Absolutely delicious. Came here with a party of four during restaurant week and we ordered all of the available options so we could try everything offered. The service was great and the restaurant itself has two floors of dining along with an outdoor rooftop. The complimentary pretzel bread was soft and warm and had great flavor. The appetizers were honestly great! The baby bok choy salad, while bitter had a tasty underlying flavor that made it worth it. The catch roll was good and the jalapeño was a nice touch. The crunchy rice cakes were a crowd favorite. The wagyu gyoza was good, but the weakest of the appetizers. For the entrees the branzino and truffle pasta were the unexpected stars of the show! The branzino was melt-in-your-mouth tender with an amazing flavor to it, while the pasta was rich and decadent with just enough truffle flavor to justify its naming. The steak was good but not a favorite among the party while the salmon felt a bit bland in comparison to the other dishes. We got a set of fries to accompany everything and they were good! We also got a lobster Mac & Cheese and while it was amazing, it was much more of just a lobster pasta dish than anything Mac & Cheese related. Both the sorbet and chocolate cake were ordered and both were enjoyed! The sorbet flavors were nice and tropical while the layered chocolate cake was delicious without being overly sweet. Absolutely would come here again! read more

Angry lobster mafaldine had a good amount of lobster but had nothing else. It was essentially buttered noodles with lobster. Kind of a joke for $45 or whatever it was. Everything else was pretty good. Bread with the mustard spread was great. Fish entrees were good. Interior is nice. Service is fast. read more

There were 20 of us, split in two. From The Gateway City, STL; my first time in NYC, first time flying in decades, so I packed judiciously. Being an older man i dress appropriately, especially given a dress code. Most of our party had been to NYC many times. There was a strict itinerary that included Catch. World Cup frenzy added to the fun. I know how hard it is to seat large parties, we had to wait. My first recommendation is to prohibit parties larger than 5. The atmosphere was dark but lively, i waited at the sushi bar who i hoped were Itamae do their thing. Then who i thought were delivery folk or street people walked in and were seated definitely contrary to the dress code. I would not have minded if there wasnt a detailed code and i packed clothes that displaced other things i would've brought. Once seated i think they tried some service recovery and they brought this bread that was artful, flaky and absolutely delicious, it had a seasoned whipped butter that was OUTRAGEOUS! They added the spicy shrimp that made me want to slap my mama. Then it went downhill. I ordered the salmon with fava bean purée (i had no idea what that was and was not tasteful), asparagus and spinach. Brussel sprouts showed up without the veggies i ordered. I gave the salmon a 'B'. However, our gorgeous server was gracious, apologetic and comped the entire meal. I left a bit forlorn and a bit ambivalent if i would return, NYC has too many other restaurants. But try it and write a review. read more

holy moly, catch is back! I came in with medium standards and needless to say I was blown away. Also - the rooftop is open! the ambiance up there was terrific. I will say the portions are small for the price but everything we got was delicious + the service was fast. - Complimentary pretzel bread (4.5/5): buttery goodness. this alone is worth coming here for, and it tastes so good with the butter! one of the top complimentary bread at a restaurant - Tuna nicoise rice cake (5/5): generous amount of caviar, tastes so fresh and delightful - Truffle sashimi (5/5): fish was so fresh, paired with thinly sliced green onions and caviar. Stronger truffle flavor - Crudo di Catch (5/5): one of the thinnest crudo you will find. So delicious, light, fresh and bright! - Baked crab rolls (4.5/5): these were the perfect size and the crab inside is so large and plump and juicy - Hellfire roll (3.5/5): not my favorite (spicy tuna is mushy) but I am also not a huge spicy tuna lover. Its really good though but wish there was a bit more crunch factor in the roll - Otoro with caviar (4/5): classic, tastes as you expect, nothing mindblowing - Lobster mac and cheese (5/5): highly highly recommend. The lobster chunks are delicious and the rigatoni is perfectly al dente. Does not even taste too cheesy which is why I loved it so much - tasted more like vodka rigatoni with lobster :D - NY streak (4/5): I'm not a huge steak person but this was pretty good. Cooked medium, nice amount of fat without too much, and a nice crispy crust. Also thin enough too my liking so it does not feel overly heavy - Baby bok choy salad (4/5): I actually really liked this one - thought it was super light and refreshing and perfectly complemented the steak. Had a nice crunch factor from the bokchoy and candied pumpkin seeds Amazing meal, great for a group or celebration when you want to splurge a bit! read more

Traveled from Philadelphia to NYC for restaurant week. The restaurant of choice was Catch NYC. When we entered there was a gentleman that greeted us and requested we take the elevator up. When we arrived inside the restaurant we were asked if we preferred to sit outside. The weather was beautiful so we opted for the outside seating. We received complimentary pretzel croissant bread ( a nice start to the meal). I ordered the catch roll, mushroom truffle pasta, and the hit me cake from the restaurant week menu. The catch roll was delicious. The mushroom pasta was cooked perfectly al dente but the sauce was a little overbearing for my taste. The hit me cake I'm sure is a favorite dessert with the restaurant! Everyone that assisted was warm and friendly. Great dinner experience! read more

