I love giving 5-star reviews! It hurts my heart to give less than 5-stars but it really helps to separate the greats from the poor, okay and good places. I can confidently say after my first visit that Cava in Chandler is great! My wife and I stopped here on a whim looking for food in the area on our way home. She remembered I wanted to try Cava and she was down, so we popped in around 7:30 on the Thursday night. Wow...the place was packed! That's always a good sign. I hadn't done my homework on what they offer, but the employees were more than gracious to go over their selections and the ingredients and toppings they have. They recommended a custom bowl and that's what I ordered. You can also order wraps and pitas. I packed my bowl with so many things I'm going to leave quite a few out due to geezer brain, but I got white rice as my base and spicy lamb + grilled chicken as my main proteins. I added red pepper hummus and harissa in my bowl, then a ton of veggies like olives, avocado, onion, cucumber, pickles, etc. I added lentils and topped it with a spicy sauce. My wife got the sweet potato base with lettuce/greens base. We also got a side of pita chips. The drink fountain has Maine Root sodas! That may be disappointing if you're a Coke or Pepsi only person, but I haven't had Maine Root in years and was super excited to get the blueberry soda again. I also sampled their root beer and it's amazing. Cava has unique craft drinks as well like a tangerine aleppo (also sampled...really good) and an assortment of limeaid/lemonades and teas. The interior was spacious enough that we could navigate around the crowds and find an open table. The tables and interior were clean, especially for the end of the day where many restaurants can be a work in progress on the cleanliness side. We had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more entrees and drinks! Thanks Cava Chandler!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I've been told it's an upgraded Chipotle. I ordered the glazed salmon bowl. It's actually quite yummy. I like the decor, the lighting, the wooden furniture. Only thing is it's a little pricey, like a bowl costs $17.

I've been here twice and both times my bowls are half full. And I select a majority of the toppings. Other locations don't skimp on their servings. Does my bowl look like the advertising photos? Nope. It's barely half full. For the price this isn't acceptable.

Drink - Pineapple apple mint drink - Love their food. Full of flavor. Their pineapple apple mint drink was tasty. I couldn't compare it to anything else at the time, but I could taste the basil. It is described online as following: pineapple apple mint - 160 Cal, this super refreshing juice is made in-house with pineapple, apple cider, fresh mint, and lime juice. The lime is why I thought it was a lemonade. I could still call it a limeade. It was thirst quenching and refreshing. Atmosphere - Quite a few people there at lunch time. No strange or strong odors or smells. No music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. Service - There were about three or four employees. The service here has been quick. Order and pay at the counter. Self seating. Quick service for take out orders. Some places take a long time for take out orders. I went to a breakfast place and while their app showed the progress it took forever to get to the completion stage even during a non-busy hour. I was surprised since it was for pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon. Cava was great, especially since I was in a hurry but was really thirsty. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures. Wish there was covered parking. Nothing unique add at this time. Did not see a health rating on Yelp. Seemed clean and organized when I visited.

Absolutely delicious, I'm shocked I've never tried cava until now. The food is amazing and I felt like the portion size was good for the price. It is a little spendy but it is so worth it for the quality. The interior at this location is nothing special. It's your typical quick dining experience. I thought the workers were kind and it was clean inside. They also have a ton of different drink options that most places do not so that was fun to try as well!

My first experience with CAVA was actually in Maryland. I am sooooo glad CAVA is finally here in Arizona and I finally made it!!!! Nothing has changed and the flavor was just the way I remember it! The portion size is great even for to-go. When I got home (20 minutes), the food still tasted great! The pita bread was crispy. All of the sauces were delicious. With so many options on the app, I was worried that the ordering process would be complex, but it was easy to follow through. I was only in the dining area for a brief moment and someone already saw me and told me I can grab my order at the pick up area. It was a smooth process. The aroma of the dining area...oh, it smelled so great! It's clean and tidy too!

This was ok, and took care of my hunger. I ordered the build your own pita. I immediately wished I had done the bowl with rice instead. I wasn't crazy about the texture of the pita. It was thick and puffy. The harissa chicken was good and fairly spicy. I loved all the toppings. It was packed with cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes etc... it was all tasted great in the bowl with rice! Service and atmosphere were ok.

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while but haven't had a chance to until now. I thought it would be a restaurant but it's actually more of a casual fast food spot with a dining area inside and out on the patio. I hadn't looked it up so it was a surprise to find out they offered Mediterranean style food. Ordering was fast and easy. The portions were quite generous and the pita wraps were very large! We ordered greek chicken and crispy falafel pita wraps and a side order of spicy lamb meatballs. Everything was quite tasty so I'm sure we'll be back again! The spicy lamb meatballs were spiced with seasonings and not spicy (hot) for anyone that might be concerned. The prices weren't overly high and seemed fairly reasonable for what we received. We weren't wanting any sides so this was just about what we needed at the time so we actually didn't overeat as we probably would have under normal circumstances. I think we just walked in after a large group departed so the tables weren't wiped down yet. The rest of the tables were kind of a mess but we were able to find a clean one. Parking is easy and just outside the front entrance. There are several dining places in the area so it might get a little crowded depending on the day and time. They're conveniently located for us to get to easily. I'm sure we'll be back again for more now that we know what to expect. Go check them out as I'm sure you'll find something on their menu that will hit the spot.

