The food here was hands-down amazing. Every dish we ordered was spectacular. The falafel were tender on the inside and crisp on the outside. The lamb kebab was also very delicious and cooked perfection. The service was very nice and the vibes were relaxed since we went for lunch. I definitely recommend getting the juices here because they were also fantastic. Highly recommend.

What a find! I stumbled upon Roz last night and was very pleased with the quality of the food. I ordered chicken kababs for an entree and falafel bites for an appetizer. Both were very, very good! And then we ordered the Dubai chocolate cheesecake for dessert. All amazing! The chicken and rice were cooked perfectly. I was with a vegetarian, and she was very pleased with the options. They don't have alcoholic drinks, but they seem to be known for their juice options. The atmosphere is very casual. Reminded us a bit of a cafe. The food was incredible, and I will be going back soon!

Imagine savoring Mediterranean cuisine without crossing the Atlantic. Roz delivers just that, brining a taste of the Mediterranean to your doorstep. On a bustling evening without reservations, we waited 30 minutes for a table because of a mixup among the front of office staff. One host instructed us to wait in the seating area for the next available table, but another mistakenly assumed we were waiting for takeout and seated later arrivals first. Better communication here would elevate the experience. That said, the waiting area is warm and inviting, with soothing music that makes the time pass pleasantly. The ambience feels surprisingly upscale, more akin to a chic urban high rise than a strip mall eatery. For appetizers, we tried the highly recommended kibbeh, which didn't disappoint, and the meat pie, which I chose out of curiosity. The meat pie's bold flavours are an acquired taste and weren't my favorite, but worth trying for something different. The mango lemonade was a stand out - refreshing, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The lamb shanks braised in a rich tomato sauce, were the highlights of the meal, offering a delightful mix of acidity and umami that left me wanting more. Also had the mixed kebab of shrimp and lamb/beef mix which were delicious, served with saffron basmati rice and grilled vegetables. One hiccup worth noting: Our party of two was automatically charged an 18% gratuity despite a sign upon entry that states gratuity is added for larger parties 5 or more. That seemed inconsistent. Overall, the service was good and the culinary experience was exceptional. I'm looking forward to my next visit - perhaps takeout only.

This is a hidden gem. The staff were friendly and the place is clean. There's plenty of parking in the shared parking lot outside. We went with the humus as an appetizer and I had the chicken. kebab as an entrée the food was fresh and delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This was a great Mediterranean spot! We stopped in for a casual dinner and were very impressed with the quality of the food. The lamb chops and baba ghanoush with warm pita were definitely the highlights, but my kofta kebab was also great!

Turkish coffee. Very strong and aromatic.

I did take out, but from what I could see in the restaurant, everything looked clean and uniformed. The actual food was flavorful with the vegetables being charred to perfection. Many different options available and food was made quickly.

Not worth the price for me. We spent nearly $100 on lunch for hummus, a chicken kabob, a kefta kabob, and a gyro. The chicken was overcooked, kefta was just okay, and the gyro wasn't traditional -- lamb chunks over rice, not shaved meat in pita. We also only got one piece of pita for the hummus. Extremely over priced for some protein and a lot of rice.

(if I could give higher, I would!) Nice atmosphere Reasonable prices Exceptional food If I lived in Charlotte, I'd be here every week!! It's locally owned and operated by Chef Ahmad Altaany from Jordan, just a family man who loves good food and sharing it with his community. Everything is scratch made from the pita to the sauces to the dolmas made by his mother in law! And they were the best I've eaten! Mezza Plate (HIGHLY recommended) Shakshuka (I make better) Garlic Dip w/ Pita (HIGHLY recommended) Fried Cauliflower (was ok) Spicy Potato (yum) Walnuts Baklava (delish) Cardamom Tea (so good)

"Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and rich inside. This kunafa is pure perfection."

Wow! This spot was awesome! Wish I would've known about this place sooner! The food was so fresh and delicious and the portions were so good. Drinks were good, but probably wouldn't bother with them next time. Loved how spacious and well decorated the interior was and can't wait to get back.

Family style Mediterranean restaurant. There are 10+ tables and a bar (no high seating). Our food was brought out fast. Falafel had great texture - the shell is crispy, but it would be better if less salty. Eggplant was the best, which came with pitas. Lamb shank was soaked in a flavorful tomato sauce, as a good companion to the cilantro rice.

Food and ambience is good, although on the pricey side. Some of the dishes had a sour taste more than we expected (spicy potatoes, salads, garlic sauce).

We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.

One of my favorite spots back then was Nick the Greek--the bowls were simple, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. So naturally, I went on a little search mission here to find something that could scratch that same itch. That's how I landed at Yaffo Kitchen. Close, but no cigar--but still very good. I visit both the Dilworth location off East Boulevard and the Plaza Midwood spot fairly often, and they've become dependable places when I'm craving Mediterranean flavors. The atmosphere is casual, bright, and welcoming. I especially appreciate the option to sit inside when it's blazing hot outside, and when the weather is nice, their covered patio with umbrellas is a great place to linger over a meal. Now let's talk about the schnitzel--because that's the star for me. I know schnitzel isn't the first thing people expect at a Mediterranean-style restaurant, but they do it right. It's made to order, thin, crispy, and coated in panko, served with a fresh slice of lemon that brings everything together. I usually pair it with a side salad, but if the mac and cheese is piping hot that day, that's my backup plan. Another thing I really enjoy is their drink selection. They carry Tractor beverages--non-carbonated organic teas made with cane sugar and no high-fructose corn syrup or preservatives. There are several flavors to choose from, and they're refreshing without being overly sweet. It's a small detail, but one I genuinely appreciate. I've also had the roasted chicken, which was surprisingly excellent--juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being heavy. And the pita? Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. One lesson I've learned the hard way: edit yourself when building a bowl. The first few times I went, I got excited and piled on too many toppings, and everything blended into one big, goopy situation where you couldn't really taste anything distinctly. It's like wearing all your favorite accessories at once--individually they're beautiful, but together they compete with each other. Less really is more here, and once you find the right balance, the flavors shine. Prices are reasonable for the quality, service is quick, and the restaurants are consistently clean and well-run. I believe they offer beer and wine as well, though I usually stick to the teas. While I'm still on the hunt for that exact bowl I used to love back in California--simple, balanced, and unforgettable--Yaffo Kitchen has definitely earned a regular spot in my rotation. Check it out, experiment with the menu, find your palate's favorites, and remember: life is too short not to eat well.
