This was my 1st time eating here & I'll definitely be back. The ambiance was very nice. The server Jessica was very knowledgeable of the menu & made good recommendations. Service was great. I ordered the lamb & shrimp skewer with both rice options. The only negative I have is theres no lunch menu. I paid $33 for my food, which to me is what I'd pay for dinner.
I stopped by when I visited Charlotte in May. The food was so delicious. Great portions flavorful and fresh. The waitress Jessica was nice and explained the menu well. The restaurant was clean and decorated well.
I've had Roz Grill a few times and it's always so good!! This time was at one of their pop-ups at my friends work event. They were set up in their campus cafeteria and had a nice spread available for purchase. It was a version of their chicken platter, I think, and it was really good. I had a little bit of everything.
For a casual restaurant, this is one of the tops! And I thought ppl were just recommending the lamb chops because that's what everyone orders, but they truly are amazing! Even the rice was great! Pita bread was so warm and fresh! Baba ghanoush was very good as well!
Imagine savoring Mediterranean cuisine without crossing the Atlantic. Roz delivers just that, brining a taste of the Mediterranean to your doorstep. On a bustling evening without reservations, we waited 30 minutes for a table because of a mixup among the front of office staff. One host instructed us to wait in the seating area for the next available table, but another mistakenly assumed we were waiting for takeout and seated later arrivals first. Better communication here would elevate the experience. That said, the waiting area is warm and inviting, with soothing music that makes the time pass pleasantly. The ambience feels surprisingly upscale, more akin to a chic urban high rise than a strip mall eatery. For appetizers, we tried the highly recommended kibbeh, which didn't disappoint, and the meat pie, which I chose out of curiosity. The meat pie's bold flavours are an acquired taste and weren't my favorite, but worth trying for something different. The mango lemonade was a stand out - refreshing, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The lamb shanks braised in a rich tomato sauce, were the highlights of the meal, offering a delightful mix of acidity and umami that left me wanting more. Also had the mixed kebab of shrimp and lamb/beef mix which were delicious, served with saffron basmati rice and grilled vegetables. One hiccup worth noting: Our party of two was automatically charged an 18% gratuity despite a sign upon entry that states gratuity is added for larger parties 5 or more. That seemed inconsistent. Overall, the service was good and the culinary experience was exceptional. I'm looking forward to my next visit - perhaps takeout only.
The food here was hands-down amazing. Every dish we ordered was spectacular. The falafel were tender on the inside and crisp on the outside. The lamb kebab was also very delicious and cooked perfection. The service was very nice and the vibes were relaxed since we went for lunch. I definitely recommend getting the juices here because they were also fantastic. Highly recommend.
What a find! I stumbled upon Roz last night and was very pleased with the quality of the food. I ordered chicken kababs for an entree and falafel bites for an appetizer. Both were very, very good! And then we ordered the Dubai chocolate cheesecake for dessert. All amazing! The chicken and rice were cooked perfectly. I was with a vegetarian, and she was very pleased with the options. They don't have alcoholic drinks, but they seem to be known for their juice options. The atmosphere is very casual. Reminded us a bit of a cafe. The food was incredible, and I will be going back soon!
This is a hidden gem. The staff were friendly and the place is clean. There's plenty of parking in the shared parking lot outside. We went with the humus as an appetizer and I had the chicken. kebab as an entrée the food was fresh and delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
This location has been home to many restaurants over the years, but this is by far my favorite one yet. The food is absolutely to die for! We ordered the baba ghanoush, whipped feta, chicken kabob plate, greek salad, and the berry minty mood drink! Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance made it a place you instantly want to settle into and enjoy. It's clear a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. This has quickly become one of my new favorite spots, and I can't wait to come back!
This was a great Mediterranean spot! We stopped in for a casual dinner and were very impressed with the quality of the food. The lamb chops and baba ghanoush with warm pita were definitely the highlights, but my kofta kebab was also great!
I did take out, but from what I could see in the restaurant, everything looked clean and uniformed. The actual food was flavorful with the vegetables being charred to perfection. Many different options available and food was made quickly.
Not worth the price for me. We spent nearly $100 on lunch for hummus, a chicken kabob, a kefta kabob, and a gyro. The chicken was overcooked, kefta was just okay, and the gyro wasn't traditional -- lamb chunks over rice, not shaved meat in pita. We also only got one piece of pita for the hummus. Extremely over priced for some protein and a lot of rice.
Food was very good and fresh. The service was great and the ambiance wonderful. If you like Mediterranean food the you must try ROZ grill.

