My wife & I love this place! All of the food is great. Kevin & the staff are so kind & very attentive. We ordering to go or delivery the food still holds its flavor & heat. Highly recommend. We visited Vietnam earlier this year & Saigon Bistro always brings us back.

Nice, reliable Vietnamese food in a neighborhood that doesn't have a lot of authentic Asian food. I've had their Curry Vegetable Stew lemongrass stir fry before, and both were delicious. My sister really enjoyed the tofu mushroom banh mi she had and said the bread was nice and fresh and the sauce was just the right ratio. Overall good spot. We've come here during the summer and winter, and during the summer there were a bunch of flies inside so that was annoying. No complaints when we came in winter. Will definitely be back.

Came here for dinner. The ambiance is enjoyable and good for conversation. The Service is on point and attentive. We had: * Spring Rolls: crispy and fresh. Taste good when combined with the sauce * Pho Beef combo: round steak, brisket, meatballs, tripe, and tendon. I'd say the portion is kinda small vs the biased places that i get in Chinatown Manhattan and Flushing Queens. The ones that i get in NY are much more savory than here. I guess I am subjectively biased. I'd say the only difference between this Pho is that the broth tasted natural and without any msg. Otherwise, wish it provided more proteins... Street parking should be available but depending on time and date it might be hard to find

The pad Thai is not good I've never had orange noodle in pad thai? Very greasy, meat not cooked with noodle. No tofu, almost no peanut Get something else! this is not pad thai

(Beef Combo Pho: D) - The beef combo pho is the highlight pho dish will all the cuts of beef including tendon, tripe, eye round, and meatballs. Unfortunately, despite being the most complete pho on the menu, I felt that the fundamental basis of the dish, the broth was significantly underdeveloped. The flavor was light but soothing when drinking it alone, but once its added to the noodles, its diluted and too bland to taste the hard work of infusing those rich spices. Furthermore, the eye round was packaged with the broth, so it was significantly overcooked by the time it made its way to home from the takeout order. At almost $20, I felt that this dish was unfortunately not well executed in comparison to other places I've tried, although it is one of the better places in the Jersey City area. We're new to the Jersey City Heights area & this is a solid pho spot. The pho is more on the lighter end and isn't as savory as to what I'm used to back in Flushing, NY but nonetheless, still good and satisfying. The owner is so nice & staff is very attentive. The spring rolls were pretty good too, just wish it came with more lettuce to wrap them with. So far, we've been back every 2 weeks :) and will continue to come!

Decent. Packed differently than other pho spots I've ordered from but the broth was pretty decent. Good amount of herbs for seasoning.

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

I will update this review if I'm able to reach them during biz hours for a resolution but this is easily the most disappointing meal I've had all year. Save your hard earned money and go to Ela's greek or literally anywhere else on this block, even Dominos. EDIT: Went in next day and spoke to a manager, only mentioned portion size and showed the picture, didn't get a chance to say anything about everything being overcooked. He had clearly heard these complaints about portion size before, because he immediately launched into saying the cut of beef + tendon they use for the rendang yields that as their standard portion size. He refunded the calamari. I still won't be going back and would never recommend this place, but wanted to acknowledge the resolution. Also my husband unfortunately wasn't there to speak to them, but he's been in restaurants for 25 years and knows they served chuck, not a fancy cut...
