    Churro French Toast
    Geno P.

My son and I went here for a lunch, under his recommendation. I heard about it and wanted to give it a try. He had an omelette and potatoes and I had the churro French toast. Quite a departure from my usual savory dish. Everything was delicious and fresh. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. Stop by and give them a try. Wide variety of Mexican and breakfast items to choose.

The atmosphere was nice for a girls brunch I had with a friend. The music was not too loud . The service was good the staff kept checking in if we were ready to order and checked in on the quality of the food. I had the Española Omelette. The food was good and presented well on the plate. I think the amount of food for the price was great! I had a side of pancakes it came with too.

Artistic new addition to the neighborhood. Beautiful decor. Nice Mexican music played at a background level for breakfast. Prompt, polite bilingual service, good hot Collectivo coffee. Great breakfast selections but I'm especially a fan of the oatmeal banana pancakes which I choose to believe are healthy.

We checked this place out for breakfast and it was really good! I had the Espanola Omelette (subbed the sausage for chorizo) that comes with a side of seasoned red potatoes. It also comes with a choice of toast, pancakes, fruit or tortillas and I chose the pancakes which were delightful. The place is kind of split with one side as a bar and the other where most of the seating is. Service was great - she was so attentive and always made sure our coffee was refilled.

The ample menu might leave you trying to decide among several good options, and based on our choices today, we can say you are likely to find good and tasty savory or sweet fare. I had the veggie fajitas, which was a very generous portion of everything, and my partner had the strawberry crepes. He enjoyed them and I also tried them and can confirm they were delicious. So, a few highlights: you can get breakfast fare until 4pm, and you can already get dinner options at 3pm. That overlap should keep your squad happy! Also, they have happy hours Wednesday to Sunday, so do check the margaritas and drinks menu for more details. The front patio is nice since there is a tree for some shade. The back patio wasn't open today, but that might be another great option for a balmy summer/fall evening. Nice service and reasonable prices given the hearty portions.

If you're searching for your next favorite spot for authentic Mexican food, look no further than Catrina Cafe. The service here is truly exceptional--attentive without being intrusive, and every recommendation feels genuine and thoughtful. The ambience strikes the perfect balance between modern and traditional. Colorful murals line the walls, woven lanterns cast a soft glow over rustic wooden tables, and the upbeat music creates a lively, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger long after your meal. And the food was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back the very next day. Delicious food, amazing service, and a wonderful ambience--it's everything you could hope for in a dining experience. Highly recommended.

Such an incredible restaurant! We absolutely love Catrina, they have wonderful tacos and drinks! We loved their appetizer La Vale Madre (so good!) and their homemade chips and salsa are awesome! The service is stellar, the wait staff are knowledgeable and attentive. It has a family friendly ambiance that we really enjoy.

Fried and coleslaw were also really good. Tons of fries that were also slightly crispy - just how I like it. I ate outside since the weather was nice and enjoyed my meal while people watching. Notes: The workers were friendly and helpful. They have indoor table seating as well as oyster bar area. Many tables outside of market too. This was my first meal during my visit to Milwaukee and what a delicious way to start!

St. Paul Fish Market is located inside the very busy and popular Milwaukee Public Market indoor shopping complex downtown. It reminds me of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. The only parking option that I am aware of is metered street parking. The building has 2 levels but the 1st floor is where most of the business are. It appeared to me that St. Paul's is the most popular business there. It is a seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. They have a small sit down area for table service dining or you can order your food to go at the counter. After being seated and reviewing the menu I decided to order the same meal I had over 11 years ago. I went with a bowl of clam chowder for $8 to start and then added a fried grouper sandwich ($16) with french fries for another $2.50. The chowder was perfect. Flavorful, delicious and I wanted more (5). The sandwich also was delicious and satisfying made with quality fish, lettuce, tomato, and bread. However while it tasted very good halfway through eating it the bread bun started to disintegrate and then quickly turned to mush before I could finish. Then I needed a fork to finish it. It got messy and I don't like that in a sandwich. It's only for that reason I give an overall 4 score instead of a 5. The french fries were very good tasting too but I had ordered too much food and only had room for a few of them. The table service was very warm and friendly. I believe St. Paul's is a very good choice for a casual seafood meal but please buy more sturdy buns!

The texture was creamy with chunks of lobster and the flavor was delicious. I can't wait to have this bisque again! For dinner I had the Poached Wild-Caught Alaskan Halibut, the halibut was cooked perfectly. I really loved this dish! The herbed couscous was flavorful and the basil pesto paired well with the fish, couscous, and veggies. For dessert, I had the Crème Brulee, it was soooo delectable, it was sinful! So good! My date had requested during the reservation to be seated by a window but they had us seated at a rounder and bigger table that felt a little goofy for two people to be seated in. We decided to order the Crispy Fried Berkshire Pork Belly as our starter and the Grilled Whole Mediterranean Branzino and the Seafood Pappardelle as our main entrees. For drinks, we decided to get the cranberry kiss. Surprisingly, both of our dishes were pretty filling! The seafood Pappardelle, had lobster, scallops, shrimp, and octopus. It was on the heavier side, but the noodles that they paired with it, was absolutely amazing. The Branzino was nicely grilled, but wasn't dry on the inside. I was indifferent with the chimichurri sauce that was paired with it but the smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus was delicious. Overall, very delicious entrees.

From the happy hour menu, I also ordered the Halibut Fish Fry and the Shrimp Cocktail. The Shrimp Cocktail had a sweet and chili cocktail vinaigrette, which I really enjoyed. From the dinner menu, I had the Kale Cashew Caesar, Lobster Pot Pie, and the Ora King Salmon. To my surprise, the star of the show was the Kale Cashew Caesar, which staff recommended. What made this dish so special was the generous mound of shaved Gran Moravia piled on top, complemented by lemon breadcrumbs. The combination and texture was so fun to eat. The Lobster Pot Pie is offered at market price ($55 when I went). They give you generous chunks of butter-poached lobster tails, seasonal vegetables, lobster cream in their truffle puff pastry. The Ora King Salmon was also delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly--light and moist. I enjoyed the black garlic gnocchi and the apple gastrique that came with this dish. Barnacle Bud's had a cool decor vibe and moody lighting. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and you could tell she was very excited about the menu and the pop-up experience. She provided exceptional customer service- she went over the menu thoroughly, came back to check on us multiple times, and always refilled our water, which I always appreciate! To start, we ordered wine and the relish tray. Everything on the relish tray was a little too vinegary for me but most of the table enjoyed it. However, the four of us didn't finish it. It was pretty powerful with vinegar flavor. For an entree, I had the salmon with veggies and my friends ordered the lamb chops, carbonara, and a vegetarian friend ordered a plate of Bud's potatoes and veggies. Also to note, there were up-charges for veggies, sauce was $3 extra, etc., so just pay attention to pricing if that's a concern for you. Overall, it was a unique experience and worth checking out.
