They do have a nice variety of food options (found a couple goodies my little hunter will absolutely demolish), but the toy selection was kinda meh. Lots of catnip stuff... which is great if your cat is into that, but mine prefers to straight-up destroy anything already, can't imagine her on the nip just yet. I was hoping for more durable, non-catnip, "won't be shredded in 4 minutes" options. Found a couple things that might survive her wrath, with a few removal of smaller pieces, so we'll see. Overall, good spot, friendly enough, worth popping into if you're nearby, but not quite the specialty treasure trove I had in mind. I'll be back... just not, like, weekly.

As a human who sees a Naturopathic Doc AND a regular Doc, I was curious what a local natural pet food store would suggest. I called and had the good fortune that Martha picked up the phone! When this woman heard about my cat's diagnosis, she launched into a mini tutorial about Feline Chronic Kidney Disease. She must've spent 20 minutes on the phone with me, obviously passionate and knowledgeable about animals. She told me she had created a "cheat sheet" of sorts that I could get a copy of: it lists all the brands of food from the lowest phosphorus content to the highest. Knowing more about this my cats illness eased my worries. Once I got to NB, I learned they carried, Daves & Weruva's, both good for Renal Diets. Then I learned that Martha is one of the owners and was so touched at how much time she spent with me on the phone. So kind! She's the real deal about caring about your pets/fur babies. NB gave me a copy of the Cheat Sheet that lists/compared most all the Feline Chronic Kidney Disease wet food. Thank y'all so much for the guidance! P.S. That is until this past week when my wife and I adopted a dog. We stopped by My Pet Market yesterday to get a wash for our new member of the family while also looking around at other items and asking the employees for some advice. It was an all-around positive experience! My wife and I just adopted our dog on Thursday, and two days later, we were ready for our first outing with her to get her a bath at the iClean Dog Wash. We put on her harness for the occasion, which seemed a bit loose. We asked the team working for advice and received some helpful information that made a big difference. We then went to the bag left corner of the store and took advantage of a pet wash, which was $15 for about 15 minutes that included a regular wash, shampoo, conditioner, flea wash, low pressure dryer, high pressure dryer, and sanitization (of the wash area). We could stop and start at our convenience to ensure we have time to get a dog fully washed or dried. Towels, brushes, and aprons were provided to the washers. While our dog wasn't a fan of the process, we thought it was easy to use and ensure she got clean. After the wash, we looked around at the many products. We will certainly be back! My Pet Market is a family-owned, independent pet store that specializes in natural foods for all sorts of animals. They have a huge supply of treats, toys, and products. Their staff are prepared to provide information that we may need to keep our pets healthy and happy based on our pets' individual needs. They provide recommendations as needed. On the weekends, they even host local rescues to help animals find their forever homes. When we were there yesterday, they had an event to help some bunnies find homes. My Pet Market is open weekdays and Saturdays from 8 AM to 9 PM and Sundays from 9 AM to 7 PM. The May offer on the website (https://www.mypetmarket.com) including a $5 discount off any 5 pound bag or larger of Grandma Mae's pet food. They also have a loyalty program with other discounts and promotions. What I was shown were very minimal enclosures with little to no enrichment. This does not reflect modern, welfare-focused reptile care, which prioritizes proper substrate, enrichment, and environments that allow for natural behaviors. When I asked further questions about their standards, I did not receive clear or transparent answers. Instead, the conversation quickly became unprofessional. Rather than addressing concerns about animal care, I was met with dismissive and inappropriate responses from the store manager (included in screenshots). This experience raised serious concerns about both the level of care and the professionalism behind this business. There are many reptile keepers and shops that prioritize proper, up-to-date husbandry and genuinely care about the animals they work with. Based on what I saw and experienced, I would strongly advise others to do thorough research and consider supporting businesses that clearly demonstrate proper animal care and professionalism.