Came back to @catch after our first visit about 2 years ago during NYC Restaurant Week, and after seeing so many recent videos about changes to the menu, I had high expectations this place did NOT disappoint. It completely exceeded them. The ambiance was beautiful, the service was top-tier, and the staff were incredibly attentive from start to finish. Everything flowed perfectly, from drinks to appetizers to mains. The timing of the food was spot on, and every single dish had me raving. Even the complimentary bread & butter was unforgettable seriously that good. Every bite, every sip just a great experience all around. What we ordered: Food:* East Coast Oysters* Catch Roll* Crispy Chicken Bao Buns* Crunchy Rice Cakes Drinks:* Lychee Martini* Espresso Martini* Lychee Sake-tini* Watermelon Smash Dessert:* "Hit Me" Chocolate Cake Complimentary:* Bread & Sorbet Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. Already looking forward to going back and trying more. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Catch is back & sexier than ever. Sat at the bar and first there's a sushi hour 5-7 weekdays which is a deal! $1 oysters which were small but excellent and a huge and fresh $5 edamame. I had to ask for the pretzel bread and it's divine reminiscent of Crown Shy. Ordered a salmon with fava bean puree.& the fava bean purer was giving. Total $48 before tax and top read more

The food was very good! Only docking a star because the prices are insane. And the service was just mid. The food was good but truly the biggest stand out star is the complimentary bread. It's so outstanding haha. read more

The complimentary bread placed on the tables was absolutely delicious, it was a sort of small croissant pretzel loaf. I ordered the crispy shrimp, grilled salmon & fave beans and baked lobster Mac and cheese. Only the shrimp and salmon came out. The food was pretty good. The service wasn't the best. We did have reservations, our table wasn't ready when we arrived so we were sat at a bar until one was available. The restaurant is very nice, it was clean, definitely was aesthetically pleasing. read more

What a fun reservation to score! Catch did a rebranding and it was such a great experience, i have to say the service was quite slow and having to wait 30 + minutes to be seated was annoying, but the food and beverages made up for it. read more

I had been going to catch id say since 2019, back then the place was wack, food wasn't all that good, they used to sit you one on top of the other and overall it was a very trashy and bad experience. If I had to give the old catch a rating it would be 2/5 stars. However, the new catch, the one that went through a total top down renovation, this place is an easy 5/5. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, it gives off like a rich yacht vibe, wood accents, green coloring and just a wonderful scenery. They made more space for customers, you don't sit one on top of the other, there's plenty of space and the chairs / booths are super comfortable. The drinks are amazing, they are made extremely well, we quite literally tried everything on the menu, all of it is incredible!!! I love the bao buns, the rolls and sushi a sashimi! Their sea bass is one of the best I ever had, the steak honestly was a let down I would not recommend it, but surprisingly the truffle butter was better than anything I've had from any steak house. The hit me cake is also so much fun and delicious, the fudge is out of this world. We have already been twice and will be looking forward to our third time! They really did a successful turn around read more

This was our annual framily trip to see the tree. We needed a place with amazing food and drinks. We found it. The drinks were great. I loved the Banana Foster Old Fashioned. Catch is a classic hotspot in the Meatpacking District and for their 15th anniversary, they revamped the restaurant and added 15 new menu items. The bao buns with fried chicken and caviar were one of their new additions and definitely a standout that goes great with the wasabi avocado ranch sauce. The complimentary bread is as soft as a freshly baked croissant and pairs perfectly with the sweet whipped honey mustard butter. The tempura rock shrimp doused in spicy mayo is an addicting appetizer. The tuna Niçoise rice cakes are an acquired taste with caviar, bluefin tuna, and briny olives. The miso wagyu flatiron is memorable with a sweet glaze and a mushroom crust. The most unique cocktails are the buttery macadamia white negroni with matcha and Bombay sapphire gin as well as the Bananas Foster old fashioned with amaretto, coconut water, whiskey and rye bourbon. The Hit Me cake is a decadent multi layer dessert with brownie and white chocolate ice cream oozing out after smashing the top layer. read more

