop for the size or make them 2 for the current price. Lobster rolls may not be a good fit for the price on a lunch menu.

I try to avoid franchises when I can, but I had just gotten into town and was looking to grab a quick dinner. A friend called Brown Bag an upscale LJS (that pirate themed seafood chain) and she wasn't wrong. They have laminated menus with check boxes so you just fill it out with your order, take it to the counter to pay, and they give you your order number. They got the food to me super quick. It wasn't a busy time so I can't judge completely on the service. The seared tuna was delicious. And the tater tots? So darn good. If I lived near a location, this would become one of my regular spots for a quick lunch or a bite before going to a game.

Tucked at 435 S Tryon, this spot feels like stepping back in time while still enjoying modern elegance. The building itself is the star before you even sit down: a beautifully preserved 1929 Mediterranean Revival gem (originally Ratcliffe's Florist Shop) with original floors, red-brick walls and those stunning decorative Tiffany-style stained-glass windows. The arched ceilings and historic details make the whole room glow -- it's romantic, warm, and full of old Charlotte charm without feeling stuffy. You can literally feel the history while you dine. The menu has that perfect "olden take" I was hoping for -- classic fine-dining favorites done with fresh, New American flair. Think herb-crusted rack of lamb with rosemary jus, pan-seared Chilean sea bass, local shrimp & grits, or a perfectly grilled filet mignon; not leave out the duck, elk and emu. Everything is beautifully plated, and the portions are generous for this level. (Pro tip: add the lobster tail upgrade if you're celebrating!) Service was polished and friendly -- our server knew the wine list and the building's backstory, which made the night even more special. The whole experience felt special-occasion worthy but not pretentious. Whether you're coming before a show at the Knight Theatre or just treating yourself Uptown, Bernardin's delivers on atmosphere, history, and food. Easily one of my new favorite spots in Charlotte. The only thing I'll note is that the menu says it comes with fingerling potatoes and I don't think that's what I got. Not a huge issue obviously. I liked that the tables were a good distance from each other and the servers were very kind and knowledgeable. Everything was amazing and if I lived in Charlotte, I would be going here often.

We had reservations but it wasn't overly busy so I don't think they were necessary for that day and time but I would definitely recommend on busier times. I love the fact that this is more of a tapas style restaurant so you can order and taste a ton of options. Plates are generally around $14-22 per plate and they have enough for three or four (tapas style). We started with crab dip and oysters on the half shell (raw). The crab dip was rich and creamy and served with buttered crusty, buttered bread. The oysters were amazing too but a little nuance about these: they are listed by region (e.g. West Coast, Mid-Atlantic, etc.) and not listed as they type of oyster. Oysters vary greatly within a single region so I would encourage you to ask what specific oysters they serve for each region (they will look it up and tell you) to make sure you know what you are getting. We also ordered the calamari, small salad (unlisted option for the salad listed on the menu) and poke bowl to share. We went in hungry and probably ordered too much because this was all to start off. Everything was really good and worth ordering. For my "entree" or ordered the trout which comes with lentils and broccolini. This dish was fantastic and highly recommended. The trout was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress, Tiffany, was amazing and did a great job. This restaurant is very nicely designed. It's visually appealing with tables indoors, a bar area, and an outside dining area. The hostess and my server were professional and extremely nice and made my dining experience very pleasant. The reason I am giving three stars instead of four or more comes down to value. Seafood is expensive, I get that. But I don't know that there's much value to be had here. Portion sizes are small relative to what you're paying for. And in my opinion, while the freshness and the quality of the seafood may be there, the flavor is not. I have no doubt that the quality of the seafood here is good. But I did not enjoy anything I ordered. I wasn't put off by the food, but I wish I had wanted to savor each bit. I ordered the cajun grilled oysters and the miso sablefish. I thought both were too salty and despite paying over $40 for the meal, I left still a bit hungry.

I am a huge fan of Joe Kindreds restaurant and going since Kindred opened in 2015 but unfortunately this entire interaction was a disappointment. Unfortunately can't recommend.

