This place has really gone downhill. I was hoping after I complained to management last time they would walk back some of their awful changes. Went back today to get my free bowl and sadly it was even worse. Old dry brown rice, no more mixed grains. Chicken was dry too. No more chopping of larger ingredients so left with avocado and whole tortilla chips and no knives available. No more cucumber spa water. Overall food quality was horrible and no bread offered either. It's noon and no one here, used to be long lines. I've gotten takeout from here three times. They have a nice variety of lettuces and ingredients. I like that you can stick to most diets given the variety of ingredients as well. I get fresh squeezed lemon or lime and olive oil for dressing at no extra cost. I also like to get roasted vegetables in my salad. They use a handheld tool to cut through all the ingredients to get them into tiny pieces so you can get a mix of everything into one bite. Worth trying. read more

I mean. It was REALLY great when it first opened but this particular location has been hit or miss. We frequently went here during the pandemic and recently we had a door dash pick up order. They get my order a lot and this order was surprisingly correct. I've come in person and have seen the Mac and cheese look old and like a science experiment and then also seen it look decent enough to eat. Staff is friendly but some look like they really don't want to be there. Not likely. The ordering process is done by computer only, which are just steps inside the door. No discernible line, just a huge ottoman in the way. I can't even understand the reasoning behind it being there. It must be chaos at lunchtime. A small selection of small theme salads starting around $14 with add ons $1.50++, a couple of sandwich options around the same price point, a couple of bowl options with fish/rice/cauliflower, and a make your own salad option. The computer has a soup tab but none were available when I tried to order. Canned drinks, $2.50 and other options over $4. From the size salad I saw at the tables, this is not a price point I'm willing to pay. read more

We ordered two Southwestern steak salads for $39, which were advertised as having 32 grams of protein each. That claim was nowhere close to reality. Each salad had maybe two bites of steak on top of a bowl of limp, chopped lettuce. If you're looking for protein, you'll be disappointed--this was basically overpriced lettuce with a misleading label. If you're into paying premium prices for glorified rabbit food, this might be your spot, but otherwise, not worth it. read more

We def got to get one of these in Orland Park. Chopt Creative Salad is just like a Subway or a Chipotle ... but for salads. When you enter you can purchase one of their pre-made salads and add anything you want, or get in line and pass along the food cases and build yourself a salad from scratch. Besides a number of leafy green offerings for the base of your salad (for example, lettuce, spinach, kale, or a blend of those, etc.), you then have choices of all the usual toppings and some meats you might want ... like chicken. What stands out here is the variety of fresh ... everything is very fresh. Is it a bit pricey ... yes, but worth it for the freshness of the ingredients. At the end of the line, you choose your dressing and they toss your salad and chop it as fine as you want. They also offer drinks, snacks, and to-go bottles of the maybe 18 different dressings. Located in the Park Road Shopping Mall in Charlotte's Montford neighborhood ... a two block long strip mall with maybe two dozen retail outlets ... this Chopt franchise is handy and can get really busy. Luckily they are on the rim of a huge parking lot ... making it much easier to duck in and duck out. They do mainly takeout, but you can also get delivery. Eating healthy can be hard, so it is nice to see fast casual type places focused on providing quality healthy foods popping up. Chopt is one such place, focusing around salads and wraps with a chipotle style build your own option. I have eaten at a couple locations, and have always thought the food was decent but a little over priced. While it's true that eating out is getting more expensive in general, salad focused restaurants seem to take it to another level. I recently came into the Park Road Shopping center location. Two salads and 1 drink later and I'm out $35.00. I enjoyed my salad don't get me wrong but $15.00 per salad is what you would expect from a high end restaurants. Granted these salads are larger and ment to serve as a meal, but it still seems hard to justify. While I admire their business model, and will certainly stop by every now and then if I'm feeling health conscious, I don't know if the value is there for me to become a regular. I really love the flavors of chopt! You could either make your own, or pick one of their tasty salad concoctions. Very friendly and efficient service! I had their Chicken tinga warm bowl. You get a choice of either cauliflower rice or multigrain with your bowl and I opted for the multigrain! Very tasty and filling! Omgosh, so good after a workout. This was a great place to stop for lunch while you are out shopping at the park road shopping center. They had a lot of choices with mainly salads and a few bowls. Everything seemed very fresh and was made to order. They had an assembly line where they add items to your bowl, then at the end they chop it up for as long as you want to get everything mixed and chopped. I like that at the end they would ask you about the salad dressing and you could choose none, light, medium, or heavy. I thought the medium was a good amount and would choose that again. In my opinion I think anything lighter would not be enough dressing. There is also an optional free piece of bread with each meal, so although trying to be healthy, I of course went with free and got the bread. The salad was a very good size serving. With how the bowl is it is larger at the top and gets narrower as you go down, so after eating and eating it seemed like I didn't even make a dent in the salad, but the further you go the faster the salad goes. I am a little bit of a picky eater, and was not sure how to customize my salad, so choose a salad with only ingredients I like, but in the future I would like to customize my salad when I go. I also don't like their setup for sanitation reasons. Then they picked up a piece of bread with the same gloves that touched the screen and handed it to me without using any sort of paper or even putting it in a bag. Kind of gross. Upon my arrival I noticed they had completely closed off in door dining. Which I completely understood and respected! They had a few outdoor tables available at first come, first served and we were lucky enough to snag a table!!! It was a beautiful day out and our salads were super fresh and delicious! I created my own salad with kale, spinach, chicken, chickpeas, olives, tomatoes, goat cheese, pumpkin seeds and fresh squeezed lemon and lime juice for dressing. Mmmmm!