A truly exceptional dining experience from start to finish I had an incredible dinner at Catch in NYC, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I was seated, the atmosphere felt electric--vibrant, stylish, and perfect for a night out without being overly loud or chaotic. It's the kind of spot that instantly feels special. What I Ordered & Loved Starters * Shishito Peppers - Perfectly blistered with a subtle heat and that addictive Szechuan sauce. Could've eaten another order. * Caesar Salad - Sounds simple, but this one is elevated. Crisp baby romaine, a soft-boiled organic egg, and garlicky focaccia croutons... truly next-level. Classics * Truffle Sashimi - WOW. Fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tuna and hamachi with a black truffle purée that took the whole dish over the top. A must-order. * Wagyu Gyoza - Silky, flavorful, and paired with a serrano-chili ponzu that gave it the right hit of brightness. * Catch Roll - Sweet crab, salmon, and honey miso--beautifully balanced and delicious. Entrées * Wagyu Fried Rice - Absolutely packed with flavor. Shiitake mushrooms, Chinese sausage, and a perfectly fried egg... comfort food but elevated. * Herb Roasted Branzino - Light, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The creamy vegetable basmati rice it's served with might be one of the best sides I've had in Miami. * Center-Cut Filet Mignon - Tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly the way I requested. Side * Grilled Asparagus - Bright and fresh with a citrus vinaigrette that complemented the heavier dishes perfectly. Dessert * "Hit Me" Chocolate Cake - Believe the hype. A dramatic presentation with layers of brownie, white chocolate ice cream, and that "Klondike" shell that shatters when tapped. Fun AND delicious. * Sorbet - A refreshing finish with a clean, bright flavor. Overall Experience The service was polished and attentive without being intrusive. The staff knew the menu well and made great recommendations. The pace of the meal felt relaxed, and every dish arrived beautifully plated. Catch is absolutely worth a visit whether you're celebrating, hosting friends, or just want a memorable dinner in Miami Beach. Between the ambiance, the standout dishes, and the exceptional service, this restaurant earns every one of its five stars. I'll definitely be back! read more

The Standouts: * The Seafood: The Bluefin Otoro was buttery perfection--melts in your mouth instantly. We also did the Tuna Niçoise Rice Cakes and the Baked King Crab Hand Roll, both of which had incredible textures. If you're a sushi lover, the Catch Roll is a non-negotiable. * The Mains: You cannot leave without ordering the Angry Lobster Mafaldine. The pasta shape holds the sauce perfectly, and the lobster was tender with just the right amount of kick. * The Bites: Don't sleep on the Crispy Chicken Bao Buns. They were the perfect "comfort" addition to a largely seafood-heavy meal. read more

This restaurant is a stunner. The vibe is dark and moody. It's a little hidden down a dark hallway to the elevator that pops you out on the second story restaurant. Obviously a very trendy spot. We were seated in a romantic corner booth with a great view of things. Our server Bailey was outstanding and made sure we were well educated on the menu selections and drinks. We ordered the Caesar salad which has big juicy pieces of bacon. Next up the Wagyu surf and turf roll which was my favorite thing of the night. We also had the crispy shrimp, truffle fries and split a filet. Everything was outstanding and we decided to break our rule on this one and visit again if we have guests in town. Very impressive spot and they have a rooftop bar that we hope to try next time. read more

Decided to revisit Catch after coming a few years ago before the rebrand/ re launch and it was such a beautiful experience and a feast! Not only is this restaurant beautiful visually, the staff and servers are also extremely courteous and inviting and it accentuates the wonderful atmosphere and dining experience here. I wanted to treat my sister after her graduation, so we made a reservation on a weekday evening and it was SO worth it! I love the location as we got to watch the sunset nearby on Little Island. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the doorman and led upstairs to the restaurant itself and it smells so wonderful in that entry way. The restaurant is situated on the second floor and there is a rooftop which will open a bit later into the summer season. We of course started with sushi, and our favorites are the wagyu rolls! These are delectable and melt in your mouth. I could honestly eat 6 rolls of them alone. The waiters also give you a complimentary roll of bread with garlic butter, and they place fresh fruit into your water. I ordered a mojito as a nice refresher. For appetizers we also got the rice cakes and the Wagyu gyoza. These were relatively small quick bites but executed wonderfully. All of the seafood is so fresh here- I highly recommend any of the sushi rolls! For mains we ordered the half lobster frites and the branzino. The lobster is accompanied with fries and they are delicious. Everything is made fresh to order and you can taste it. As dessert we opted for the donuts which you can fill at the table with a variety of fillings: cream, caramel, chocolate and a delish raspberry filling. The opulence and quality of everything was such a bonus and good experience and I can't wait to revisit! Highly recommend for a special outing or just a great dinner in a legendary restaurant! read more

Had an event here and Lisa was so over-the-top kind and welcoming! Beautiful place with amazing service and hospitality.