We came in on a weeknight at dinner time with no reservation, so we had to sit at the bar (which was just fine). The space is very upscale but comfortable. Service was impeccable. The bartender (Kevin?) was engaging and attentive, as were others working behind the bar. They make you kind of feel like regulars, and that vibe led to good conversations with other patrons. The drink menu is impressive, with the usual classics but also many variants on them; all of which sounded really good. My business partner had the Ube Sour. The flavors, including Sweet Potato powder, where unique and really good. I had a Vesper that was prepared perfectly. Pricing on the wines by the glass were very good and the selection was excellent. My business partner had the Seafood Pasta with squid ink spaghetti. He loved it and the spicy tomato sauce. There was plenty of perfectly cooked seafood. I had the roasted Sea Bass with Broccolini. So good! But what really got me was an add-on side of Seafood Mashed Potatoes. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was wonderful enough to be an entree by itself. Shrimp and Langostinos in an incredible cream sauce over buttery mashed potatoes (see pic). Desserts were also excellent. My business partner had what I think was a coconut crema, which he loved. I had two scoops of house made ice cream (vanilla and pistachio) with berries; also very, very good. I mentioned attention to details at the start. An example of this watching staff behind the bar polishing glasses. Polishing, not just washing. I watched one person spend almost 5 minutes polishing a single champagne class; constantly checking it for spots before putting in on the shelf. That's attention to detail!

As guests at the hotel--and with a snowstorm swirling outside--we especially appreciated having a restaurant of this caliber right downstairs. This is not a typical hotel coffee-shop setup. Mico delivers a true high-end dining experience that easily stands on its own. I had read that the menu carries an Argentinean influence, though that wasn't immediately obvious on my first pass. The offerings lean heavily into seafood while also featuring several prime beef options, giving the menu a nice range. Because it was the final weekend of Charlotte's Restaurant Week, my wife ordered the hanger steak, paired with lobster bisque and the North Carolina apple bread pudding. The steak had excellent flavor, a perfect char, and was cooked exactly as requested. The bisque was especially welcome on a cold night, though it was a bit heavier on salt than I prefer. The bread pudding, however, was a standout--so much so that we ordered a second. I went with the Pampas seared ahi tuna. The presentation was beautiful, and the sear was spot-on. The South American Parmesan fries were served hot and crisp, making them an easy favorite. Mico is the kind of restaurant that works equally well for locals seeking a polished night out and travelers who want a memorable meal without leaving their hotel. It's a strong dining destination in its own right.

Huge shout out to our server, Nas, who was on the ball all night. Thanks for a great evening! We started with a dozen sweet, plump oysters with very little brine. Exactly our style. Clean, fresh, and delicious. That flavor bomb I mentioned earlier? The pimento cheese fritters. This was seriously a mouth orgasm, yeah I said it. Crispy, spicy crust with warm pimento cheese oozing out of the center. Add the house made buttermilk dip and it's pure heaven. Everything else was top notch as well. Flavorful and tender calamari, freshly made clam chowder, seafood tagliatelle, and a wagyu burger that absolutely melts in your mouth with two smashed patties. One thing was better than the other. This place is definitely a staple anytime we're out in Charlotte.

There are tons of restaurants in the area, highly rated too, but I didn't feel like going into any of them. I kept walking and walking until I saw The Fifth Fork. Unlike every other restaurant in Charlotte, this one was empty and quiet; there were about 2 other guests in the whole restaurant when I walked in. I took a seat, not knowing what I was getting myself into at all. The menu is simple but delicious and seemed very fresh. I got the grouper. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. This restaurant is fancy but the staff is very personable and kind. To start off my meal, they gave me a complimentary bread roll. I will say, the bread wasn't the best because it was kind of stale, even though it was warm. I think it's just the texture of the bread that wasn't soft to begin with. One of the servers told me this restaurant will be changed into something completely different soon. Glad I got to try it when I did.
