I have been a regular at cava since the first time I tried it! The quality at this location is giving the brand a horrible reputation. I am usually able to overlook the fact that my meal is always a different price despite me LITERALLY GETTING THE SAME THING EVERY TIME, but this last encounter was too much. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, they responded by saying that employees must not be ringing things incorrectly.. no empathy or accountability was held & I was still told to pay for my overpriced bowl. Not only was the rice in my bowl stale, but I found a piece of plastic mixed in w my pickled onions. I was soo looking forward to enjoying my cava bowl when I got off work but now, because they are closed, not only have I wasted my money but I have to find/ cook something else to eat. I'm a chipotle fan. Always have been and don't plan to stop, however, my boyfriend loves Cava and wanted me to try it. The photo I'm submitting probably doesn't help because I dove into the food and mixed it all up before I remembered to get a photo but the food was so good. Portions are comically tiny. It didn't used to be like this. People complain about Chipotle's serving sizes, but in comparison Chipotle servings are a feast and Cava is war rationing. I'm not kidding. Bezoria is literally right around the corner so there is no reason to literally ever come here. I will not be back. Food is tasty. But, the staff is rude, unprofessional and they really could care less. I ordered online, said would be ready at 1130am, I didn't get my food until 12p. I wasn't alone, multiple people complained about the same issue. Staff was slow, you could see them eating. I waited patiently only to have food cold and sloppy. Picture below. This was disappointing. The lentils were hard, and the portion sizes were shallow. My bowl was half full not quite what I expected. When I asked about how little was in the bowl, the guy said that they are challenged by management on the portions that they gave, and if he gave me a little more, he would have to charge more. The cashier picked up the pita bread with her hand and put it in a bag and then continued to ring the register. Won't return there. It was shift change, and the line was out the door. This was my first experience at this location and I was please. I was reluctant after reading the negative reviews; however, I decided to give it a try. The I got a falafel and roasted vegetables bowl and all of the ingredients were fresh. They did not skimp on the ingredients. I never am the one to leave a bad review for a restaurant but this was undoubtedly the worst experience I might have ever had. I went to cava because I love the food, however, I was met with the most unprofessional service I have ever witnessed. When I walked in I was about 15 ppl back in line. When I finally made it to the front, I made it halfway through my order when they said we're waiting on more chicken it'll be just a minute. So I said no worries. 8-10 min later they finally put chicken out. In that time, the employees weren't behind the counter; they went to the back or they went to the side of the restaurant, were singing, dancing, and paid zero attention to the customers. Eventually I sat down and just observed. It only got worse. Over ten people stood and waited in line and for their to go orders for over 20 min, again while the employees continued to crack jokes with each other. I counted 10 people walk out of the restaurant. They even messed up one persons order and the employee turned around and burst into laughter. The shame is that because Cava is such a massive chain I don't expect much to come of this as every location is different. Management could easily look at the video and see their staff goofing off instead of helping customers. They would also clearly see all of their customers walk out of the restaurant. Very sad to see a great restaurant chain be diluted with such disrespectful employees who don't care about paying customers. read more

This review is for my 3rd and last time at this Cava location. I rarely leave reviews and when I do, they are mainly to rave about my great experience. However, this one is not a happy review. First of all, the customer service is subpar at best. It seems like there is little to no management oversight whatsoever at this location. There is no organization. There was one person making the orders and another person on the register. Then at some point, register guy turned into "making food" guy. No change of gloves or concern for sanitation. At one point, I saw one of the servers dip his hand into the lettuce bag to put spinach in the bowl of the person in front Mr me. What??!? Then register guy was at the order post when it finally was my turn order. He literally just stared at me. No greeting or anything. I even said "hello" and paused for his response. Nothing. He just looked at me like he was confused about why I was there. I ordered the Harissa avocado bowl with arugula instead of the power greens. He added the rice and arugula then stared at me. I then repeated my order because outside of the arugula, I made no changes to the Harissa avocado bowl. Then the finale...he covered my bowl, put the dressing on top, rang it up, then walked back to the ordering section without saying anything. I didn't even know he had rung it up. I paid and had to get my own bag. If I wasn't so hungry I would have left that bowl right on the counter and walked out. The food at Cava is typically good, but it's not worth the rudeness and slowness of the staff. Even with 3 people on the food line it took forever to get my food. It's hard to continue spending money in a place that literally acts like they could care less if you're there. I WISH I COULD LEAVE NO STARSSS!!!!!! THE ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! A RUDE employee named TK was extremely loud, disrespectful and unprofessional. He greeted me by saying, "AYE, you gonna pay for that?!" when I was reading the beverage bottles. I was on the phone with my MOTHER when he yelled, "Aye! No phones in the line!" When I checked him on it, he argued back and forth with me and talked about me to his other rude co-worker who had the white rubber bands in his hair as well as in front of other customers. I was really sad to see Zoes Kitchen close, but I'm happy to see the location was taken over by Cava. I'm a really big fan of the make your own bowl concept especially with fresh ingredients. There are tons of fresh selections to choose from here. The young man who helped me was very polite and patient as I made my selections. He also gave me some recommendations as well. For my bowl I decided to do greens and grains for my base (splendid greens & right rice), for my dips I choose tzatziki & hummus (you can select 3), for my protein I selected grilled chicken, for my toppings I selected pickled onions, feta, tomato cucumber salad, and kalamata olives. For my dressing I selected the lemon herb tahini. My bowl was delicious and very filling. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. I will definitely be returning in the near future. read more

