Christ on a chopstick, I haven't seen an $8 sandwich since I was in grad school (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth)! We started with the Tamal Cubano, which was fantastically delicious, though the accompanying sauce wasn't hot at all. A shame, because it was well-flavored--just needed a lot more capsaicin. My Cubano was very well done, but barely had any pickle in it, which made me sad. I opted to add fries and wasn't sad about the small, thin ones I got (very McDonald's-shaped). However, the Pechuga de Pollo Adobada con Escabeche de Calabaza was a disappointment. The grilled chicken was drastically overcooked, probably because they used really lean breast meat. The accompanying Caribbean pumpkin was interesting, but too small. The other side of rice and beans was perfect, though--great bean texture and lots of savory flavor. With tax and tip included, our meal came out to $33. $33! You can't even get lunch for one person for that price at 90% of Manhattan restaurants south of Central Park. I could've cried with wonder at the bill. Time travel is real guys--at least financially. Just hop into El DeLorean and come to Chango.

We got tres leches for dessert and unfortunately it was still frozen and did not taste good. We let the waiter know and he quickly resolved. Recommend if you're looking for a cheap and quick lunch/dinner.

It's a very casual place. You order through your phone. We ordered sodas to drink and karaage chicken and shrimp shumai dumplings. The apps were delicious. Our ramen arrived fast. I had the Tonkotsu ramen and my gf had the shoyu ramen. I prefer the thin noodles and pork broth so I was happy with my choice. We both finished as much as we could. It was a good portion size. Overall it's a good spot.

Plenty of tables and good for groups. There are some outdoor seating as well if it's crowded or nice outside. My family tried the below: -Miso Ramen - broth was ok, not my favorite. -Tonkotsu Ramen - broth is ok, not my favorite. I guess I like to have a little spiciness in my soup and we didn't choose the spicy Tonkotsu instead. -Pan-fried Vegetable Gyoza - I thought it was good but my kids said it was ok. -Chicken Katsu Curry Rice plate - my son said it was ok but he didn't finish it. -Tan Tan Ramen - broth was very good and plenty of ingredients The one thing I don't like is thin ramen noodles but that's me. Everyone has their favorites. Sometimes Japanese ramen places like it thin. Service was friendly, attentive and maybe our server was the owner but he was funny. [109R,2025]

Let this update and his responses to other reviews below guide your decision on dining here. There are several reviews here and on Google denoting that he bullies and name calls his customers. Two Sundays ago, I stopped in for a simple order -- a coffee, a side of eggs, and an avocado (I'm on a medical diet, so I keep my meals basic). Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The server seemed confused by the order and, rather than asking for help, incorrectly entered it. While my coffee came out promptly, I waited 25 minutes with no food -- even as customers who arrived after me and ordered full entrées were served before I was. I finally asked the manager on duty for an update, he apologized and admitted the order had never been properly rung in. My food eventually came out around the 35-minute mark and him going up to the food counter to figure out what happened. He was very kind and offered a refund and said it would process in 3-5 days since only the general manager/owner could issue it. I requested a receipt for the refund but was told I would simply see it back on my card. The refund never appeared. When I followed up via email last week, I was told they "don't recall this," and they have since stopped responding. Very disappointing experience and even more disappointing follow-through. I can't recommend dining here unless you're comfortable risking poor service and being out your money.

It's definitely eye-catching, though I can't quite imagine how comfortable it would feel in the winter with all that glass and high ceilings. It seems to attract a crowd, often with families and kids that can make it a little noisy, but we lucked out with a more peaceful environment during our visit. When it's quiet, it's a beautiful spot to enjoy a coffee and soak in the design. Worth a visit if you like unique spaces and don't mind a bit of bustle. Food and drinks were great! Family time was had :)

Since my last visit, I had only ventured there once for a drink, but it had been far from a first choice. I loved that they had live music and a casual vibe, but my past culinary experience had been a letdown. However, I was very pleasantly surprised on my recent excursion. We grabbed seats at the rustic bar and enjoyed friendly service and pints of Kane Head High, my favorite beer. The crisp, refreshing brew went well with my cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. While that might sound like an odd "snack", I selected it because it was one of the few appetizers on the menu that was not fried. The broth seemed to interestingly be made of tomatoes and potentially other vegetables. It was packed with large, spiral noodles, shredded chicken, and fresh spinach. It was an interesting rendition for sure, but it was also very tasty, despite the fact that it was rather greasy. I was also bummed that it did not have more chicken and that it had not been served with any crackers. Oh well! Overall, it at least had left me with a much better impression than my last trip had.
