Love this place! This is a small restaurant with a cozy ambiance. The staff is wonderful and is always friendly and welcoming. The food... is outstanding. There is a small-ish menu, but what they do serve they REALLY know how to cook. For us vegans, there are numerous delicious salads, but my favorite is the cauliflower stir fry (bottom of the menu). It's delicious! If you're looking for an appetizer, the brussel sprouts are a go-to. They are perfectly crispy and the flavor is amazing. Decided to try out a Catablu Grille last weekend. Food was great, so was service. Server was wonderful! Menu was about 80% seafood. I was hoping for more of a variety of foods that was not seafood related. Experience was ok. Will I return? Maybe. Take note. Don't take your kids there. Not accommodating. Biggest turn off for me was the fact I had to change my baby on the disgusting and completely unsanitary bathroom floor.No changing table in either or mens or women's bathroom. Bathrooms are plenty big enough for one. Last time I checked it was a law to have a clean, sanitary changing table in all public bathrooms. Hope management can see this and do something about it by adding changing tables in the public bathrooms to accommodate all guests. read more

The food is wonderful and the menu creative. Enjoyed safe, patio dining during Covid. Love their versatile cocktail menu as well. Highly recommended. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food but more in the "special occasion" range for us. Check out their daily specials or their "Savor the Fort" menu for some extra value. You know that you have a winner, when you call up to order a salad before arriving ask a take out item. We were in between multiple evening events with our group of four, one had a few minutes and was taking her Harvest Salad to go. I think the quality of the food is excellent. I got the special pork chop that was fantastic last night. The disappointment was the menu changes. Where's the beef? No beef options in appetizers anymore or beef options on the salads. The only thing is a ground beef lettuce wrap. Their steak flatbread was great but sadly taken off the menu. You can't even get beef on a salad. If you want to spend 40$ plus for a filet or rib eye that is way too much to eat then this place is for you. Anything more with it is extra. read more

Excellent from start to finish. Martini was delicious and effective. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection and cut like butter. I ate all my veggies for the first time because I couldn't get enough. I later learned the old location was more electic and homey. I like the menu. Good options without going crazy. I'm imagining with all the veg/vegan options that this place is frequented often by those folks. I started with the chicken and white bean soup which was solid - perhaps a bit over salted but still good. Main course was the simply prepared petite filet. It came with a hash of brussel sprouts, sweet potato, parsnip and was absolutely devine. The filet was well prepared but it maybe the first time I've been blown away by the veg. I was in town from Chicago for work and figured I would try this place out. While I waited for my food, I was offered bread to start. This bread was mouthwatering and served with butter, delicious crackers, and olive spread. All while I enjoyed a glass of rose'. I didn't need to wait long for the entree, the walleye was so tender and flaky with excellent flavor: savory, smoky, spicy, etc. I devoured every bite; I will certainly be back when I am in town again. Trent was my bartender/server and was very friendly, energetic, and accommodating. I finished off the night with a Manhattan that was perfectly spirit forward, but not overwhelming. I booked a party here for this evening. The service was wonderful and the food was fabulous. I ordered the apple salad and duck flat bread. With tangy grapes, bite-size pieces of green apple and a caramelized pecan topping and blue cheese crumblies, I had no problem cleaning my plate. Yum! Yum!! The duck with mushroom over spinach and a creamy spread was delectable! I had an indulgent blueberry lemon drop martini with my meal. I was visiting family in Fort Wayne from San Diego and I will say the food was good. It is presented nicely, and the taste was adequate overall. We had the bruschetta flatbread and it was very nice. Crisp, quality and tasty ingredients that worked well together. I don't recall the name but their crunchy spicy shrimp was very nice. Good size, flavor and the texture was perfect. Now the mahi sandwich was just ahhhh. It was constructed and garnished well with a great sauce, lettuce, tomato and their chipolte tartar sauce. Nice sandwich but it lacked flavor. Our waiter was just a tad slow and behind the eight ball, not far enough behind it to complain but he was walking a thin line. Strip mall location with some outside seasonal seating. Saturday night reservation for 7:15. When seated the hostess uses a stamp on the cardboard table top that tells you the specials of the evening. Started with drinks,an avocado margarita and a pineapple flavored martini. The martini was superior to the margarita. Appetizer was Bang Bang shrimp. Spicy & good. Soup for the evening was Shrimp Bisque. Nice flavor but not enough shrimp to worry about. Wife had a wedge salad. Fresh & crisp with blue cheese crumbles & sweet bacon strips. We both choose the 14 oz. crusted rib eye steak with cheddar bacon butter and served with French Fries. Cooked medium rare with a great crust, boneless and very flavorful. I also had an order of the spicy onion rings. More like onion straws but with a little heat. Desert was next. Chocolate lava cake with a chocolate hazelnut tart. Both fine. Make no mistake, the star of the show was the Steak! At a price of $40 it should be. Hands down the worst customer service in Fort Wayne. I spoke with a young man and lady today and each of them were nothing short of rude. Every time I call to place an order for pick up I am treated like I am wasting their time, like they have something better to do. I absolutely LOVE your food, but I go elsewhere more often than not to avoid the attitudes of your employees. I'll take food of lesser quality over ruining my mood for the day. Had work in Fort Wayne and positive yelp reviews drew me to Catablu Grille. I sat at the bar on a completely dead Wednesday night. The bartender was super friendly and helpful with the menu. Apparently they had a pianist available to play but once he saw it was a dead night he peeled off (sad but I totally get it). At suggestion of bartender I got the black and blue salmon which was perfectly cooked with great flavor. Ordered their cheese dip which was extremely filling. Seriously, I ate way too much. Entrees come with a salad and bread so I was bombarded with food (but all of it very good). I could see this place doing very well and being a very fun date place on the weekend. If you live in Fort Wayne or are just traveling through, you should def check this place out. read more
