Really love the pitas and bowls here. Stopped by after a soccer tourney. Staff gave great suggestions and the pita chips were great.

We loved the new salmon that was suggested by the staff. Also got the pita chips and they were fresh and crispy. We will be back soon.

The service sucks at this location. The staff and one young lady in particular rushes you through your line selections and makes sure they give you the least amount of options as possible, very skimpy. They are often out of order running low on items which further decreases the amount of food given. They act as if they are tired and wish you hadn't come in to bother them. Every time I visit the store is filthy, the ingredient cubbies, tables, countertops, drink area, and even the glass on the entry doors are filled with smudges. I love this as a healthier fast food option but this location needs improvement. read more

Great, healthy food and plenty of options for all. I built my own with greens & grains as a base and loaded on all the veggies two vegan sauces Skhug & Lemon Herb Tahini. The food was fresh and delicious. We also had an order of fried pita which was more amazing than you would expect. I definitely recommend getting at least an order of fried pita. The service was quick and friendly. We ended up taking the food to-go because the restaurant was FREEZING. It felt like I was in the freezer of a restaurant! All the food was tasty and well prepared. The best bite was the roasted eggplant. Smoky and delicious. We tried the all veggie bowl and a spicy chicken bowl. Both were good and we would order them again. I love the fact that they have soda and tea with real cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. The plastic use was minimal which is also nice. I don't know what is going on with the CAVA in Waverly, but the service here is consistently awful. Every single time I walk in, it feels like the employees go out of their way to avoid helping customers. As soon as you step through the door, they suddenly become so busy--doing everything except taking orders--leaving one person on the line to handle everyone, and that one person always has the worst attitude imaginable. If you hate your job that much, don't show up. Because what you're not going to do is take it out on paying customers who are literally keeping this place running. The employees are young, lazy, unprofessional, and have absolutely no sense of customer service. Ask them for anything and they hit you with a nasty look or an annoyed sigh, like you're bothering them by ordering off their own damn menu. The lack of training is glaring. They act like they know everything but can't even keep a straight attitude for five minutes. It honestly seems like their manager doesn't care either, because this has been going on for months, and I know I'm not the only one who's experienced it. I spend $45+ here multiple times a week, and the service is always garbage. Today was the final straw. I ordered two bowls--one for myself, one for my mom. Hers was a greens & grains bowl with everything else on the side--something I've ordered plenty of times. But today the guy on the line wanted to be smart and say, "So you want every single thing on the side?" in the most passive-aggressive tone. Looked me dead in the face with a whole attitude just because I asked him to do his job. And this is not a one-time thing. Every time I ask for something slightly "custom" (that is already an option), they act like I'm asking for the moon and stars. They don't greet you. They don't smile. They barely even speak unless it's with attitude. And it's not just one or two employees--it's the whole team. It really is not great. Have you ever eaten way undercooked black lentils? They have those here. It's kind of like how I would imagine aquarium pebbles would taste - hard on your teeth. Had a terrible experience recently at Cava Waverly. Ordered pickup on the app. Got our food home only to notice that they completely forgot the chicken and the pickled onions- which are standard for the harissa avocado. My husband confirmed with the lady at pickup that the order had pita bread. She said yes. When we got home there was no pita bread in the bag. The other bowl was not supposed to have pickled onions and did. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. There was no apology so I suggested that they remake the order - even though it would take us 40 minutes round trip to pick it up. When we got the second order back we opened the bowls to see that they had not put the dressing on the side like the original request. Instead they had poured what looked like half a bottle of dressing on our food. Disgusting. read more

This is the best Cava Went in today and ordered a grains bowl, Charisma was helping me out and she was amazing! She was so friendly and sweet, and when I asked her for extra chicken she GAVE ME SO MUCH EXTRA CHICKEN!!!! I think I got like 5 scoops of chicken on my bowl, unlike Chipotle when you ask for extra and they give you two and a half scoops instead of two smh The ingredients were so fresh and I enjoyed every bite. The lines for CAVA in NYC and Jersey City, NJ are usually outside the door. We loved going to Cava back there although the wait was long. Food and service is always excellent. We were so excited to see CAVA in Charlotte. Yesterday at this location the food was not good at all and didn't feel good after eating. The rice was hard and undercooked. The chicken we got was surprisingly tasteless. Less salt and seasoning I think. All toppings were like ice cold. The special drink apple, pineapple mint tasted like nothing. We had to throw it out and take something else. The person who served our bowls did it very aggressively, for example the dips like hummus, harissa etc are usually served at 3 corners of the bowl. Literally threw them all on top of each other. Did that with all toppings. Had an attitude, no smiles and does not pay attention to instructions. Walked out disappointed. Not going back. read more

the employees move very slow, i understand it gets busy but there was no urgency to service customers, but they had more than 3 people working behind the counter. they charge about 3 dollars if you get steak in your bowl, i got two bowls, barely even halfway filled. it cost 32.15. ive worked in food service my whole life, and i love cava but they never get the proportions right for it to cost so much. the kitchen also looked pretty disorganized and dirty. i didnt eat inside because i needed to go home but this was a very disappointing experience, this location was probably the worst cava ive been to. read more

I enjoy CAVA on the days when I'm craving a fast casual meal that is something healthy and also really delicious. My go-to here is a customized greens and grains bowl with lamb and lots of toppings. Unfortunately, this particular location is very inconsistent, specifically when it comes to service. I usually get my food as a pick up order and walk into the restaurant because I live nearby. On most occasions, I have to grab someone's attention and ask them for my food, which is usually put at the drive thru window. The last time I received my food, the paper to-go bag that held my food was covered in one of the sauces which had spilled inside before being handed over. Another employee had to be flagged down to replace the spilled sauce and nothing was done about the mess. It's really sad to see their general disregard for the customer experience. read more

From the name, I wasn't sure what to expect but I know that people have suggested Cava to me because it's supposed to be fresh, "healthy " and flavorful. When I went, I liked the variety on the menu and the smells coming from the kitchen. I decided to go with the Chicken Bowl and it was decent in terms of flavor and the presentation was nice BUT the chicken was luke warm and slightly overcooked. The RightRice seemed slightly stale and tasted earthy. Hmm! The atmosphere is average, the decor is clean and the customer service is average. I enjoy coming to this Cava on my lunch break often. The staff is very prompt and professional. I go here often and ill ask them how is their day going and other politeness and they really light up which I think they don't experience often enough. The restaurant is clean and well stocked. I love CAVA so much I drive 15+ miles when I have a craving! This location is pretty consistent now that covid restrictions are less. I always get the greens and grains bowl with falafel. Their crazy feta is a "must order" as it's absolutely delish! The falafel is generally crisp and tasty and the greens are always fresh. My partner loves the Honey Harissa Chicken and it's worth the up-charge. Be prepared for a wait in the pick up line, as orders are made fresh. (You must use the app to use pick up) but it's easy to use and you earn points toward future purchases. The app can be annoying as it logs you out every time it updates but otherwise it works well. Another great build your bowl Mediterranean spot! I got the greens and rice combo with falafel which is the vegetarian option and all the toppings. Be sure to get the three spreads, I like the eggplant which is babaganoush and red pepper and feta. Falafel was different but good, big chickpeas inside and not dry. The colors make it so instaworthy! All the ingredients were fresh and tasted great. The inside was open, clean, modern, with lots of seating. The cutlery was plant based plastic which I appreciate. The last few times me and my girlfriends went out for cava we all left disappointed but we tried this location closest to our workplace...It is soo good! The store is actually clean and we feel like we can take our lunch breaks there and feel good and refreshed afterwards.
