Like many, the expectation of a small place with few cars in the lot is to get quick service, a good meal, and be treated decently. In an unusual case today, I'm naming Rhonda and her rude cohort, along with other reviews that back this one up, in saying this place is not what anyone would want it to be, unless you've been going there for years, and these two ignorant, rude, and nasty waitresses know you well. This is sad, but also, maybe expected after reading about how nasty the owner was with someone making a complaint about trash in the lot where they are located. I get no pleasure tearing into the work of others, BUT, in these expensive days there's nothing wrong with expecting to get decent service and food when paying for the two, beyond mediocre, bacon egg and cheese on Kaiser roll sandwiches for over 26 dollars - and don't dare ask for extra salt! They'll not give you any because there's a tiny pinch included with your utensils. Don't ask for the food to be warm, or your home fries be crispy, as they'll not comply, and act like you either shouldn't have asked for anything, let alone be there, and to expect nothing less next time - did I mention this happened on three different occasions, almost exactly screwed up each time in the same ways?!? Call me what you will, but there was nothing asked for that should have put these two mean women in a mood to mistreat me and others around me. As a matter of fact, it's quite distressing that people like this are the face of any establishment with wretched attitudes and the inappropriate way my self and others have been treated there. The sooner the owners are made aware of the mornings ruined by dealing with these two trolls, the better, and if she already knows and feels these two creatures are worthy of defending, then may this place rot in the netherworld, and fail here in Juno, because they don't represent what a gorgeous place like Juno is, nor should they have anything to do in serving food to humans. read more

The food is ok and I think a little pricey for what they offer. The other day I went by with a few friends after a beach workout, the place smelled so strong of Windex and Fabuloso. The toxic cleaning products smell was overwhelming. We had to take our food to go. Like I said, this place is ok. Cheap beer. I wish they had a few healthy options. They do have napkins and wrappers flying everywhere. I wish they would pick those up. We are so close to the ocean. Place should be kept a little cleaner without the toxic chemicals from the cleaning product. read more

We only just started eating breakfast at Cathy's, and it's great! The atmosphere is pleasent and mellow. It's a great to stop before or after the beach, and their potato souffle (sp?) Is awesome! Their price point is also very reasonable, and they have outdoor seating available. I highly recommend eating at Cathy's. read more

It wasn't great but wasn't awful. I love the idea that it is a local casual place. The menu has a lot of choices and I have only been there twice so I'd like to maybe give it another shot. I had the fish of the day wrap. I asked wHat the fish of the day was and the waitress said "a whitefish" which I thought wasn't very precise. The wrap was actually really good and the fish was fresh. The bLackened flavor was great. The fries were not very good. It's a super casual place so don't expect gourmet. They have fresh sandwiches and a lot of variety. The staff was friendly and the food came out fast. I would say it's worth a visit but there are probably better places (Captain Charlie's nexttdoor). I dropped a star because I feel like the prices were higher than they should be for a casual lunch. read more

Annoying '50s music played too loud. Order took a while even though place was almost empty. Wings were soggy. Kid burger was tiny. Adult burger was pre-made cheap frozen patty. And they filled the blue cheese up barely half way. Not a fan. Server was nice and did swap fries for broccoli on the kid meal, but didn't sound like this was a normal thing. read more

I have been going to Cathy's for many years, it is the best home town restaurant near the beach, the service is personal and very courteous, the food is awesome, wraps, sandwiches, great breakfasts and smoothies. Whether grilled or blackened, salmon can easily be overcooked. The test of the chef is whether the salmon shreds when you fork into it, or whether it's hard. The salmon topping my summer salad (a mix of greens, tomatoes, and fruits) was hard. That's why I give this review 4 stars. The rest of the salad hit the mark and filled me up. read more

Little hole-in-the-wall place with decent food and good value. I've eaten here for three years now (3 Springs). Previously, it seemed like Cathy's just got overflow business from people who didn't want to wait at another restaurant around the corner (which I can't remember the name of). Recently, though, it seems like people are coming there as their primary choice. Crunchy grouper sandwich is the goto dish there, but I also like their fish & chips. I hear they have a decent breakfast but I don't get up early enough to eat that meal during vacation. There isn't much seating there, maybe a little more outside than inside, but not by much. A neat touch is the plastic sandwich bags full of water they hang up outside next to the tables. Evidently, they're there to ward off flying insects. Not many flying bugs out in March, so I don't know how effective they really are. We ordered carry-out this time and gave them over half an hour to put it all together. We still had to wait another 15 min for the order. There were over 10 meals in the order, and the place was packed (even though it was almost 7:00 pm). So the wait may not have been too bad actually. We just had a beer and sat down when a table opened outside. My order was a little messed up but that might have been done by the person who called in the order. With 10 meals, it was quite a feat. I was supposed to get two sides but only got one. No big deal because what I has really filled me up. If you're looking for a very casual hole-in-the-wall place with good food, try Cathy's. read more

Came here for lunch with a group from work. It really looks like a mom and pop whole in the wall. There were not many seats. The decor was cute. The food looked awesome. I got cheese steak with sweet potato fries and it was really good. I would come again but for lunch only. read more

Great location near the beach, good food...a very rustic place. Turkey bacon avocado wrap is excellent! Wish we could eat here more often but they don't allow dogs. Great place! Ate there for breakfast and loved it! The food was great, the staff was courteous and friendly and the atmosphere is really cool with all sorts of eclectic pictures and signs on the wall. The 2 egg breakfast special is a great deal at $4.50, but if you're looking for a little something more try the French Special (potatoes, melted cheese, sausage gravy, eggs and toast), freaking delicious!!! Update. I still really like this place, but the last few times I've been there, the service has been a little slower and less friendly. Also, the last two times I've been there for breakfast on Saturdays people have walked in literally a minute or two after 11am and servers refused to let them order breakfast and those people have left. I mean, I know the people there are working hard and it is supposed to end at 11am, but seriously would it really be that hard to whip up a few extra eggs at 11:02 vs. 10:59? You want to sit in the back of a black top asphalt parking lot and eat on wooden picnic tables..(uncomfortable). ? The food is hardly what I would call good...fair to bad. The porch has napkins and straws and what ever blowing around..no one came to pick up anything. It seems a few dedicated customers eat there.. Very friendly with the waitress... We saw a new couple pull up , get out of their car look around and leave. Sorry we went there. I could see inside ..very tiny..maybe a couple of tables. read more
