Stronger truffle flavor - Crudo di Catch (5/5): one of the thinnest crudo you will find. So delicious, light, fresh and bright! - Baked crab rolls (4.5/5): these were the perfect size and the crab inside is so large and plump and juicy - Hellfire roll (3.5/5): not my favorite (spicy tuna is mushy) but I am also not a huge spicy tuna lover. Its really good though but wish there was a bit more crunch factor in the roll - Otoro with caviar (4/5): classic, tastes as you expect, nothing mindblowing - Lobster mac and cheese (5/5): highly highly recommend. The lobster chunks are delicious and the rigatoni is perfectly al dente. I had been going to catch id say since 2019, back then the place was wack, food wasn't all that good, they used to sit you one on top of the other and overall it was a very trashy and bad experience. If I had to give the old catch a rating it would be 2/5 stars. However, the new catch, the one that went through a total top down renovation, this place is an easy 5/5. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, it gives off like a rich yacht vibe, wood accents, green coloring and just a wonderful scenery. They made more space for customers, you don't sit one on top of the other, there's plenty of space and the chairs / booths are super comfortable. The drinks are amazing, they are made extremely well, we quite literally tried everything on the menu, all of it is incredible!!! I love the bao buns, the rolls and sushi a sashimi! Decided to revisit Catch after coming a few years ago before the rebrand/ re launch and it was such a beautiful experience and a feast! Not only is this restaurant beautiful visually, the staff and servers are also extremely courteous and inviting and it accentuates the wonderful atmosphere and dining experience here. I wanted to treat my sister after her graduation, so we made a reservation on a weekday evening and it was SO worth it! I love the location as we got to watch the sunset nearby on Little Island. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the doorman and led upstairs to the restaurant itself and it smells so wonderful in that entry way. The restaurant is situated on the second floor and there is a rooftop which will open a bit later into the summer season. We of course started with sushi, and our favorites are the wagyu rolls! These are delectable and melt in your mouth. I could honestly eat 6 rolls of them alone. The waiters also give you a complimentary roll of bread with garlic butter, and they place fresh fruit into your water. I ordered a mojito as a nice refresher. For appetizers we also got the rice cakes and the Wagyu gyoza. These were relatively small quick bites but executed wonderfully. All of the seafood is so fresh here- I highly recommend any of the sushi rolls! For mains we ordered the half lobster frites and the branzino. The lobster is accompanied with fries and they are delicious. Everything is made fresh to order and you can taste it. As dessert we opted for the donuts which you can fill at the table with a variety of fillings: cream, caramel, chocolate and a delish raspberry filling. This restaurant is a stunner. The vibe is dark and moody. It's a little hidden down a dark hallway to the elevator that pops you out on the second story restaurant. Obviously a very trendy spot. We were seated in a romantic corner booth with a great view of things. Our server Bailey was outstanding and made sure we were well educated on the menu selections and drinks. We ordered the Caesar salad which has big juicy pieces of bacon. Next up the Wagyu surf and turf roll which was my favorite thing of the night. I love catch, I have been here a few times. They recently went through a renovation. We went on a Saturday night and I was dissapointed. I've gotten use to the great food but this time it left alot to be desired. I love the rock shrimp which is what I always go for and this time it tasted I little different. I ordered truffle fries and they were a bit greasy and sticking together. The mushroom pasta is always delicious a must try. The branzino was good but nothing to write home about. Alright, I recently went back to Catch to try their ribeye steak and was impressed. I am super picky when it comes to steaks (I usually only get 30-40 days dry aged). The ribeye wasn't even dry aged but had great flavor and was cooked to perfection. I normally don't think of catch for steak (usually get the seafood options) but that has changed!! We had kennys espresso martini which is made with tequila the meatpacking Manhattan. Both drinks were really good and strong. We really enjoyed their sushi. Catch is having a moment with it's reopening but the customer service is at an all time low. Having been a patron of this restaurant numerous times over the last decade, I made a reservation weeks ago and my group planned an entire evening around it. The night before the reservation I was left a voicemail that they were no longer able to accommodate my reservation because they had chosen to prioritize an alternative last minute group. Upon calling back, they told me the earliest they could re-book me was May 22 - over a month away. This establishment's inability to manage their reservations will prove to be quite the issue for them in a competitive market like NYC where reservations are something restaurants need to get right. read more

After taking the elevator to the 4th floor, we entered into a space that had a decadent outdoor seating area and the entire restaurant was fully committed by the time we left. The waitstaff was exceptional. From start to finish, we were treated with white glove service, and our glasses were never empty. The food......oh, the food. We all chose the Tasting Menu and each and every item was exquisite. The presentation was exemplary, all of the meats were cooked to perfection, well seasoned, and thoroughly enjoyed.