I ordered from here through our workplace lunch-box service. Everything arrived fresh and on time, but unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the flavors. I didn't want yellow rice, so I ordered the potatoes and cauliflower as my sides. The sides were $9 each, and the portions were very generous. However, both needed more seasoning or salt. The chicken, on the other hand, was a little too salty and had several burned pieces. I understand that some people enjoy charred chicken, but this was too much char for my preference. I also strongly prefer white meat and assumed the kebabs would be made with chicken breast, but they contained a mixture of white and dark meat. Garlic sauce is usually my favorite part when ordering from similar restaurants, but I did not enjoy the garlic sauce here. It tasted more like sour cream mixed with garlic, which was unusual and not what I expected. The cauliflower was also different from what I anticipated. I expected battered, fried cauliflower, but it appeared to be a large piece of plain cauliflower dipped directly into hot oil. There was also a significant amount of oil pooled at the bottom of the container. Overall, the portions were generous and the delivery was timely, but the flavors and preparation just weren't for me. read more

(if I could give higher, I would!) Nice atmosphere Reasonable prices Exceptional food If I lived in Charlotte, I'd be here every week!! It's locally owned and operated by Chef Ahmad Altaany from Jordan, just a family man who loves good food and sharing it with his community. Everything is scratch made from the pita to the sauces to the dolmas made by his mother in law! And they were the best I've eaten! Mezza Plate (HIGHLY recommended) Shakshuka (I make better) Garlic Dip w/ Pita (HIGHLY recommended) Fried Cauliflower (was ok) Spicy Potato (yum) Walnuts Baklava (delish) Cardamom Tea (so good) read more
Family style Mediterranean restaurant. There are 10+ tables and a bar (no high seating). Our food was brought out fast. Falafel had great texture - the shell is crispy, but it would be better if less salty. Eggplant was the best, which came with pitas. Lamb shank was soaked in a flavorful tomato sauce, as a good companion to the cilantro rice. read more
Wow! This spot was awesome! Wish I would've known about this place sooner! The food was so fresh and delicious and the portions were so good. Drinks were good, but probably wouldn't bother with them next time. Loved how spacious and well decorated the interior was and can't wait to get back. read more
This place has only been open for a few months and is absolutely amazing! I believe it is one of the only middle eastern restaurants who make their bread fresh in house! That alone is 10/10! To start off the service was amazing and our service was awesome and knew the entire menu! We went with a few appetizers and the mixed platter which was a good choice the food was so flavorful and delicious and cooked perfectly. We ordered lamb chops as well but I was not a huge fan as it didn't have the charred bite to it or too much flavor. The mocktails were delicious I got to try a few flavors and they all tasted really good and not too sweet! Would definitely return to try more items on their menu! read more

Food and ambience is good, although on the pricey side. Some of the dishes had a sour taste more than we expected (spicy potatoes, salads, garlic sauce). read more

The search for good Middle Eastern food in Charlotte is finally over and it ends right here. I've been looking for decent Middle Eastern food since moving from Detroit area 16 years ago. Roz Grill is it! Fresh baked pillowy pita bread served steaming hot. Fresh made hummus, taboulleh and falafel--the falafel was perfect. Crispy on the outside and not too garlicky. The lamb kebab was amazing and the fattoush, in particular the toasted pita crisps, was just like home with the tangy dressing done just right. The owner stopped by, always a nice touch, and the staff was incredibly friendly. read more

