Lifeguards are there for pay I had to go help my son drowning bc the lifeguard wouldn't stop the wave and told him to swim and get off the wall I had to go in there and she yelled at me to get off wall while attempting to save my son Ridiculous why are you a lifeguard?!? Not saving lives I tell you that Idk her name but spoke to headlifegaurd to get her off bc that type of neglect as a lifeguard you shouldn't be in this business then 04/07/2026

I love this place! On a wednesday after labor day, there was barely anyone here. Short lines if any for the waterslides. I love the wave pool here!! Don't have to wait long for the waves to start either. Fun if you go the front and bob. Still fun if you stay back and let the waves class into you. Plenty of food options here too. Clean rooms and kind staff!

We went here for Christmas as an alternative of presents. So they give you fabric bands, which are your key cards to your room and to buy stuff. There was four water parks to check out so we went to a different one each day. The kids loved the Timberland adventure climbing course there was five stories and they had connectors to go across to the other side. There are giant slides, and obstacles to climb all over. There was also a three story go kart track and the first hour of each morning. It was kids only they got to drive on the track. They also had a three story laser tag area that was open 24 hours along with a three-story ropes course that was open a pretty long time the ropes course was over the arcade. And they had three climbing walls to pick from. so we have to upgrade our bands for $40 to have unlimited ropes course, laser tag, go kart rides and no matter how many days you stayed the unlimited bands were for all the days. It's definitely spread out so you don't run into a bunch of people and you pick where you wanna go each day. There were several restaurants of food to pick from. The rooms had a microwave, mini fridge and bar sink and also had a nice table along the wall with barstools and two of the walls and then the kids had a separate TV in their area with some tables in front of their pullout that had different tables inside that you could pull out for extra table space. For all the rides on the tubes you got weighed to make sure you were heavy enough to keep the tubes down so there was no accidents. The workers don't speak very good English so communication was difficult. The parking lot was huge so you do have to walk a bit to get to your rooms. We also got a ticket to do a Polar express ride in like IMAX room. The price comparable to other water parks. This was very reasonable for everything that they offered and this is the only place my kids ever talk about going. They don't really care to go to any other water parks we've ever been to except for this one.

Best stop this summer. So many things to do at resort. Kids loved the waterparks. We didn't even make it to all of them. Rooms were comfortable for family of 6 and clean. Friendly staff. Food was ok. What you would expect. Loved the poolside drinks. Can't wait to go back!

    Birthday Door

Just the cost, is a big negative. (Which was expected though so had no input in my rating until the end) Depending when you go, my daughters birthday is the most expensive of the summer so that sucks. The kids club was boring the one time we tried it. They have a huge jungle gym on the wild west side that my daughters would play in for hours and loved. It's definitely the best place we found there. We have went 4 times, the last was our worst experience. There was a tornado watch so we spend most of the day in the room. During this time teenagers tore down her birthday door decorations and were banging on our door throughout the day and then several times late into the night. Till I ran out in my night gown after them, went to the front desk irritate. My daughter was too afraid to go to sleep that night and ended up sleeping in the next day (her birthday) because of their behavior. Which was sad, the person in charged claimed they were going to do something (like a comp,or free fun passes) and have a manager reach out once in. They did nothing :( So I spent approximately 2 grand, as I used other cards most of the time when paying. For my daughter to be traumatized on her 9th birthday.

    baby's feet from the floor!

We stayed in a golf cabin. We were disappointed in our accommodations. There was no table. They sent us a high chair without a tray. How does a baby eat without a tray??. Then there was the carpet, which was sticky and gross! My 9-month-old grandson was crawling on the floor and turned black! All of our feet were black. The floor was sticky! I have been to this place many times this is the 1st time I experienced this kind of room.

