What a wonderful B&B. SO close to all the ski and zipline fun of the Catskills... PLUS --- The owners, Rebecca and Susumu, are totally delightful, charming, and friendly. The Inn's accommodations are spotless, with lovely new bathrooms, eclectic living areas that are a joy to the eye, and beautiful clouds on every ceiling... and beds... YES... like beds on clouds! All this and a 5 star breakfast to boot! Beds on Clouds is Heaven on earth!

We just had the most wonderful stay at Beds on Clouds! This bed and breakfast is lovely and charming. Breakfast is made by the owners each morning and was delicious! The rooms are very pretty and have modern amenities (showers, sinks, etc). It was less than a mile from Windham Mountain for skiing and had many cute shops and places to eat nearby. Free street parking. Very reasonable rates. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Windham or Hunter Mountain for vacation.

The recommendation to come to Albergo Allegria however, lived up to, and exceeded expectations. We experienced interesting, creative and delicious dishes, served with friendliness, warmth and pride. We were not alone, observing every other table, we saw similar reactions to the "Duffle" an omelette that carried flavor and texture that eclipsed any that we have had. Our children enjoyed the "Waff-cakes" a hybrid waffle pancake with whipped cream and preserves. Rounding out our selection was the Savory Lion, scrambled eggs and cheese that was decadent. Combine the food with a welcoming couple who own and operate, along with a staff that is attentive and courteous, and you have a destination that should not be missed. We also took a soup to go, Spiced Carrot Lentil, which proved to be just as delicious and hearty as our breakfast dishes.

There are a thousand charming B&Bs, but they do not have Lesli and Maryanna at the helm. There is a warmth and genuineness that these hosts possess that extends to all their staff. It leads to an immediate sense of gracious welcome that enhances a physical space that is exceptionally beautiful, comfortable, individual and altogether unique. Breakfast is homemade with care and attention and the personalized recipes are delicious beyond measure. The nightly experience around the roaring firepit is especially magical. The grounds are spacious. This place is a gift of grace to anyone lucky enough to stay here.

There was also a few little…read moresurprises that were mostly because we didn't read the website description or dig thoroughly enough, so I will try to make this as helpful as possible! For reference, we stayed in one of the Lushna cabins that are best described as the size of a big teepee tent with one beautiful window wall. First surprise, I don't think were were fully expecting how small it was and that there is basically just a bed and then room for a bag or two. Yes, the bathrooms are detached and you have to go outside to get to them but they are a few feet away, private, and they keep them so incredibly warm that it was actually really nice in there. They are very spacious, have plenty of shelves and the shower is huge and luxurious. My bathroom at home honestly pales in comparison. There are two saunas on property but the one right outside of our cabin was not working, most likely because of how cold it was outside. It was a bummer, especially because we didn't want to trek to the other farther away one. We ate at Dandies, their on site restaurant, our first night and everything was incredible. Their staff was super friendly and lovely to chat with. We went back for the mulled wines more than once and stopped by in the AM for coffees before leaving for the day. It was great to have so close by. Our first morning we tried the breakfast basket and loved that it just appeared at our door. For $30 we got a Stanley thermos of coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt parfaits, OJ, and croissants. Nothing too crazy but I loved having a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed. Windham is filled with great places to eat, cute antique shops, a movie theater, bars, and is not far at all from other great towns. This wasn't a ski trip for us, but we never ran out of things to do. Yes, it was expensive and might not have fully felt like it was worth the price with all of the surprises, but we had an amazing time and we also got engaged over this weekend in this teeny tiny little teepee tent so my heart is full of love and 5 stars for everyone.

Andre was such a great server and even talked us into getting an Affogato for dessert, his twirls were amazing, and he even put a G in my cappuccino for my name!!. One of the amazing hotel employees recommended the curry ketchup and it was AMAZING. we took the bikes out, hiked, laid on the hammocks, etc. we don't want to leave. one thing i will add is that the acoustics are intense in the room. the room directly above us was having... a lot of fun in their bed for a lot of our trip... and it was so comically loud. shout out to them tho. they were feeling the romantic vibes too i guess. all in all very much recommend. i wish the door had a chain lock but other than that it was a perfect experience.

The Inn is centrally located within minutes from town, Windham Ski Resort and even Hunter Mountain. The Inn itself dates back to 1937. And it was a hotel for many years all throughout. At some point for 10-20 years I believe, it became a privately owned home with a three car garage. The lovely deck and outdoor spaces makes it quaint and picturesque. Now owned by these two sisters, for the last three years, and it's a B&B. Come for the views, the Georgian Hospitality, and the delicious breakfast buffet. The Inn is family owned and operated mainly by the two sisters whom are both lovely and personable. They really welcome all their guests and will make every effort to ensure you're satisfied with the accommodations. They particularly want you to be happy with your meal so special requests can be made all within reason. My picky little one only eats egg whites and likes her pancakes plain (and made with vanilla). One morning they were serving apple pancakes and zucchini ones and they noticed my kiddo wasn't eating. I requested only the egg whites and they made it straight away in minutes. She was smiling ear to ear. One of the sisters heard me talking about the pancakes as well so voila, they appeared minutes later as well, just the plain way my kiddo likes. They surely aim to please even the little guest. That was very sweet and thoughtful. The breakfast buffet changed each day, lots of variety too I have to say. From Zucchini pancakes, homemade crabapple syrup (from their tree in the backyard), French toast with bananas, fresh cut fruit, organic scrambled eggs, sausages, meatballs, hot oatmeal, ie ... Just to name a few. We stayed for the long weekend of Presidents week so we were lucky enough to sample this awesome variety of goodies and they were prompt to refill anything that ran low. I was so spoiled ... Told them what would I do when I get home?! Can't get to eat like this! She laughed and we had great conversations in passing. We picked this Inn for the proximity to Windham so it was a ski weekend for us. Other guests came to write, to paint, or just to relax. The views here of the majestic mountainside was reason enough to come. In the summer months I'm told, there's a path just out back that leads to the babbling Creek and a mini beach. The Fall foliage here would definitely be worth the trip as well, hey, it's the Catskills! For our family of four, we picked the room with the mountain view and with the en suite bathroom. There's one other guest room like that as well. The others I'm told are just rooms where you share the common restroom in the hallway. I took a peek on check out (we were last to leave) and surely every room I saw on the second floor was just as charming as the next. Each one decorated with it's own distinct colors and style. The first floor common areas have two dining rooms and a formal living room with a cozy fireplace and lush throws to sit with. It's truly a beautiful place. Romantic or relaxing and inviting for all. It's a must visit.
