We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Black Hawk. Our room was very comfortable, and the indoor pool and sauna were such a nice bonus. It was a clean and fun place to stay at a great price.

This motel is kitschy, retro and unapologetically Native American in theme. Everyone who worked there was amazingly friendly. We walked in the check in door which dinged and someone helped us. Versus when we were at Kalahari they were waiting in three lines, 10 people deep. Our room was super clean, and how cool is it to have three queen size beds? We were in room 20 right across from the arcade games and the pool, I have no doubt that they put us there on purpose knowing we had two 12-year-olds and two 14-year-olds. They seem like thoughtful people like that. The one day the kids went over to the arcade and the games weren't on in so they went to the office to ask them to turn them on. Minutes later a guy drove up in a car with black hawk license plates and afterward they rambled on about this guy for hours. "He was just cool." Oh and the best part, they gave us a Kalahari indoor pass to go karting and climbing wall and more for all five of us for all three days we were there. This humored the kids for hours. And the rooms were $60 on a Thursday night and $75 on a Friday. A bargain! I highly recommend it!

My wife and I have been visiting Blackhawk for four consecutive years. I originally picked them because of their very positive reviews. They live up to it. Brad and staff are very helpful with anything that we needed. The place is very clean and they have also done some nice remodeling lately. They modernized some areas but continue to maintain the classic motel look that I grew up with when I visited the now former Shady Nook motel in the 80s and early 90s. The people who visit there are very nice and many are returning visitors. There is an outdoor heated pool, indoor pool, game room, and a small outdoor playground for kids. Having an ice machine and grill by the pool is a plus too! They also fixed their Wi-Fi issues. If you are looking for an A+ two star motel with reasonable rates and great service, than this place is for you and your family.

It is rented as either a two bedroom (either end of the cottage), three bedroom (an end and the center one bedroom), five bedroom (the entire cottage). It is a timeshare. It can be rented out. I noticed on the website right away that sundara had construction going on. So when I called to reserve I asked right away exactly How the construction would affect our stay. They assured me that where we were going to be staying they wouldn't be working and that all the work was being done on the way opposite side of the resort. So I went Ahead and gladly paid $577 for my over night stay and couples massage. The room was awsome and the massages were great! But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

I appreciated the text message follow-ups, which made communication simple. The beds were more comfortable than what we've experienced at other places in the area. The free breakfast was a highlight with plenty of options, and having coffee available all day was a big plus. The pool area was nice as well, and the slide was great for kids. The main downside was that the room could have been cleaner. We also had to ask for extra services like additional blankets and towels. Because of that, it wasn't quite a five-star stay, but overall it was a solid experience and we'd consider staying again.

Really nice splash area with a couple of toddler castle-themed slides. There is one larger slide, but it's not very steep so it's perfect for younger kids. There's a hot tub and one large pool that's nice for older kids. No lifeguards so make sure you have enough adults! The indoor water area has a small party room attached to it that we were able to use for food and presents. The couple things I'd say could use improvement is that the hotel rooms are pretty small and the indoor area isn't very well lit once the sun goes down. There was minimal overhead lighting which wasn't great for the younger kids. Overall it was a nice experience if you don't want to splurge or get overwhelmed by the bigger indoor waterparks in the Dells!

We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their guests truly set Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement apart.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement. A lot of "we're sorry" energy, not a lot of actual substance. She did say they were putting a credit on our account for the trouble. Cool. Great. Love that for us. Except... shockingly... there was no credit on the folio at checkout. Not hidden, not partial, not mislabeled. Just straight up not there. Which honestly feels perfectly on brand for the entire experience. Promise something, deliver vibes. Also, fun little bonus: apparently when you complain, they tag your account internally. So now I've got the digital equivalent of a frowny face next to my name for having the audacity to expect basic competence. Appreciate that. Love the one employee brave enough to mention it though. And for anyone who's seen their social media replies where they say "our leadership team will follow up" or "we'll make this right"... I've got zero evidence that any of that actually happens in a meaningful way. It reads like customer service theater. Lots of optics, very little follow-through. If anyone from corporate is reading this, maybe audit that pipeline, because from the outside it looks completely disconnected from reality. Now for the actual stay. Miserable doesn't even begin to cover it. Checked in at a kiosk, which should have been the easy part, until a staff member decided personal boundaries were optional and started tapping my screen like it was a demo unit at Best Buy. I explicitly said I didn't want a charge-enabled wristband, and they added it anyway. Nothing builds trust like unauthorized spending access tied to your room. Then came the wristband confusion: two different colors, zero explanation, and the distinct feeling I'd accidentally joined a very disorganized timeshare. Check-in took about 80 minutes. Not exaggerating. That included a completely unnecessary trek back to the main lobby from the Hillside building because apparently this place runs on side quests. At that point it felt less like a resort and more like a low-budget escape room where the prize is a working room key. Speaking of which, the room door didn't work. So that was a fun little encore. Just sitting there waiting for maintenance like it's the final act of a very boring play. Pro tip: block off 2 to 3 hours for check-in. Bring snacks. Maybe a novel. Even if they offered me three free nights, I'd pass. Some experiences are just too memorable, and not in the way they were going for. NEVER GOING BACK

I wasn't aware that it was an animal hotel, and as someone with allergies, I should've looked at the fine print. I'll definitely be taking Benadryl for several days to recover. The room itself was old, I definitely left my shoes on because the carpet was pretty nasty. But the room itself was clean. I had a floor level room, and the only window opened up right to the parking lot so privacy definitely was out of the question.! There were two beds in my room, when I sat down on one, I heard a very big spring noise, almost like a loud, "Boing!" Obviously I avoided that bad the rest of the day. My bed was comfortable the linens were clean. Very loud, but I kind of expected that because there's lots of children here. You definitely get what you pay for it was a budget friendly hotel.