Let me start off by saying my first visit to this location was amazing. I went on a Saturday afternoon and got the best service. I was a little hesitant in the beginning to give this place a try because I was still in my feelings about ZOE's not being here anymore. The food was amazing. I got the Chicken Rightrice bowl I made some adjustments to avoid the onions and feta cheese. The food was amazing as I mentioned before. I was so thrilled to return this is where the story gets interesting ..... So I returned to my newly found spot earlier this week. I was so excited to get the same bowl I got last time because like I said the food was amazing. It's very rare that I have a bad experience. If you read my reviews for the most part I always have some of the best customer service well not this particular day. So I went into Cava. Sometimes you can't tell if People are ordering or waiting around. So I'm up next and most times you are greeted like" hi how can I help you". Instead of letting me know she was ready she just stared at me so I proceed to say Hi , and place why order. This is where the attitude starts. She then says " what do you want" I tell her again and ask if we can go with a different rice option. She then turns around and with an attitude goes " which one" so at this point sis has to be having a bad day so I ask .. are you having a good day with a smile. Her response with the same attitude, Yea you lololol .. (I'm like ok yikesss) So as we continue she builds my bowl just slapping my food in the bowl!! I was like yea I'll definitely be praying over this when I get home lol. She was rude until the very end but then told me to have a good day Lolol. I understand sometimes people have a bad day and always try to extend grace but mannnn come on. My best friend has been trying to get me to try Cava for over a year now. Prior to this location opening the closest location was near perimeter mall. While o do occasionally go to that area, I never found myself in need of a meal when I was in the proximity of that location. When I realized that Zoe's Kitchen was being replaced with Cava I was actually excited for the change. I had the pleasure of dining at this spot on the one-launch day. My first meal was a bowl that I created. If you have never been to CAVA think chipotle with healthier options. For example, the base of my bowl was started with super greens( cabbage, chicory,Brussels sprouts, broccolini and kale) , and black lentils! I did get my bowl to go. When I arrived home I devoured my meal! The food was fresh, and the combination of all the flavors worked. The staff on pre-launch day told me I would be back. She was correct! The following week I dinned at Cava for lunch and dinner a total of 3 times. It's an easy way to get your carbs, protein and veggies in a meal. The reason for the average rating??? I picked up a bowl at this spot again yesterday. I can already tell that it's headed for disaster. The employees were not welcoming and the drink area was in disarray. I hate that this place is already on the decline so soon. One last thing, the salted Dark Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies are very good! Don't get addicted to them! read more

I don't normally leave food reviews but this was a particularly awful experience. In fact, I regretted my decision to go as soon as I entered the doors, but I had already ordered online. There was a palpable tension in the air. A group of people standing off to the side, all waiting for to-go orders. And then a line to the door of people waiting to order. I asked one woman how long she'd been standing there waiting on her order and she said 40 minutes. I showed up at my pick-up time with nothing completed. I didn't mind waiting but I was there another 35 minutes watching the manager aimlessly wander and laugh around. And the staff just seemed clueless. They rudely serviced customers in line and kept throwing bowls left and right to the point where they'd be mixing up the customers standing right before them. All of the workstations were filthy. When customers waiting before me expressed their frustration, the manager was less than helpful. She stormed around the restaurant angrily while talking about the customers directly in their faces. When I finally got my food, it was so cold and sloppily thrown together in a haste, which I didn't understand because I had already been waiting there so long and I was not making a fuss about it at all. Also, no one thought to tell me that they were out of falafel, which I paid extra for, and hummus. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I will not return. read more

