Walked 2 miles from my place to come here specifically only to find that they were completely closed-not open til 8:30 like how it says on Google.

This was my first visit. The restaurant was very clean and neat but I noticed the health score was low. It was 92 but because it appeared clean and we were hungry we decided to give it a try. The food was very good. The servers were extremely nice and friendly. The food was fresh and good for the price. I'd go again but I'd like to see that score improve. It's in uptown so parking can be a bit of a challenge so I'd suggest using the parking app to find street parking unless you park in the Ally deck.

The ingredient options are so yummy and fresh that after the 1st bite you can't help but to close your eyes, sit back and go yummmm! I love all of the varieties so that everyone can create their own version of a perfect salad! Seriously the most delicious and fresh salads ever! Tip: This location is located in Uptown so you'll have to cross your fingers for street parking or pay for garage parking !

Finally got to check out Salata! Popped in really quick to pick up lunch and created a spinach and kale masterpiece. This spot is essentially a salad version of Chipotle, no complaints here. I enjoyed my build your own salad and whatever bread they give you with it was AMAZING! I was thinking about it for days after. I also tried the peach lemonade and that was really refreshing and tasty. A little pricey for a salad that wasn't from Chopt, but delicious. I think I paid about $21 before tip. I'd definitely return on payday. Great lunch spot!

Salata is a new salad bar in downtown Charlotte. Salata offers salads, wraps, soup and over 50 toppings to customize your meal. I decided to do the create your own salad in a regular size. I added the herb marinated chicken as a protein for 3.25. I didn't get the salad dressed but got the ginger lime dressing and the buttermilk ranch on the side. The salad was delicious. The herbed chicken is a great protein option. It was so flavorful and well seasoned. The ranch dressing wasn't my favorite. It has a strong dill taste. The ginger lime dressing was refreshing. The salad was very filling. The portion size is good and they don't skimp on the protein. Salata 601 S Tryon St 131 Ste 131 Charlotte, NC 28202 (Review 640 overall, 184 in 2021)

Good portion for the price. A regular salad with chicken and a fountain drink came out to $19, which is on par with other salad places like Sweetgreen or panera. But the portion was MUCH bigger than what you would get at those other places (I actually shared this salad and we both were satiated). Fresh, tasted great, and very nice workers. Clean and nicely furnished inside as well.

I was taking a late afternoon/early evening walk for my cardio and realized it was almost supper time. I remembered hearing about this salad bar a few weeks ago. I got there just before they closed. Amazing service, very helpful and patient as it was my first time here. David was very professional and kind. There are so many options. It was a bit overwhelming, but I loved that feature. I just got home not too long ago and my salad is so delicious. I put so many options inside I was a bit fearful it wouldn't taste right. But it's basically my personality as a salad haha. It also came with my choice of a multigrain croissant. I love croissants and the fact that it's multigrain, made it more enjoyable for me. I will be making a reel on this place very soon. Look out for it on Instagram @Prettiegyal

Best. Salad. Ever. Salata was my favorite salad spot back in Chicago so I'm extremely excited that they have opened one here! They have over 50 fresh toppings and a dozen signature dressings - my favorite dressing is the Balsamic Vinaigrette. It's much creamer than a regular Balsamic dressing. You're free to make your salad however you would like - a great option if you're looking to eat a little healthier. I'm case you're interested... My salad toppings include: 1/2 salata mix, 1/2 spinach, pesto chicken, tomato, cucumber, mushrooms, red onion, black olives, blue cheese, egg, pumpkin seeds, sesame sticks & balsamic vinaigrette dressing

I am going to give this place 5 stars although I do have a couple qualms. Overall the staff was awesome!! Super helpful and friendly and that is so important to me. I also loved the portion size; if I'm going to eat rabbit food I at least want a huge bowl that's going to fill me up and let me tell you this is the first time ever I took leftover salad home! They had tons of toppings to choose from! Downside--there's not much seating so you have to go at a good time. Also I like warm toppings on my salad, like roasted carrots, broccoli, etc instead of just cold veggies. But all in all great place for salad!

Come on a Wednesday during lunch and it was bustling. With that being said, we were in and out in no time and received the same attentive service from each and every employee. If if they were a little busy they said I'll be right with you to ensure we were acknowledged every step of the way. I love how many options there are to customize your meal. Soooo many choices and they don't skimp. If you want more or less of something you just let them know and they build your salad to your liking. The small salad is huge. We actually ended up sharing it. Even though it was busy, the moved quick and there were plenty of places to sit both inside and outside. I can't wait to come back here and try some of their soups, cookies and teas. This will easily because one of my favorite lunch spots in Charlotte.

Small salad: pesto chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, chickpeas, croutons, walnuts, jicama, some fruit, mixed cheeses, boiled egg, etc.

Overall the fruit was amazing and fresh though, just a bit impractical with the pineapple. Now the biggest reason I was unhappy with their catering was because when the dessert was served, they cut very few pieces and had them on the table for guests to grab. That's great, but those pieces were quickly gone and nobody was serving more pieces and the caterer didn't leave the little dessert plates on the table for people to serve themselves either. Secondly, while we sat down for dessert, the photographers yelled out that they wanted everyone on the dance floor for a quick group photo. After the photo was taken, I get back to my table and me and my husbands dessert is gone. The caterer was clearing all the tables as we took that photo which was so annoying since it took me forever to get a plate of dessert to begin with! Anyway, the foods not bad, just the way a few things were done was definitely the most memorable part of the wedding for me unfortunately.

There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.
