For lunch, we went with the blackened Baja fish tacos based on our waitress's recommendation. Great call. The blackened fish added another layer of flavor, and the coleslaw was excellent--on the tacos or straight off the fork. The vibe was laid back, friendly, and easy. Local artwork on the walls gave the place a nice community feel, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the restrooms were clean--which always earns bonus points. Overall, Castaways is a great stop for a light lunch, good food, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I had the salmon blt and it could use a little bit more seasoning but it it was cooked just right! The home made chips were absolutely to die for because it was so delicious! Not salty at all and perfect crisp at every bite! We also got fried tomato and it was topped with I believe, goat cheese and it was so crispy and delicious, I do with it has a bit more seasoning on it but we paired it with the crab dip and it was perfect to the taste!

Went back later with my son--he got the jalapeño burger loaded with Jack cheese and plenty of peppers--he loved it! Ok, here's the dinner update: not bad, not great, but good for the money. No roll or muffin or biscuit and the Texas Toast I ordered was grilled without butter.