We did a 2 night family stay at the Wilderness, and overall had a very nice time! The resort is huge and there is lots to do. I think this is especially nice for the colder months. We enjoyed access to several water parks and arcades and indoor mini golf. Here are some not so great things: 1. Others have pointed out that it's difficult to find places within the resort. The attraction names are here to remember/keep track of and the arrows throughout the resort do not offer much help 2. We were here in April, so I get it's not peak season but we didn't like that only 1 water park was open per day and most of the on-site eatery's were closed for our whole stay. 3. There is a shuttle that can take you to some of the associated restaurants. You use the room phone to request it and then 2 minutes later the shuttle is supposed to arrive at the door. We did this and waited for at least 15 min, several shuttles drive right past us but either drive around the parking lot or went to other doors. It was confusing and frustrating and we ended up driving ourselves. 4. While the room is nice overall, the air conditioning unit is super loud and kicks in all the time which kept waking me up. 5. Finally, the pillows were the absolute worst! It felt like the pillows were filled with chopped up foam. Glad we live in driving distance so I can pack my own pillows next time! All-in-all we had a nice time, I think if we come back next time we will try staying the cottages where you have a full kitchen, so there wasn't much good food around/ in the resort.

It was my first time back at the Wilderness Resort in about 4 years - and it was a pretty fun time! They recently remodeled their rooms and hallways - the carpets and walls are different, as are their beds. It looks a lot more corporate now, and lost some of its "wild" theming but it still looks pretty nice to be honest. The water park layout is the same - there are 4 indoor Waterparks (and multiple outdoor ones open after Memorial Day) - one of the indoor water parks (the Wilderness on the Lake Waterpark) you must take the blue bus shuttle over to - they run every 10-20 minutes and are free for resort guests. They added another swim up bar in their Wild West Waterpark (also remodeled) which is great - it looks really nice! The black hole water ride in the Wild West water park is my favorite ride there it's very fun. Overall, I'd give Wilderness 4 stars, it's really nice and a lot of fun. Also as a P.S - after you check in, the employee will give you a coupon book and then send you to the "Wyndham Experiences" desk at the front in the corner of the New Frontier lobby - they are basically trying to sell you timeshares vacations, avoid them and do not take their tours. They told me a $2,000 vacation would be $50 if I took one of their tours and booked with them....unrealistic, no thanks! It's

This was $600 and no room service room was dirty we thought we were getting a sweat and it was just a double bed with a little dirty bathroom dust bunnies everywhere. I will send you. I will suggest renting a cabin or a condo because the suites are just trashed for 300 a night you don't get on breakfast. You don't get any accommodations so yeah this was this is unexpected and it was a horrible experience. The water parks are cool though Kids having a blast in the water parks but we're leaving now to go get food and everything we drove out here he said they said that they stopped doing room service after Covid so I guess service went down privacy issues. We don't know, but yeah so if you wanted to be, yeah I don't don't don't wreck the sweets cause it's a horrible experience I'm telling.

When we first arrived, our room wasn't ready just yet. Staff is SO friendly. Housekeeping is amazing! When you first wake up, do dry stuff first in the Resort then enjoy the waterparks, it makes for a more enjoyable experience and optimizes day time. The indoor waterparks are very humid. Wristbands are neat they can be used at the consession stands and all places in the park to make purchases, great for teens to slip off and grab a milkshake without losing your card. Don't waste your time bringing a towels you get towel cards and using the resorts means less you have to carry. Bring a wagon to carry all of your things for you. You will do a ton of walking. Utilize the shuttle bus, it will take you to all the different waterparks & the restaurants on site. Bring a robe for in-between parks. Hallways are very hot. No air conditioning in hallways. Pack breakfast and lunch eating at the resort is ridiculously expensive. We took a small cooler with drinks & snacks to all the waterparks. Sunscreen, don't forget sunscreen & apply it often! Water shoes are a must have, the wave pool will shred your feet. Take a shower at the end of each day, the salt water will dry your skin out. Stay for at least 3 nights anything less is not enough time to do everything. We stayed for 6. Get the unlimited bands if you're staying at least 3 nights or more, other wise it's a waste of money & you won't have time anyways. The pottery place is extremely expensive. It takes 2 days to get your pottery back, prepare for that. Drive off the resort for food, it does not take much time and it saves lots of money. When you buy a locker it is interchangeable and you can use a locker at each water park you go to. Be a tourist, use coupons in the resort get out & visit places. Wisconsin beautiful.

