Pretty decent stay, the room was dated and felt a little dark but our family pretty much only slept in there so it wasn't a big deal! Nice location! This motel is perfect for people with kids. It is right across the street from Noah's Ark and walking distance to a lot of places. It has an outdoor pool and indoor pool. It is an incredible bargain since reservations include free tickets for the family to both Noah's Ark and Mt. Olympus. The motel is a bit old and the rooms smell a bit musty but otherwise very clean. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid July. It's a discount hotel, and while it isn't priced like one there are a few things to factor in. First, location is everything. With both Noah's Ark and Mount Olympus now charging for parking, it's really nice to be able to walk to both. If you are in the Dells for the water parks, you'll save $30 a day staying here. Second, your stay includes admission to Noah's Ark (every day, including first and last) and Mount Olympus (once). That's another $25-35 per person per day. Not fancy but clean. Friendly service. Two pools. Lots of families and kids. No complaints. read more

on the fourth of july 2024 my friend rented a room for 3 nights for 700$ he told them he had people coming up the next day and asked where they could park. they told him on the grass next to the pool. we ventured up over 60 miles to be told my a very rude owner I would assume that we can't park there and she didn't care who said we could and said she wasn't there to babysit us. so I told my wife let's fucking go and she yelled back at me to watch my mouth and continued to tell me I wasn't allowed on the property.. and you treat people like shit on a day where your supposed to be celebrating and supporting eachother. would recommend never going to this scummy joint! read more

I made a reservation on Feb 28th 2022 and was sent an email confirmation... right on the email is said word for word "All credit card deposits are charged THE DAY RESERVATION IS MADE" well on March 24th ALMOST A MONTH LATER they finally tried to take payment and I did not have the money in my account at that time... so my reservation was canceled. Being a hotel snob that I am , I truly wouldn't know how to rate a MOTEL with five stars. Anyhow, I came here with my Entire family in July. Quick history: My family has been coming to the dells every summer for the past twenty years now. The last time I came here with them,I was like 12 or 13...over ten years ago. My cousin twisted my arm into going this summer for some family fun time. I agreed. I was shocked to see that my family still comes to the same motel for the past twenty years. Kinda strange, I know. I was dreading coming to this motel. Now when i arrived at the shamrock, I was very pleased with the customer service. The staff new my entire family members names. Mind you, we arrived 30-40 people deep. The staff was very warm. The owners who run the entire place are very hard working and were kind to us. When I walked in my room, I wasn't surprised , very typical motel furniture and beddings. But the rooms were super clean. The bathrooms looked remodeled and my cousin confirmed this knowing the past look. It was standard but very clean. For a motel, this place is really decent. The only thing I would recommend to the owners is to improve the look of the room by changing the bedding and sheets. They are very old. The sheets and comforter need to be more modern. If this change occurred it would make a HUGE difference. Visitors would get a better vibe, I think. The outdoor pool is decent. Indoor pool and jaquazzi too. Very Decent for a motel. For a motel, I give it 4 stars. You cant expect much from a motel though. Stay at a hotel if you have bigger expectations. read more

This is a great hotel, very clean and nice helpful staff. Great view, great indoor and outdoor on-site pools, walking distance to Noah's Ark and offered passes included. We will stay here everytime we come to the Dells so glad we found this one because Mt. Olympus bought all the other hotels we used to stay at and closed down thier on-site pools! Our stay here was 5 days and 4 nights....we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff(owners) were friendly and informative. With our stay we got passes to Noah's Ark for every day we stayed and 25% off area attractions. Between the Tommy Bartlett Show, duck rides, and wizards quest, we saved $68.00. The outdoor pool was clean and had a diving board and small slide. Inside was a shamrock shaped pool with small slide and a jacuzzi. My children are 6 and 9 years old...these two pools were plenty fun for them. They also have a common area by the pool with picnic tables and charcoal grills. The rooms were bigger than expected and noticeably clean...house keeping did a very nice job. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were a little out dated, tube TV and AC unit was a little loud. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will be back. For the price I don't think it gets better. Being able to walk across the street to Noah's Ark was a huge plus. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the wifi was spotty...it worked less than half the time and had a weak signal when it did work. read more

