Don't sleep on this place! The food is great, service is fast and the staff are super friendly. There's a lot of options on the menu to cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. The fresh salsa and warm chips are a great starter, but I also suggest the fresh guacamole! The interior has been freshened up a bit, and offers ample seating in two dining rooms. There's a bar up front as well. The restaurant is always clean inside and out, as are the restrooms. There's a generous amount of parking and easy access off of Janesville Road. I'm a big fan. For the past several months I've been able to try a variety of dishes and have yet to be disappointed. Meat options are chicken, beef and pork. My money is on the pork every time. It's cooked so perfectly with a little bit of char... perfect! I wish I could recommend a specific dish, but so far I've loved everything equally. Please, stop on in for some delicious and authentic Mexican food!

Decor fresh, roomy, bright, inviting! Music soft sounds surrounding adding to the atmosphere. Service amazingly, fast, friendly, impeccable. Drinks refreshing! Food OMGGGG Delicious !!!!! Guacamole yummy ohhh yah! The chips are served with a mild salsa, but if you would like some HEAT just ask your friendly waitstaff for the green heat or red Tabasco kicker. That will put some heat on your tongue!!!! Chimichanga dinner three chimichangas shells light and delicious filled with your choice of meat served with beans, rice, sour cream, lettuce! Delicious and satisfying!! Fajitas Dinner served sizzling with your choice of meat or combine two meats for $1 more. So worth it! Served with assorted grilled peppers onions and tomatoes plus a side dish of lettuce sour cream, rice and beans all full of amazing freshly prepared flavors. And a special thank you to our amazing energetic waitress Brianna thank you for your 5star service. We look forward to coming back again soon and we highly recommend that anyone reading this honest review stops in to celebrate this one year old restaurant here on Janesville Road in Muskego

What I don't like so much is the fact that there is no foyer at the entrance. When the front door opens, and if you are seated nearby, you get a blast of cold air. Not sure what they can do about that, given the fact that they are part of a strip mall.

Mismatched chairs and tables from the 70s, maybe older based on the prints. I feel like I'm the only one in here today that remembers seeing and using a LOT of this stuff when was younger! It's definitely unique and fun. There's a lot of little seating areas as well, like tiny conversation pits near the entrance. One in front of a fireplace looked particularly cozy. I noticed a couple shelves with items for sale, likely from local small businesses. It can get really loud in here, which is to be expected with the high ceiling and large open area. Unfortunately that also means it can be difficult to have a conversation with people at your table. I chose to visit for lunch since I was in the mood for something light and new to me. What I did not expect was to leave still hungry. I ordered the equivalent of a caprese sandwich, however the tomato slices were so thin, the cheese sparse, and the pesto was almost nonexistent - if not for the green stain on the bread, I'd have thought they forgot to even add it. Definitely not a sandwich worthy of the $13 price tag. No complaints on the drinks. I wouldn't mind stopping in again sometime for coffee, but if you're hungry for more than a bakery case item, you may wish to go elsewhere.

The decor is unique with a funky woodsy theme that includes a taxidermy bear, fish tank and two inside tables. My service was friendly and fast. I would order the the north woods spicy Italian which is pepperoni, salami, bacon, tomato, red onion, fresh mozzarella pepper Jack cheese, mayo and giardiniera 9 inch at a premium price of $16. First off it actually measured over 10 inches, thank you SW. The sandwich looked good on sesame seed Italian bread which is the perfect bread for sandwiches. The side view looked great and they don't skimp on anything. The fresh toppings, meats etc were plentiful. The Italian bread was perfect because it was fresh with that slight chew in the crust and slightly dense to hold up to this messy sandwich and the generous mayo really makes this sandwich. My first bite was like WOW this is fu%king delicious and a more like a gourmet sub compared to the well known chains. I don't mind paying a premium price for something that is better than most sandwich shops. Overall I'm impressed with this sandwich quality and quantity vs taste. It's a 15 minute drive from me and I can see my self returning to sample Moore of the menu.