Is this resort expensive for two people? What are the room prices?

Depends what time of year you're going and what type of room you want. When I was here in February it cost about $200 a night for a double suite.

So I went Ahead and gladly paid $577 for my over night stay and couples massage. The room was awsome and the massages were great! But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

Staying here gives you access to the other Natura properties, but we didn't want to get in the car and pay for parking at each location. There is a restaurant/bar on site, which we also didn't go to, you can get room service delivered until 10 pm, when the restaurant closes. The hotel is pretty average, bordering on motel, in terms of condition. There are some updates needed in the guest rooms, like better lighting, removing the asbestos popcorn ceiling, enlarging the bathroom so there is room to put a sink in the actual bathroom, and including a TV service that actually shows you what is on the channels (or with the ability to cast streaming services from your devices). The shower pressure needs to be greatly improved; the shower head should be adjustable, and the height seems to be built for someone who is 8' tall. The room's mini fridge icebox had layers of ice that had formed, and the microwave was kind of gross. I would personally like to see both replaced with newer models. We stayed in a room that had a balcony overlooking the river, which would have been nice if the balcony had been welcoming at all with comfortable chairs and not blowing hot air at you from the window AC unit. The pool/whirlpool/sauna room is odd. They must have photoshopped the images on the website, because it's not bright at all. It's very dark inside like a dimly lit lodge, which gave it a creepy vibe. I couldn't tell if the pool was heated, because overall it was pretty hot during our stay. The whirlpool was pretty nicely sized and seemed to be maintained well. There is only 1 elevator to accommodate 5 floors, so that wait can be long depending on the time of day. The wristlet with room key must be worn at all times while on the property and is uncomfortable and must be cut off for removal. If you lose it, they charge you $25 to replace it. The staff also repeatedly referred to anyone not wearing a wristlet as "trespassers," which was just creepy. Overall, there seemed to be so many rules on what to do/what not to do; it was overwhelming. But it was fine for a 2-night stay with a young kid who really was just happy to have a pool.

It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their guests truly set Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement apart.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement. It is a hidden gem in Wisconsin Dells that offers unparalleled beauty, comfort, and hospitality. We can't wait to return!   Highly recommend that you rent a boat for some amazing photos and head next door to rent tubes to float down the river! My whole family loved using the tickets to Noah's Ark and the Big Cat Sanctuary.

For two of the three nights, the noise was excessive. During our last night, which much needed sleep, I contacted the front desk twice. The first time, I was told security would address the loud group on the patio. On my second call, I was advised to approach the guests myself to ask them to lower their volume, which I found quite shocking. When I requested the staff's name, she began to spell it out instead of simply stating it, and ultimately hung up on me. Given that we paid over $500/per night was too much for not getting much sleep. As well as the lack of support and rude service were very disappointing. I hope future guests take note of this issue and similar other reviews about the excessive noise level likely due to lack of soundproofing.

5 stars for Wilderness on the Lake…read more I didn't experience a stay at the hotel itself as I stayed at the regular Wilderness resort, but I did get to explore the resort and experience their water park/gift shop and escape rooms. This resort is much more quiet than the regular Wilderness Resort, it's not as busy and there is only 1 water park here. You get a nice view of Lake Delton from the Jacuzzi at the water park and in the summer time there is a really nice indoor/outdoor connecting pool open overlooking the lake. There are also basketball hoops in the pools you can play in and a nice kids area and a quick service food/bar/coffee shop. Overall I think this is a nice resort - take the blue bus to get to the other water parks on Wilderness property.