Catch NYC has an incredibly chic, sophisticated atmosphere that perfectly complements the energy of the restaurant. We had a Saturday night reservation and had a great time. The restaurant has a nice aesthetic and service was good. The complementary bread was great! The Bao buns were slightly disappointing especially since there was a two piece minimum. The steak was tasty and the Lobster pasta was fantastic. The fries were great but 9 bucks for a couple sauces seems excessive. The hit me cake was a nice treat but the strawberry shortcake was lacking. read more

Catch will forever be one of my favorite restaurants! The ambiance, the service, the drinks... everything is just so elite. The best Crunchy Rice cakes! Or "crispy rice cakes" I can eat an infinite amount! Unfortunately, they removed the Mac n Cheese from their menu... but I ordered the catch roll which is always GREAT, the truffle fries, truffle sashimi and the crispy (rock) shrimp which is also a favorite of mine. I've never had a bad experience at catch, 10/10! read more

The waitress was very kind, but the manager was extremely rude. After we had already paid (including a 20% tip), he came over saying, "Are you done?" while we were still finishing. I came during restaurant week for my birthday celebration. The ambience was great, cocktails were pretty good, the front desk reception was phenomenal, but the waiter was just OK. The bathrooms were clean lol. I got the Wagyu steak and it was exceptional! Probably one of the best steaks I've had in my life. My only complaint was that our meals did not come with sides and our waiter did not tell us, so we had to order our sides after our main entrées came out. The side came out pretty shortly after, but the mashed potatoes were kind of runny, it was a little weird. read more

If you want to go to a hot spot in NY well this is one of THEE hot spots. Not quite sure if we made reservations but we came as a group of 8 and the food was scrumptious!!! We got the steak, their sushi which they light to char it at table side, their lobster macaroni a personal favorite, and their YUMMY cocktails oh my I must have had a handful of their "Lush Lemonades" which consisted of grey goose, lemon, vanilla, and cold pressed apple juice. Yum!!! The service is absolutely top tier!!! As I said the servers will torch your sushi table side which I thought was so cool! They're also very nice and VERY quick with the small plates and drinks! Our server who was amazing definitely wasted no time doing that with our party of 8 which couldn't have been easy! Mad props to them for that! Now their restaurant in and itself? Gorgeous!!! So gorgeous that we saw Mariah Carey herself dining there now what the heck!? She was surrounded by security and her friends obviously but how cool is that?! I guess how you know this is a good spot to go to for drinks and dinner if you're in the meatpacking district!! Absolutely LOVED it, loved the view, it was very loud yet classy fun, I can't wait to try the one in LA as I have tried the one in Vegas as well! read more

Alright, I recently went back to Catch to try their ribeye steak and was impressed. I am super picky when it comes to steaks (I usually only get 30-40 days dry aged). The ribeye wasn't even dry aged but had great flavor and was cooked to perfection. I normally don't think of catch for steak (usually get the seafood options) but that has changed!! What to get: - ribeye 4/5 - crispy shrimp 5/5 - crispy chicken bao bun 4/5 (kinda like a fancy mcchicken lol) - hellfire and wagyu surf and turf roll 4/5 - pretzel bread 4/5 - hit me cake 4/5 - doughnuts 4/5 I've been to catch a couple of times and recommend going because of how consistent it's been. Everything we had was solid. Great vibes, good service and good food! read more

I love catch, I have been here a few times. They recently went through a renovation. We went on a Saturday night and I was dissapointed. I've gotten use to the great food but this time it left alot to be desired. I love the rock shrimp which is what I always go for and this time it tasted I little different. I ordered truffle fries and they were a bit greasy and sticking together. The mushroom pasta is always delicious a must try. The branzino was good but nothing to write home about. Attended a friends birthday dinner here earlier this week and here is my full breakdown of what we had. Appetizers were ordered for the table and everyone got to choose their own mains. I had a watermelon mojito mocktail to start, very fresh and not too sweet. For appetizers we shared spicy tuna crispy rice ( so good could have had a whole plate of it) Truffle sashimi ( very fresh but truffle sauce was sweet?) Catch roll (full of yummy crab and they torch the salmon on top at the table) Spicy edamame and charred shishito peppers Truffle fries ( crispy light and yummy) For my main I chose the wagyu surf and turf roll which had lobster, wagyu beef, truffle, and crispy potato sticks. It was insane. Never had anything like it and I'm glad I tried it. For dessert they brought out the smash and I had a small bite. Rich chocolate cake layered with more chocolate and ice cream? Say less. This place is cute, warm interior lighting, and good food for a dinner party indeed. read more

Catch NYC was on another level. After taking the elevator to the 4th floor, we entered into a space that had a decadent outdoor seating area and the entire restaurant was fully committed by the time we left. The waitstaff was exceptional. From start to finish, we were treated with white glove service, and our glasses were never empty. The food......oh, the food. We all chose the Tasting Menu and each and every item was exquisite. The presentation was exemplary, all of the meats were cooked to perfection, well seasoned, and thoroughly enjoyed. Just when you thought it was over, they outdid themselves with the dessert. Once again, they presented us with scrumptious items, mouth-watering drizzle sauces, and unique explosions of flavor.
