Outdoor porch with country style seating

An incredibly charming and cozy B&B with warm hospitality. The owners live on site and they strive to make the guests feel comfortable and at home. On a clear cool evening, they even lit a bonfire for the guests to enjoy. The breakfast here, which was extra, was top notch and topped off with strong coffee. The room for two wasn't too large but was well adorned with amenities and was configured with functionality in mind. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Definitely one of the best if not the best breakfasts on the mountain ! Everything was freshly prepared to our liking and tasted delicious. The menu is a bit updated but not overly complicated where you don't know what to get. I highly recommend this place is you want a bit to eat in the morning or a place to stay near Windham mountain.

Phenomenal breakfast experience!! Justice our server was incredible. We really enjoyed the eggs and pumpkin bread. Would definitely go back! 10/10 experience.

My wife and I needed a nice get away. 3 1/2 hours from our South Jersey home we found Albergo Allegria in the quiet town of Windham NY. Around the corner from Windham Ski Resort (obviously no skiing this weekend) and 30 minutes from the beautiful Hunter Mountain (the first of 4 weekends of Oktoberfest), Albergo Allegria is an shinning gem. The homegrown, long lost family type bed and breakfast that NO AIRB&B can even come close to matching. Our room was spotless, clean and extremely comfortable. A room for all four seasons too. The main house was warm and welcoming with quiet places to sit and read or borrow an DVD and just sit in your room and chill out should you so desire. The BREAKFAST!!!! OMG!!! Mariana and her staff including a quiet but extremely supportive and proud husband, her mom and dad (the original owners), the outstanding staff - Christine, Mike and Jack - to name only a few - put out a breakfast that you're not going to find in any diner or 5 star hotel. Some grown on the property and the rest is hand picked or directly chosen by the staff. AA's breakfasts lasted us through the day. Leslie (the husband) set us up with a back yard fire pit, even though Jack cheated when he lit it, my wife and I and some new found friends stayed out late into the night making Smores' on steroids. I would highly recommend Albergo Allegria to anyone looking for a quiet getaway, a ski vacation at Windham or Hunter, a leaf peeking weekend or golf outing. This place is an absolute must!

Had such a nice stay at the Albergo Allegria Inn. Marianna and Leslie are great hosts. We stayed Monday-Weds and Leslie shared with us a map of area restaurants which was clutch because so many are either closed on Monday, Tuesday, or both so that map came in handy. He also offered maps to area trails or anything else we may need. We stayed in the January room and it was so spacious and very clean. The room has a big closet, mini fridge, and a pair comfortable chairs. There's also a little electric fireplace that added to the coziness of the room. The Inn has so many options for sitting and relaxing, but we had the added bonus of a private porch. I know it's been said before, but the breakfast is truly amazing. Hot entree options to accompany an already ample continental spread. And not just the standard options, but some really imaginative frittatas and omelets. Marianna was always there to check in making sure things were good. Having access to the pantry was also a treat. It was nice to have the option of a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, soda with ice, along with home baked cookies in the cookie jar. I would 1000% recommend and hope to make it back myself sooner rather than later.

We were hungry and with most of the restaurants closed or closing soon, Jacob offered to make us some chicken tenders. They were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. You have a variety of choices for breakfast - warm muffins, croissants and chocolate croissants, fruit, oatmeal, cereals, granola and your choice of teas as well as coffee, cappuccino, and macchiatos from a machine I wish I had at home. Starbucks watch out...lol. The warm croissants are made each and every morning by Jacob. Our Mountain View room had a king size bed, which was so comfortable and oversized pillows that felt like clouds. Everything was so luxurious and very clean. Coming back to our room on Valentine's Day, we found a box of chocolates and a Rose left on our bed. What a pleasant surprise! You can tell that Jacob, his family and staff really love what they do. It's this small family feel that you will not find at any hotel chain. Downstairs there's a lounge area with board games, a foosball table and lots of places to sit, eat, read, talk and just relax. There's a separate building with a heated pool and a sauna right outside. We didn't get a chance to use this, but look forward to it the next time. You have access to the Windham Path right from the property as well. Lots of restaurants in town and our favorite breakfast place, Clutch and Throttle is a must go to. And make sure you visit the Gem Mercantile for your clothing needs or gifts to take back home. We are looking forward to another visit to Hotel Vienna in the future.

