We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. I heard they catch northerns too if that's your thing. I can't say enough about Heather who is running the place. She's an excellent communicator who really helped make my experience there wonderful.

After you purchase your tubes, you are driven in a bus to the starting point where you pick them up and get started. The tubes of everyone in your group are connected, so you stay together. Rent a couple of the cooler tubes, and you can bring beverages and snacks along. We also brought a Bluetooth speaker for music. If the water is too low in some spots and you may need to walk the tubes a little way, that can't be helped. If your tubes are drifting off course, they have people on jet skies that will come and nudge the group to where they need to go. It is a nice relaxing way to spend the day near the Dells.

It truly is all inclusive: no limits to number of drinks. They won't let you box up anything to go, but we could order appetizers and entrees. When we first arrived, the receptionist did not explain well where our room was located, so we ended up wandering around cluelessly with a large cart of stuff. I finally had to inquire at the front desk again. I like that you can access the Waterpark from anywhere in the resort. Being winter and snowing, it was good that we could walk indoors. I'm glad they have areas for toddlers and the "lazy/ active" river is a good choice. The rooms seem a bit outdated and definitely nothing fancy, but we still enjoyed our stay. I think I'd be happy to return. My kids enjoyed it just as much as GWL and I enjoyed being able to drink and eat "for free."

There were lots of people ordering food at the bar, which looked awesome, especially the pizza. We walked through the water park area just to see it, but we didn't swim. It wasn't super busy, but they definitely packed alot of attractions in a small area. We had arcade credits and spent a few hours on the arcade which was really fun! The property is huge and beautiful. I would return!

I don't think we'd stay here again.

We stayed in a single king room and were pleasantly surprised with how much space we had, it didn't feel cramped even with all the toddler gear. Both the hotel and the waterpark were consistently clean throughout our stay. For a high traffic family resort this was impressive and much appreciated. The wave pool and dedicated toddler area were a huge hit. Our little dude had a blast and it was great to have a safe, age appropriate space for him to explore. The lodge is due for some updates, specifically the waterpark equipment - the water jet skis in the toddler area were all broken and material was visibly chipping. While my toddler didn't notice the cosmetic wear, as a parent it is a little worrisome. I'd say visiting in the winter was the perfect way to beat the cold, though it did limit us to indoor sections. We're definitely curious to return when it's warmer to see how the outdoor area fairs. Overall a great choice for families with toddlers, but hopefully, management will invest in some much needed repairs to the play features soon!

The owners are simply outstanding and truly care about their guests and will assist you with your request. They also rent pontoon boats. This was our third consecutive summer vacation at Burhops and they always treat us like Family. Burhops is a great place to enjoy time as a family.

Besides for rentals, there are people who own in Burhops, which gives the whole place a neighborhood feel. You can dock your boat here, or rent a boat for the day. We usually stick with the swimming area and sand-box for the kids. Plus there's a cute little park across the street and a couple of little restaurants that are walking-distance away. Keep in mind, this is not a "resort." It's a small, off-the-beaten-path, cabin rental. But if that's what you're looking for, it's the absolute cutest off-the-beaten-path, cabin rental you could ask for!