I'd also like if the bun wasn't cut all the way through to hold the sandwich together better- actually don't mind a messy sandwich... but my friend wasn't loving his falling apart. During nice weather you can grab a seat outside and look over the water. They even provide pontoon rides during the warmer months (great way to enjoy a drink while you wait for your table). In the last several years they have gone through some significant renovations, especially with the outside seating areas. There is the restaurant on the first floor, and an event space on the second floor. Made 6:30 reservations for Wednesday for 4, and got right in. Had a table by the large windows that look for the patio and lake. Very pretty spot. Got greeted immediately by our server, who did a great job the entire evening. (thanks Laura). Got us water, took our drink order, along with an order for Onion Rings. The onion rings didn't take long, and they were excellent. Crispy with an interesting texture, hot, and served with a side of ranch (could have used more of that). The drinks were good, with the exception of one glass of a beer flight which was super flat, and was happily replaced by the server. For entrees we got: BLT, Blacked Fish Tacos (with extra bacon), Pesto Encrusted Salmon, and Salmon Power Salad. A note about the Pesto "Encrusted" Salmon. It's not really "encrusted", more like a scoop of pesto placed on top of the Salmon, and they finished under a broiler? Good but not what was expected. Didn't take that long for the food to arrive. It was all very good. The tacos were fresh, great flavor and hot. The fries that came with it, were NOT as not as I would like. Both grilled salmon entrees were also very good. The Power Bowl was excellent, with lots of fresh greens and other yummy add ins (goat cheese, blueberries, etc) A very good evening, with the exception of a couple of small hiccups.

We headed to the back, where the various bars for drinks were open. The lines weren't too long, but people were everywhere, talking it up and having a great time. It was estimated to be around an hour for a table, but we got seated in under 30 minutes. You can grab about any drink you can think of, and if you're a whiskey or bourbon fan, there are plenty of options to choose from. We got seated inside, and behind us were so many options for spirits to purchase--it was fun just to look over everything they had. On top of that, there was a guy going around giving samples of spirits, so you can always get lucky that way and grab a sample of a possible future purchase We got salads, burgers, cheese curds, and other items. The food was excellent, and I was starving. If you left the place hungry, that's your fault--portion sizes were large, and the food was filling. The place was certainly noisy, and that's to be expected. This wasn't a problem, but keep it in mind. That Friday energy had people laughing, telling their stories from the week, and enjoying the food. Our server was extremely attentive and kept track of everything amidst so much going on there. I was really impressed with both the food and service. Can't wait to make it back there!

The service was good, as it was a slow night. And because it was slow it was actually a reasonable volume inside. Every time we've visited prior, it's been too loud to even have a conversation. The food itself was pretty basic. I had the pork enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. The refried beans were delicious. The rice was really good. The tomatillo sauce was do flavorful. The pork was bland as heck. I was honestly let down a bit by that because I enjoy a good pork enchilada. I don't think I'd order it again. Hopefully the chicken and steak are better options. I'm sure I may be back at some point, it's a decent sized restaurant with a ton of parking space right in the middle of Muskego. But with so many other options for Mexican food within a 10 mile radius, Tres Locos just doesn't make the top of my list of options. It was good, but then I discovered there was a fruit fly floating in the drink. Stuff happens, and they quickly made me a new one, but there was no offer to comp the drink (and I didn't ask). We also ordered guacamole, salsa, and chips. Those were good, with nice chunks. The salsa was flavorful, with a good texture. For dinner, she got the pork belly tacos, and I ordered the special birria tacos. After a short wait, they both came out. They were good portions, with a nice side of rice and beans. The pork belly wasn't in chunks, but instead was shredded. The birria tacos had good flavor, and the consommé was rich and flavorful. Service: When we arrived, there were only two other tables, with a couple of people at each. We stood around waiting for someone to notice us and seat us. No water, just menus. After a while, the server was replaced by the owner, who did a good job taking our orders. Friendly and helpful. Atmosphere: The place hasn't changed much since our last visit. It has a bright color scheme. Since there were only a few tables, it was reasonably quiet. There are a couple of TVs on each wall, which I am not a fan of. Overall: Not an inspiring meal.