I recently saw a name change on the building that previously housed Zoes Kitchen and tried it. It's a build your own wrap or bowl concept however, there were some signature wraps on the menu. I opted for the spicy chicken pita and am so glad I tried it. The pita was a considerable portion that I divided into two meals. Most importantly, it was a complete symphony of flavor. The spice was bold but not overwhelming to my tastebuds. The avocado balanced it out well. I visited Cava on Cobb parkway on December 4th to pick up an order confirmed and paid for 6:45. Upon arrival at 7:13, I encountered an incredibly disappointing and unprofessional situation. A lady, identified by a nametag reading "Dev," emerged from the back in a confrontational manner, raising her voice and denying having the order in their system. She repeatedly demanded confirmation and insisted I wait until she located the order, disregarding the confirmed payment and the time elapsed. Despite my polite request for assistance and having paid for the order, she prioritized attending to other customers behind me. Shockingly, she refused to rectify the paid order, declined a refund, and even went so far as to threaten me. This behavior is unacceptable, especially in a place I frequent regularly, recommending it to others, and bringing my employees for meals. I'm deeply disappointed that an employee representing Cava, a place I've supported and promoted with a substantial social media following, treated a loyal customer in such a disrespectful and discriminatory manner. It's bewildering that the company, led by CEO Brett Schulman, would allow such unprofessional conduct and the mishandling of a customer issue, especially one as straightforward as a delayed order. This experience has left me feeling violated, invalidated, and discriminated against. It's undoubtedly the worst encounter I've had at a dining establishment. Cava is life! The line is always wrapped around the building. Fresh ingredients, generous portions and delicious options. Fresh squeezed juices, lemonade and tea available. There's a patio for dining during the warmer months and indoor seating offered year round. I usually take mine to go and it gives the dish time to marinate more, absolutely scrumptious! I definitely recommend the spicy lamb meatballs, oh so good so good. I could eat a 10 piece lamb meatball with pita chips and harissa dipping sauce, yep sounds satisfying. Oooo, I wonder if I can order that next time... Guess I'll be returning to find out. I ordered ahead via the Cava app at 12:22pm and didn't get my order until 1:03pm. People were waiting longer in the order ahead line than the walk in line (about 15 people waiting on order ahead and 20-30 people at walk-in). Orders that were put in ahead should be prioritized. The walk in line was out the door. Customers were getting frustrated at waiting so long and staff had no urgency to get orders done, moving at a slow pace. They are certainly understaffed and inefficient. I asked for a water cup while I waited and they said no. Don't come here unless you have an hour to spend. read more

Had Cava for the first time at the cumberland location across from Barnes & Nobles. First person to say hi and speak to us was a young lady named Gicela(spell check) she was nice and helpful but there was a lot of unsanitary things happening. Food all over the ground and serving areas. At the end of the line the same lady that deals with cash kept her gloves on, grabbed our pita bread and kept going. I asked her if she's changing her gloves she lied to my face and said she's not dealing with cash then literally grabbed cash. Drink area ... forget about it. Liquids EVERYWHERE. I can just tell they were ready to get outta there. Everyone looked over it. I've heard the hype about Cava so I was looking for a regular experience.. and got McDonalds treatment. read more

This location is absolutely terrible. So much so that I am finally writing a review. It's not even 1 PM, yet they somehow are always "running out" of food - two hours after opening. This was just my experience today. It's like no matter what time you go in the day, they are allegedly "out of stock" on some food items and they do not replenish their items too. Additionally, there have been many instances in which the store will close without any notice. This has happened to me and my fiancé on several occasions. I also distinctly remember my sister wanting to go to this location. When she arrived, there was a sign on the door that stated they were understaffed due to letting people go. That's literally what the notice said - I kid you not! As a result, customers have to resort to doing take out online when they close unexpectedly. That is extremely unprofessional. You are better off going to another Cava location. This one is extremely sub-par. read more

The manager of this location really needs to get it together. No greeting when I entered. Prominently advertised & delicious sounding tahini shakes but the "shake machine" wasn't working. I ordered pita with falafel. At the location in Brookhaven the falafel were a decent size. The size here was like smallish meatballs. The serving size of all the toppings were meager. The cucumber mint lime drink was bland. There were no napkins in the dispenser. A distracted worker started preparing the meal of the customer who was behind my husband instead of finishing my husband's meal. Overall, a mess & we won't be back. read more