There was also a few little…read moresurprises that were mostly because we didn't read the website description or dig thoroughly enough, so I will try to make this as helpful as possible! For reference, we stayed in one of the Lushna cabins that are best described as the size of a big teepee tent with one beautiful window wall. First surprise, I don't think were were fully expecting how small it was and that there is basically just a bed and then room for a bag or two. Yes, the bathrooms are detached and you have to go outside to get to them but they are a few feet away, private, and they keep them so incredibly warm that it was actually really nice in there. They are very spacious, have plenty of shelves and the shower is huge and luxurious. My bathroom at home honestly pales in comparison. There are two saunas on property but the one right outside of our cabin was not working, most likely because of how cold it was outside. It was a bummer, especially because we didn't want to trek to the other farther away one. We ate at Dandies, their on site restaurant, our first night and everything was incredible. Their staff was super friendly and lovely to chat with. We went back for the mulled wines more than once and stopped by in the AM for coffees before leaving for the day. It was great to have so close by. Our first morning we tried the breakfast basket and loved that it just appeared at our door. For $30 we got a Stanley thermos of coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt parfaits, OJ, and croissants. Nothing too crazy but I loved having a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed. Windham is filled with great places to eat, cute antique shops, a movie theater, bars, and is not far at all from other great towns. This wasn't a ski trip for us, but we never ran out of things to do. Yes, it was expensive and might not have fully felt like it was worth the price with all of the surprises, but we had an amazing time and we also got engaged over this weekend in this teeny tiny little teepee tent so my heart is full of love and 5 stars for everyone.

Misleading Listing - Hot Tub Legally Closed, Poor Conditions, and Pressured to Remove Review…read more I booked this stay in December mainly for the hot tub, but when we arrived, it was covered in snow and frozen, with a "Notice of Closure" sign SINCE OCTOBER. I learned it was actually shut down by New York State due to missing permits -- something never disclosed. At first, staff blamed the maintenance people and told us it was "safe to use" and would warm up in a few hours, once someone came to fix it. To accommodate us, they said that we can use the hot tub upstairs, and yes, other people were staying there. Another recent review mentions the same issues, so this isn't an isolated incident. And they've known that the hot tub was out of commission since October, so I'm not sure why they continue to advertise this place that it has a hot tub. On top of that, the experience getting in was frustrating: the place was extremely hard to find, the access code didn't work, and we had to rely on the building's Wi-Fi just to reach someone for a new code. Inside, the unit was not clean (dirty floors, dirt in the shower, no blankets), and the noise from upstairs was so loud we could hear every footstep, conversation, and personal relations. When I expressed how serious the hot tub issue was, amongst other things, they offered only 20% back on the condition that I remove my negative review, which is inappropriate, unethical, and illegal under consumer protection laws. Between the misleading listing, poor conditions, noise, and pressure to hide my honest experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

My husband and I stayed here in February for a weekend getaway to Windham Mountain. When we arrived I was informed that the deal I was promised over the phone, which included free lift tickets to the mountain, was not applicable because it was Presidents "Week." Was I told this over the phone while booking? No. So I was already upset before we even went up to our room. And the price was not adjusted even though we now had to shell out money for lift tickets! The room was large with a separate living room area. I was actually impressed. Until I noticed the thump thump thump of someones loud music. I assumed it was our neighbors and it would eventually stop. So we left our room to get some food and drinks. We came back at night to discover that the music had not stopped and our room was in fact located over the kitchen of the attached restaurant. It was like 12am or 1am and the staff was cleaning up and blasting music right below our room. My husband was nice enough to go down to the front desk and ask for another room. The staff was not very accommodating, they acted like they couldn't move us, although they finally did thanks to my husband's persistence. The whole process took 30 minutes, which is ridiculous. Our new room was luckily much quieter - and MUCH smaller. So small that the door basically opened up into the wardrobe that held the TV. Was the price adjusted? No. We originally chose this place because of the promised shuttle to and from the mountain. It turns out that parking at the mountain is easy and free, so we never utilized the shuttle. I tried to the last day, when I didn't feel like skiing and I thought I could meet my husband at the mountain after he was done, but the shuttle apparently only goes FROM the mountain in the afternoon.
