Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Fresh/hot breakfast every morning. Quiet, comfortable, clean room. Kind hostess, Sarah was so lovely. I'm not sure there's much to say except it's awesome. If you're in the area this is he perfect place to crash. We chose the room with the private bathroom and entrance, I must say it was worth the extra money for that. Could've slept for days. Plus the property is gorgeous.

Tony and Sarah are the bestest hosts ever. I love staying at B&B, the intimate and sweet feeling of living under roofs of locals is homey and relaxing. Boyfriend and I stayed at Catskill Lodge this past weekend and we had an wonderful experience. The exterior of the house is like something out of a fairy tale, cute and intimate. As soon as we pulled in with our car, Tony walked over from their house, greeted and ushered us in (along with pumpkin muffins). The interior of the lodge is decorated with great taste and perfection, impressionist art works lines the walls of our floor, loved them. We stayed in Woodstock, one of the smaller rooms on the second floor with a shared bathroom, the rooms are cozy and very clean, complete with a TV screen and a DVD player. There are two outdoor patios on both the second and first floor, affording a beautiful view of the mountains and great for chilling. Tony also showed us their extensive movie collection in the living room and the many classic board games for entertainment. A mini frig fully stocked with soft drinks and bottled water (definitely the best luxury for hikers in the middle of mountain ranges, saved us so much time and headache trying to hunt down these essential supplies), along with popcorn and all kinds of cereals for anytime snacks. There is also a guest frig that we could store our food for later and plenty of plates that we could use. They really thought of everything! At breakfast, you will learn that Sarah is an amazing cook. The breakfast was SO TASTY. Sausages and scrambled eggs, yogurt with fresh fruits, and two main dishes besides cereal and drinks. I stuffed myself silly with cinnamon french toast (the texture is so fluffy) and fresh rasberry/strawberries, and blueberry muffins with lemon curd and boyfriend finished gigantic piece of egg frittata. Probably the best breakfast dessert dishes I've had anywhere. We were also asked about our dietary restrictions when we checked in. (Again, +1 for attention to details.) Location wise, the Lodge is within walking distance to a few little cafe and an Italian restaurant and just a few miles away from Windham downtown and more yummies. We didn't feel the need to go further than 1 mile from the Lodge to grab food (Nunzio's has amazing pizzas). It is also just a 10-15 minute drive from Windham High Peak/Blackhead Trail Head, which have both moderate and difficult trail, medium and long. We probably spent half of our weekend relaxing inside the lodge, on the porch, on the bench outside, watching movies in our room or just lazying around. It was delightful and charming all in itself. Cellular connection is limited in the Catskill region in general but the WiFi is fast and convenient in the Lodge. Also, this is one of the most affordable B&B in the area. Tony and Sarah are gracious hosts who are nice and attentive we felt right at home, they also have the cutest baby ever. We will definitely stay here again!

Catskill Lodge is an amazing bed & breakfast. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here. The innkeepers are very attentive and make you feel right at home. Breakfast was superb. Definitely will come back!

The recommendation to come to Albergo Allegria however, lived up to, and exceeded expectations. We experienced interesting, creative and delicious dishes, served with friendliness, warmth and pride. We were not alone, observing every other table, we saw similar reactions to the "Duffle" an omelette that carried flavor and texture that eclipsed any that we have had. Our children enjoyed the "Waff-cakes" a hybrid waffle pancake with whipped cream and preserves. Rounding out our selection was the Savory Lion, scrambled eggs and cheese that was decadent. Combine the food with a welcoming couple who own and operate, along with a staff that is attentive and courteous, and you have a destination that should not be missed. We also took a soup to go, Spiced Carrot Lentil, which proved to be just as delicious and hearty as our breakfast dishes.

There are a thousand charming B&Bs, but they do not have Lesli and Maryanna at the helm. There is a warmth and genuineness that these hosts possess that extends to all their staff. Breakfast is homemade with care and attention and the personalized recipes are delicious beyond measure. The nightly experience around the roaring firepit is especially magical. The grounds are spacious. This place is a gift of grace to anyone lucky enough to stay here.

The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream was largely nice, though it had its pluses and minuses. The…read moreinn was clearly a motel in a previous life, as it had that lengthy structure with outdoor entrances to each room. The parking lot was gravel-based, so vehicles were parked a bit haphazardly, but the lot's spaciousness ensured that it was not really an issue. The hotel was right on the stream with a lovely grassy area dotted with Adirondack chairs, hammocks, and other ways to enjoy the view. The office was located right next to that little park and was also where the continental buffet breakfast was served. The small room had a great view of the water from its few tables. The breakfast options included various hot beverages, several types of milk, yogurt, berries, granola, pastries, breads, hard-boiled eggs, lox, tomatoes, cucumbers, and more. It was really the perfect few bites to start the day with energy and wellness. While the inn had a few larger cabins, many of the rooms were supposedly rather tiny, including ours. The room had a queen-sized bed, nightstand, wall-mounted television, and wooden desk with matching chair. There was a closet with some hanging and shelving space, as well as a hair dryer and coffeemaker. The room really left a lot to be desired from a space perspective, as it was hard to navigate. For instance, the room might have come with 2 luggage racks, but there was really only space for one. The bathroom was also tiny, and it was near impossible to use the toilet without sideswiping the pedestal sink on your way. The shower was a decent size at least. The bathroom came with fluffy towels and Aveda products, which were both appreciated. We also loved that the temperature and pressure of the water were phenomenal; in fact, the shower was like a fire hose! Though the room was small, it was SPOTLESS! Also, its individual heater packed a great deal of warmth. There was not an abundance of electrical outlets, but the alarm clock had one built in, as well as two USB ports. The extremely gracious staff had also left a binder of local recommendations for us on the table. The bed, however, was lumpy, and the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. From a location standpoint, the inn was only a few blocks from either end of town, depending on which way you wanted to travel. The residential roads were very dark at night and many did not have sidewalks, so we definitely needed to be alert walking to and from the main drag, even though we knew the town was overly safe. The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream made up for its lack of amenities and small rooms with efficient, friendly service and clear dedication to guest satisfaction.

The communal lodge area is especially welcoming, featuring a cozy fireplace, billiards, board games, and multiple seating options. Amenities include a sauna and a pool, both of which were not in service at the time. The ice rink was available, and we did enjoy the s'mores on the west deck in the evening. Our room was simple but very cozy, with mountain views and a balcony. However, the room did not have a fridge or microwave. I also appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly and offers a Pupstar package. There is a restaurant and bar on site, but prices were high. Dining options in the area were limited during the off-season weekdays, which made this a bit challenging for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the amenities we were able to experience. Carlos at the front desk provided outstanding customer service every interaction and was extremely helpful.
