On a bustling evening without reservations, we waited 30 minutes for a table because of a mixup among the front of office staff. One host instructed us to wait in the seating area for the next available table, but another mistakenly assumed we were waiting for takeout and seated later arrivals first. Better communication here would elevate the experience. That said, the waiting area is warm and inviting, with soothing music that makes the time pass pleasantly. The ambience feels surprisingly upscale, more akin to a chic urban high rise than a strip mall eatery. For appetizers, we tried the highly recommended kibbeh, which didn't disappoint, and the meat pie, which I chose out of curiosity. The meat pie's bold flavours are an acquired taste and weren't my favorite, but worth trying for something different. The mango lemonade was a stand out - refreshing, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The lamb shanks braised in a rich tomato sauce, were the highlights of the meal, offering a delightful mix of acidity and umami that left me wanting more. Also had the mixed kebab of shrimp and lamb/beef mix which were delicious, served with saffron basmati rice and grilled vegetables. One hiccup worth noting: Our party of two was automatically charged an 18% gratuity despite a sign upon entry that states gratuity is added for larger parties 5 or more. That seemed inconsistent. What a find! I stumbled upon Roz last night and was very pleased with the quality of the food. I ordered chicken kababs for an entree and falafel bites for an appetizer. Both were very, very good! And then we ordered the Dubai chocolate cheesecake for dessert. All amazing! The chicken and rice were cooked perfectly. I was with a vegetarian, and she was very pleased with the options. They don't have alcoholic drinks, but they seem to be known for their juice options. The atmosphere is very casual. Reminded us a bit of a cafe. This location has been home to many restaurants over the years, but this is by far my favorite one yet. The food is absolutely to die for! First time, it was decent I felt nauseous afterward which is never a good sign. But I figured it could have been anything so I ordered again. Next time I ordered the Kofta Kebab (which I typically love) and it was just decent at best. The fries (I subbed out the rice) were oversalted and overall it was just a disappointing experience. This place has only been open for a few months and is absolutely amazing! I believe it is one of the only middle eastern restaurants who make their bread fresh in house! That alone is 10/10! To start off the service was amazing and our service was awesome and knew the entire menu! We went with a few appetizers and the mixed platter which was a good choice the food was so flavorful and delicious and cooked perfectly. We ordered lamb chops as well but I was not a huge fan as it didn't have the charred bite to it or too much flavor. Roz Grill is it! Fresh baked pillowy pita bread served steaming hot. Fresh made hummus, taboulleh and falafel--the falafel was perfect. Crispy on the outside and not too garlicky. The lamb kebab was amazing and the fattoush, in particular the toasted pita crisps, was just like home with the tangy dressing done just right. We could tell it was made same day...not refrigerated. And our boys thoroughly enjoyed the large portion of fresh warm pita and made from scratch tzatziki. The family meal entree was HUGE. We are big eaters but had leftovers to take home. The meat and rice were all again, so flavorful and just delicious. We did both the yellow rice and the white rice. Very distinct tastes and recommend getting both to anyone else. We also shared the Fattoush as an additional appetizer. Wow! Again fresh and flavorful! This newer spot, which opened this past summer, is very much a hidden gem! I was hesitant to try it, but I'm so glad I did. Everything I ordered was absolutely incredible. The babaganoush, kofta platter, and cauliflower were all wonderful-packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The fresh pita that accompanies the dips is soft, warm, and delicious. The cilantro rice was sooooo good!!!! I typically don't even care much for rice. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the service was fantastic. Located in the Arboretum Shopping Center next to Vicious Biscuit. Stopped in for a healthy lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this new Mediterranean spot. They were still in soft open phase during our visit but we were told the Grand Opening is coming soon with a more varied menu. For starters we went with the Mezza Plate which included Tabbouleh, Dolma (stuffed grape leaves), Hummus, Muhammara (walnut dip), Falafel, and house made pita. Also tried the Rapunzel's Dream drink from the juice bar. It was deliciously refreshing and full of muddled raspberry. Entrees were two Mixed Kebab plates including Chicken, Lamb, and Kofta (ground beef) for meat and choice of yellow basmati or Vegan Cilantro rice.