Great first time experience! Our serve seemed a little green but she was kind and did her best. We ordered the mezze platter and entrees and all were very good. One piece of feedback would be how the present their salads; I had the fattoush salad and it was jam packed into a small bowl, it would be much easier to eat on a large plate. Overall it was good and we will be back! read more

My husband and I ordered Roz through uber eats. This was the best to go order of the night! We ordered the lamb chops on top of rice with (tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and feta salad and grilled purple onion. The lamb chops were so tasty and tender! We will definitely order from them again. read more

Roz's service was mid although we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food took over 20 minutes to come out. The kabobs weren't well seasoned. But the rice was fresh. There was a nice char on the veggies. The prices ranged in the $20s for each meal. read more

I'm going to start off by saying our family was blown away! Also be sure to make a reservation in advance. The restaurant is modern, clean, open and bright. We sat inside, but noticed they have a beautiful outdoor area at the back of the restaurant which we look forward to experiencing our next visit. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy and we weren't in a huge rush. However our server was friendly and gave us her full attention when at our table. The juice bar is an experience you don't want to miss out on. While pricey, they are so fresh, flavorful, refreshing and unique! Definitely worth the $. Our family of 4 ordered the family meal which included chicken, lamb, and beef; rice, grilled veggies, and choice of 2 appetizers. For apps we chose the tzatziki and the dolma. Best dolma ever!! We could tell it was made same day...not refrigerated. And our boys thoroughly enjoyed the large portion of fresh warm pita and made from scratch tzatziki. The family meal entree was HUGE. We are big eaters but had leftovers to take home. The meat and rice were all again, so flavorful and just delicious. We did both the yellow rice and the white rice. Very distinct tastes and recommend getting both to anyone else. We also shared the Fattoush as an additional appetizer. Wow! Again fresh and flavorful! Rozz Grill became one of our family's top 3 restaurants in the CLT area. Thank you for the wonderful experience and we look forward to returning! read more

Beautiful inside . Great menu with lots of choices. Will have to return to try more . Had the gyro with yellow basmati rice. Lots of meat. Great service . I'd only recommend that they take off the dark window tape . You can't see in the restaurant from the outside. Showing the interior from the outside would be more welcoming. 10/31/24 read more

LOVE this new Mediterranean spot! An authentic Arabic taste but very modern at the same time. Service was OUTSTANDING! The appetizers were excellent and so were our main dishes. The kofta was my favorite and the yellow rice is melt in your mouth. Definitely try the hot mint tea, Turkish coffee, and juices...all were great. Hope this restaurant sticks around for a while, it's a great addition to the food scene in Charlotte. read more

Located in the Arboretum Shopping Center next to Vicious Biscuit. Stopped in for a healthy lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this new Mediterranean spot. They were still in soft open phase during our visit but we were told the Grand Opening is coming soon with a more varied menu. For starters we went with the Mezza Plate which included Tabbouleh, Dolma (stuffed grape leaves), Hummus, Muhammara (walnut dip), Falafel, and house made pita. Also tried the Rapunzel's Dream drink from the juice bar. It was deliciously refreshing and full of muddled raspberry. Entrees were two Mixed Kebab plates including Chicken, Lamb, and Kofta (ground beef) for meat and choice of yellow basmati or Vegan Cilantro rice. I have to say we were impressed by the flavors of the food and the tenderness of the meats. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I am definitely looking forward to returning to explore the full menu which I hear may include salmon kababs! Perfect quaint eatery to get full, maintain healthy food choice options, and be greeted by friendly and helpful staff. read more
This newer spot, which opened this past summer, is very much a hidden gem! I was hesitant to try it, but I'm so glad I did. Everything I ordered was absolutely incredible. The babaganoush, kofta platter, and cauliflower were all wonderful-packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The fresh pita that accompanies the dips is soft, warm, and delicious. The cilantro rice was sooooo good!!!! I typically don't even care much for rice. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the service was fantastic. I can't wait to return and highly recommend giving this place a try! read more