    Harissa Chicken Avocado bowl
    Nicki M.

First timer here after I have consistently heard people rave about this place. You can build your own bowl or pita, or choose from one of the prebuilt options on the menu. I chose to go with the harissa chicken avocado bowl and added extra chicken. The bowl is good and has a lot of stuff in it... greens, basmati rice, corn, avocado, pickled onions, cucumbers and some hummus. Some of the scoop sizes are kind of small, so certain flavors got lost in this bowl such as cucumber. Overall the flavor is really good and I would come back for this. Service was a bit slow for a "fast med. food" option but seems like they're still figuring things out. This is a great quick option packed with a lot of flavor and fairly healthy.

This is crazy! Third time a charm? NOPE- what's interesting about this visit is that the lady infront of me was also gripping about the portions of the spoons. How is this place still in business. I took a picture of my $16 dollar bowl and no I didn't task for less food.. I actually asked for two scoops of rice and was given it. The picture is exactly what I ordered and it looks like more than what's it is in person

We order lunch delivery from Cava often and haven't been disappointed. Delivery service is quick. Easy to order online. Food is flavorful and you can have it made exactly the way you want it. Good fast casual option.

CAVA is a casual dining restaurant that offers healthy made-to-order food with a middle eastern theme. They offer bowls and pitas that can be made either with meat or vegetarian. The flavors are unique and they offer toppings and sauces that are usually difficult to find in this type of setting. I have had both pitas and bowls before, and found both to be very filling and reasonably priced. The falafel tends to work well in a pita and the greek chicken is a fantastic bowl. I even like the diet soda made by maine root since it doesn't have aspartame and tastes great. They have other beverages and teas that are equally healthy and tasty. This particular location was a little tight with indoor seating, but it works okay this time of year. The service was good and the portions were rather large. CAVA is a nice healthy option if you are looking for good flavors and creative options.

Most baba ganoush I've tasted in my hometown also had a smokey flavor to it from the eggplant so it really couldn't compare.

So if you're the kinds who wants a good burger or short rib, vs something you'd get at brunch - just got for dinner here, as the sides vary too, you wont get Mac and cheese for lunch or brunch as a side..so watch out for that before "walking in" like we did!

Their smashed potatoes is a religious moment, and their pickled onions will inspire you to make you own. The Morning Board, one of their more unique offerings, is great to share if you have a larger group. And the service? We had played Scrabble one morning, and then went on vacation, missing a couple Saturdays. The next Saturday morning we walked in the doors, one of the lovely servers ran up to us with a Scrabble letter we had unknowingly dropped three weeks prior. She helped save the integrity of our Scrabble game and we are eternally grateful. Everyone who works there is wonderful and so friendly. We've had lovely conversations with many of the servers, as well as one charming member of the kitchen staff who was particular proud of that morning's hollandaise (as he should be). The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The place radiates "local gem", from the small vendors you can buy from (they have shelves with lots of fun items for purchase) to the tiny library you can borrow or add to (we've done both) to the thoughtful music artist montage on the wall (can you name all the artists? It's harder than you think!). The music is a perfect vibe - loud enough to enjoy and groove to, but not too loud you can't hear the people you're with. So put on your favorite concert tee and check it out!

There was only one other couple in the restaurant . I noticed to go orders and DoorDash orders were being picked up while we were waiting for our orders. By the time we left, there was a line. It didn't take very long for our orders to be prepared. It was promptly delivered to our table. The first thing I noticed was the lack of meat in my Berliner. It didn't come close to the amount of meat I saw in several photos on Yelp. After I bit into my wrap, all I could taste were the vegetables. It took a few bites before I tasted just a hint of meat. This was very disappointing. I was meat hungry and I wanted something healthy with a good portion of meat. I wasn't getting it here. A total letdown! The first thing my wife commented on her Street Car donor was how dry it was. Where was the sauce? She had to ask for tzatziki sauce. I took a bite of hers and at least she had more meat than I had. She told me I could have her other half. She was impressed to say the least! Did we come on an off day? Was there someone new in the back? I suggest they weigh out the meat each and every time to keep it consistent. It was not the experience we were expecting! Did anyone experience something similar?

And one order of nachos with blackened chicken. And an order of buffalo shrimp. My husband and I love shrimp and we have never seen buffalo shrimp. We ordered the mild because sadly I can't handle any heat. It's ridiculous I know. Anyways, I only ate two because it was kind of hot for me. It was me not them. And I really liked it. I would like to try some again if they weren't as hot. My husband, was probably Happy because he ended up eating the rest of them himself. Lol. We all loved the nachos. I liked the ones with the ground beef Best. And my boys and husband loved the blackened chicken nachos. My four guys all had burgers and fries. No complaints and no leftovers. So I think that went good. I ordered the sirloin with the smashed red potatoes and Parmesan toast. I ate every bite of the steak. I couldn't finish the potatoes. I could tell you they tasted delicious though. Sadly, nowhere near our house or else we would go again and often. I only remembered to take one picture after I drained it in A1, which is my preference. But there's a picture. The staff were Uber friendly. Overall, we would definitely return. I only had one complaint. Do not get ice water. It was the most disgusting water I've ever tasted. I ended up asking for a bottle of water because I couldn't even sip the water after I even drowned it in lemon. They need to do something about that. It's gross.
