(Overall: B) - Banh Pho seems to offer a reasonable Vietnamese option for those on the Jersey side of the Hudson, which palatable food and a number of popular options. (Pho Dac Biet: C) - For $18, this bowl of pho was quite small and lackluster. While the broth brought comfort, the portion of noodles and meat was quite small to justify the price point, although of reasonable quality. (Pork Banh Mi: A) - This is comfort food in a sandwich. We have tender pork paired with mild pickled vegetables and a creamy mayo based sauce sandwiches in a crispy baguette. For only $10, this was quite well made and quite a steal. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Overall: +1 B Insta/Beli/TikTok: @amei_eats

The best Vietnamese around. Always get the special bahn mi, it's delectable. The pho is nice and comforting. Everything tastes fresh and made with love. The workers are very friendly and the food comes out quick. Cute, cozy, quiet, and overall awesome place to sit down and indulge in some banger food.

Usually pho tastes bland and boring to me, but this place changed my opinion! Excellent dinner for a cold night in December. This was the best pho I've ever had. The vegetarian pho had a very tasty broth; I just added a little chili oil. The thai tea was perfectly balanced. The special pho broth was very good and didn't even need any accoutrements. Only issue I had was that we ordered vegan spring rolls and one of them had pork in it. Also, the cups for water were a bit dirty. Just fyi, they are open until 9pm on Sunday. Some online sources incorrectly said 8pm. Service is decent considering the cashier is also the waitress. Hopefully they will grow and hire more help. We will definitely be back!

When you feel under the weather, sometimes you only want a bowl of pho to warm your body up, and cheer you up. Ordered special pho to go. I got my order so quick, total came up $17.06. No tip option appeared on the screen, and I appreciate it! About the pho, nothing really special about it. Broth is slightly sweet for me, couple slices of meat, sliced meatballs, a thick cut of tripe. It's an okay pho. I will be back to try their banh mi.

Ambiance (4/5): The interior is minimalistic and tight. However, the venue is bright, clean, and cozy. The tables sit on top of each other. Service (4/5): We walked in around 7:30 on a Saturday and luckily was seated immediately but the restaurant was at full capacity. There were 2 people on the floor running from the kitchen and manning the front so they were absolutely slammed with the rush hour of evening peak dinner time. Scan the QR code on the check to pay instead of waiting for them to check you out. Banh Mi (4/5): Overall, the banh mi was delicious. The lightly pickled carrots and daikon gave the sandwich a crunchy bite among the creaminess from the mayo. My qualm was that the bread was a bit dry and chewy at the same time. Wish the meat was more flavored and had cucumbers. Pho (5/5): Wow the broth has so much flavor, depth, and umami! The bowls were very generous on the portions of noodles and protein ($15-16). The rare steak cuts were silky and soft. The side platter came with bean sprouts and mint. Bo Hue (unrated): This was not for me as the dish usually contains some shrimp paste (I could taste it). The spice level was great and had a ton of variety of proteins. Warning: Sadly both my boyfriend and myself had stomach issues for the remainder of the night. While we did not experience pain, rank gas and a few trips to the bathroom for relief (Dined evening of 4/12/25)

Very excited to try out a new Asian restaurant in the neighborhood, but I Have to say that this place was pretty disappointing. Ambiance was cute from the outside...The service was not the best...they said we could sit at any table we wanted, but all the empty tables had dirty dishes which we had to sit next to during our entire meal. The pho was good but nothing to rave about. I'd much rather go to Pho Express instead or head to fort Lee. The steak cube rice was very chewy. Felt like you were eating week old beef. Don't think we will be coming back unfortunately.