HUGE SCAM! I purchased two rooms. The lady who answered the phone had poor communication skills. She charged me half up front and told me that I needed to cancel 72 hours otherwise I would lose the deposit. Not once did she mention that they charge a $20 cancel fee and she repeated herself about the required 72 hours every time she returned to the phone after placing me on hold for 5 or so minutes, which she did multiple times. I had to cancel due to a family emergency and I was charged $40 for handling fees... I gave5 days notice. When I asked what fees I occurred for canceling that cost $40? Her response, the phone call? Come again?! I said I would have canceled over the internet, but your policy does not allow it. She was argumentative and rude. When I told her that I was going to let other possible customers know about this absurd $40 cancel fee, she screamed at me saying I better not and if I do she will cover it and call me a liar. Truly she went crazy on me. My coworkers were able to hear her screaming at me from the phone. I was then told that I will get my refund depending on my bank. I said what? Yes, my bank will determine when I will get my refund is what she told me. I told her that didn't make any sense. I contacted my bank to ask how long it takes for them to post on my account once it has been processed by an establishment. The representative at the bank told me that it depends whenever the refunding establishment processes the refund. I called back to Shamrock to inform her that I expect a refund within 48 hours. She told me she will process it when she get around to it. What? I asked to speak with her manager and she told me that she wasn't in. I asked when she will return and I was told not until after 3 p.m. When I asked her what her name was, she refused to tell me and put me on hold and never returned. Stay away from this motel. They steal money from you without you even staying there. It is a shame because my family and I would always stay at this motel when we were younger every summer. Now, this was the place we stayed for our third ride up here...let's just say that when I heard the story "free wristbands for staying here" and seeing the outside, I was instantly thinking badly "it's going to be a disaster inside and the worst thing ever BWUHHHH!" Anyway! My concerns INSTANTLY reversed themselves once we opened the motel door. The room was amazing considering the rather drab outside. Great television, bed, set-away bathroom. Second room, great nightstands and same bathroom. I'll just say that again: DUAL ROOM ROOMS! Never would've seen that coming. Fricking dream come true right there! (My dad snores) After returning from our WI Dells first day, some decided to go down to the pool and I said fine. The outside pool was fun! Diving board and basketball...nine foot deep end, great amenity and the inside pool had a great whirlpool that we enjoyed for a cumulative couple of hours. However, it's not 100% perfect: the carpeting on the outside is torn up all over the place: that second room was an A/C external unit which gives it an ugly appearance, but given the remote control and great working condition, that's a pretty tiny thing to worry about and the TV in that second room is one of those tiny kids' first televisions. But this place is the perfect example of why first impressions are BS. read more

This is is the third straight summer I have taken my family to Wisconsin Dells and the third hotel in as many years. I have to say that our stay at the Shamrock was very pleasant. The owners were very friendly, especially Bernadette, I could tell she really tries to have her guests have an enjoyable stay. The outside pool was clean and just the right size. The indoor pools were fine as well. The kiddie pool and the whirlpool were just what one needs. We did it get to use the playground as much, but it is a nice feature for kids; my six year old son enjoyed the few times we did get to them. The rooms have what you need, a bed, a clean bathroom, microwave and fridge. Even though the A/C was a window/wall unit, it kept the room cold just like I like. We had a second floor unit and it was quiet at night even though the place was full. The complimentary passes to Noah's Ark and Chula Vista as well as the 2 for 1 to Mt. Olympus are a nice touch. The housekeeping teams were awesome, Angelika and her cleaning partner did a wonderful job everyday of our stay. We left the Shamrock with the intention of coming back as soon as possible. I reserved a room at the Shamrock Motel. When i arrived with my family i was pleasantly happy. I checked in and went to room 161. The decor was out dated but clean. I unloaded are belongings and left for Chula Vista Water Park. When my family and i arrived back to are room. We noticed a bug crawling on the floor. My sister and i stripped the beds down to check for bed bugs. The mattresses were stained ! My sister found a bug on the mattress underneath the bed cover. My family and i packed are belongings up and loaded them in the car. I put the bug in a cup and took it to the front desk. I showed the owner the bug and told her the bug was found in the bed. She said it wasn't a bed bug it was a tick. The owner said she had taken classes on this and proceeded to Google pictures of the bug. The lady became defensive and called me a liar in front of another guest. I told her i don't care if it is a bed bug or a tick . There shouldn't be ticks in the room point blank. The owner offered me another room. I refused to stay there and left. I was disgusted and my vacation was ruined. Will never go back and do not recommend this hotel. read more

