    Menudo has no hominy.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I am very disappointed this morning with our food from Castillo, it was our first time trying this restaurant too. It was a to-go order so our disappointment initially was when we got home and found NO hominy in the menudo, would have been good to know that's how they make it, then the broth was bland too, not much flavor. We ordered the salsa verde plate too and I think it was just ok, not impressed. The other thing to top it off was that it was overpriced, we wouldn't mind having paid $41 (2 sodas included) for this if the food was actually good. I give it two stars because the service is friendly and the restaurant looks clean.

Came here for breakfast. I went with the huevos rancheros. Let me say this they weren't what I expected. Im use to the hard fried tortilla but, the food was great. The rice and beans taste good. The sauce for the eggs taste good also. Came on a Sunday morning it was not busy which I liked. Their cashier and cook were friendly pretty welcoming.

Was in the area and craving machaca. So glad I found this place on Yelp. It was early in the day so not crowded. It's a small place, nothing fancy, and pretty hidden. Friendly service, accommodating, and quick. Ordered a machaca plate, an asada burrito, and horchata. Free chips and salsa when dining in. The spicy salsa was so dang good and made my scalp sweat! Everything was so delicious, including the rice and beans. The ratio of meat to rice in the burrito was on point. Will definitely be back!

I've also never experienced any other place that has their tortilla chips like this place!! I love how's it's complimentary with every food order. When I'm craving Mexican food, this is my go to spot. Unfortunately I'm a no sabo kid, so English is my default, which isn't a problem for this business when ordering. Although, I do wish they had a website for online orders. They're kind, helpful, and know they're serving special food locally. It came with a side plate of spices (oregano, chile de arbol), sliced lemons, chopped onions, and cilantro. The chicken taquitos dorados (a la carte) were flavorful, tasty, and moist. There were also a bit larger than other locations. They were served on a bed of lettuce, half guacamole and half sour cream, and some cheese. Ordered Chilaquiles (verdes - choice of green or red). One meal can easily be split between multiple people. My favorites are the green enchiladas and the spicy chipotle burrito, and the rice and beans are just as flavorful and delicious as the main entrees. Upon being seated, you are served a spicy and cheesy bean dip with fresh chips, and there is a salsa bar inside where you can fill up on your choice of salsas. I sat in the outside patio area in my most recent visit, and while the quality of the food didn't change, the service was not the greatest; my table and a couple of other tables had a difficult time flagging anyone down for refills, to go containers, or the bill. There's also a pretty big price difference between paying with card and paying with cash; multiple menu items were at least 3-4 dollars more if you plan to pay with card. Still, the food is good and if you're craving some hearty and comforting Mexican food, S&B is a good option.