The portion is very big, the broth is on the sweeter side. The service is fast and the stuff is very friendly

My boyfriend and I tried Bann Pho tonight. Orders on Toast for pick up. We were excited and then disappointed. The inside was nice. It's all redone and new. We would sit and eat there. We loved Sri Thai and were hoping something just as good would replace it. Not tonight! We would get the crab spring rolls again, the coffee, and the coconut che dessert. Everything else we had, no. Here's the breakdown: $10 Beef Brisket Bahn mi 3/10. *very little meat. All stale bread. $10 Grilled Beef Short ribs (Suon Bo 4pc) 5/10 *flavorful, but small. Also quite fatty. $15 Seafood noodle soup 5/10 *where's the seafood? Maybe four little pieces. Small slice of pork. Different. All noodle and broth. Broth was good. Not worth it. $15 Lemongrass chili chicken 9/10 *missing the chili. No spice at all. Lemongrass flavor was nice. Decent amount of chicken but not $15 worth. Rice ok. $8 Square Crab Spring Roll (nem cua be) 2pc 10/10 *crunchy, flavorful, unique. Delicious. Would get again. You can taste crab. These are fried. $0 (free for today just to try) Coconut che 10/10 *this was the best part of our meal. Coconut flavor so good. Jelly and taro and coconut meat. Would buy this. It's delicious! I do recommend this. $5 Vietnamese Iced Coffee 10/10 *stong, flavorful iced coffee and decent portion. I think it's regular milk? I couldn't have it, as I'm lactose intolerant. My boyfriend loves it though. :) We would try something else on the menu to give them another shot, but not the things we had tonight. Only the coconut, crab and coffee we would get again.

This place is a hidden gem. My wife and I have already been there twice in the first week of the opening. My wife is a Viet food aficionado. She has spent time in Vietnam and has spent many hours brewing her own Pho and makes homemade summer rolls on the regular. We have been searching for good Vietnamese food in the area and found some decent places, but not on this level. In our two visits, we tried their house special pho, house special pork rice dish, Bún bò Huế, lemongrass chicken, spring rolls and summer rolls. Thai iced tea was also excellent. Honestly everything was really really good. The depth of flavor of the pho is incomparable in this area (including Chinatown, where I lived). I am still thinking about the lemongrass chicken which was loaded with flavor and packed a punch when it came to spice. If you order it, let them know if you can't handle too much heat. To top it off the young lady who I think is the owner is super personable, and even gifted us a free dessert. From talking to her, we found out that her family owned a restaurant in Vietnam and wanted to bring that goodness to Hoboken. Mission accomplished. PS make sure to add dollops of the mom's homemade Chili oil to any dish. Wow!

I used to come to this spot for Sri Thai years ago, but was pleasantly surprised to find Bahn Pho here. I got the summer roll, Bahn Mi, and the Pho. the Bahn Mi was exceptional as would expect from the name and was very cleanly made and tasty. The Pho was the usual. The grilled meat was very well done with a juicy taste to it. Only reason why this was not a 5 star was the lack of communication as the server did not know english at all and because the whole restaurant was freezing, did not seem like there was a heater anywhere.

Takeout was so quick and cheap! Bahn mi is one of my favorite foods and this place is easily in my new top three. Will have to come back soon.

Bahn Pho in Hoboken is a hidden gem! The pho is rich and flavorful, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Vietnamese comfort food.

I will update this review if I'm able to reach them during biz hours for a resolution but this is easily the most disappointing meal I've had all year. Save your hard earned money and go to Ela's greek or literally anywhere else on this block, even Dominos. EDIT: Went in next day and spoke to a manager, only mentioned portion size and showed the picture, didn't get a chance to say anything about everything being overcooked. He had clearly heard these complaints about portion size before, because he immediately launched into saying the cut of beef + tendon they use for the rendang yields that as their standard portion size. He refunded the calamari. I still won't be going back and would never recommend this place, but wanted to acknowledge the resolution. Also my husband unfortunately wasn't there to speak to them, but he's been in restaurants for 25 years and knows they served chuck, not a fancy cut...

The soy garlic fried chicken tenders were a highlight: fresh, flavorful, and served in a portion more than big enough to share. The sauce leans sweeter than your usual soy garlic so keep that in mind. The make-your-own Bibimbap bowl is a great concept. Everything in the bowl was solid--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you'd hope for. I do wish there were a few more side options to mix things up a bit, but overall, very satisfying. The galbi was on the sweeter side compared to other places I've tried, but still really pleasant. Only note is that my drink didn't show up until about 15 minutes into the meal. Seems like the kitchen forgot about it until someone else ordered a couple of drinks and they had to fire up the drink station.