A friend of mine invited my husband and I to the Dells for the holiday weekend. She said she was staying at the Shamrock and they were giving free wristbands to Chula Vista Water Resort all weekend if you booked with them. I decided to Google the Motel, and view the pictures. It appeared decent, so I booked with Shamrock. We took a three and a half hour drive and finally made it. As we pulled up I thought "OH NO" the pictures looked nothing like what I had viewed on their website and Google. It was a cheap run-down Motel. AGAIN, IT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE! I figured I would give it a fair shot, as looks at first glance sometimes are deceiving. I decided to be a team player and check in our reservation. The girl at the desk gave us the wristbands for the Chula Vista Water Resort stating they were good all weekend and a set of keys to our room. Our room was ground level, and as I opened the door and walked in I literally wanted to walk right back out. IT WAS FILTHY!! The carpets were so disgusting I immediately put my luggage on a table. The beds were even worse. The box spring of the bed was showing and had yellow stains and the covers and pillows looked soiled to the point were the pillowcases were white at some point but just a dingy grayish color. The bed looked so filthy I was a mixture of fear and disgust to sit on the bed. There was no way in hell I could honestly lay in that bed for two days in fear of bed bugs biting me. My husband was in the Marine Corps. For 8 yrs.' and adapts quickly to any setting and has slept in a dirt holes for days at a time but after his initial reaction to shock, or disgust, I couldn't tell, he stated he was looking for a chalk outline of a dead body, or a syringe, I knew our time was up at this place. He quickly went to the bathroom and noticed our window was perched open and looked out the window. He immediately slammed it shut and called me in to tell me there was 3 men outside our window working construction. Since we were ground level I was in disbelief that being a major holiday weekend, and the weekend, that this place would even allow construction workers working directly behind this place where other guest were staying, making it even more incredibly awkward for guest. As I opened our window there were 3 men literally at arms length working. The establishment couldn't wait till after the holiday when they weren't crowded?! I mean come on! I started to think maybe I was overreacting, but could not stay in that room any longer so we decided to check out the water park that was inclusive with the stay. Since this Motel is on the strip and the water park was included with the stay, I figured it was within walking distance, WRONG AGAIN! The water resort was almost 5 miles away! What a joke! This Motel is on the main strip where water parks are a dime a dozen, why on God's green earth would they include a water park 5 miles away is still baffling. We figured we came all this way why not check it out. On our return back to the Shamrock, I dreaded going back in that room but we were starving. We quickly changed and went to dinner. On our arrival back to the Shamrock we went in our room again and I got an unsettling feeling. I pulled back the covers to the bed and there was hair on the sheets and the top cover was full of stains that I'm sure a wash would have got out. I flipped the pillow over and there were black stains on the pillow, once again I'm sure a wash would have gotten out. I HAD ENOUGH at that point I WAS LIVID and had seen enough. I marched right to the front desk and asked to speak with management. The girl that checked us in stated she was in charge and I told her I just could not stay at this establishment and started telling her how uncomfortable I was, and how filthy the room was. She called housekeeping (which I think was her mother) to go check out the room. I met Anna in our room and flipped over the cover and showed her the stains on the blanket and the hairs in the bed. She said there was nothing wrong with the room and would have house keeping come change the sheets. Was this woman crazy?!?! Obviously it was unsanitary or else she wouldn't need to call housekeeping. I also showed her the pillowcase with the black marks on them and she goes "Oh that's mascara". I looked at her and said I don't wear make-up, GROSS!!! I ran back to the office and said I want out. We were there a total of 3.5 hrs and I had seen enough. The girl stated she will give me a refund for one day but keeping my money for a full night stay! The girl and the woman who I believe to be her mother both yelled at me! THIS PLACE IS NOT ONLY DISGUSTING BUT THESE PEOPLE ARE CON ARTIST AND THIEVES! DO NOT STAY HERE! THE ROOMS ARE NOT SANITARY AND THE PLACE IS DISGUSTING! read more
