The waffle selection was easy to follow, and they tasted great! The latte was kinda bland, but the atmosphere was nice and clean. I would go again.

The Lemon Blueberry was my favorite waffle!

I great little meeting spot that felt cozy, I liked the waffle and all the varieties to choose from but, the star of everything for me was the buttery maple syrup!! The staff were all delightful, I would definitely go back!!

As someone who just got back from a trip to Belgium I can say these are legit. It's like I'm back in the streets of Brussels. The staff is super friendly and the coffee was great. Would recommend.

Best waffles I've had in a long time! It's a small place, but if you're in the area, it's worth trying at least once. I had the Cinnamon Roll Waffle (Belgian waffle topped with vanilla buttercream and brown sugar/cinnamon mix, $5.75), which is one of their specialty waffles. It was incredibly fluffy, moist, sweet, and full of deliciousness. It did feel like being served from a food truck when it arrived in a small paper container rather than a plate (and the prices resemble that of a food truck too). Don't expect the whole restaurant experience - you order at the front, seat yourself, your food is brought to your table, and then you clean after yourself. But don't judge it solely by its simplicity; the waffles are pretty good!

If you're looking for a place to indulge your sweet tooth, Cast Iron Waffles is a must-visit spot! I visited last August with my family and had a lovely experience. We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the sun with our waffles. We ordered two of their deluxes, one with berries and cream, and a sticky bun deluxe. The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. + a nice variety of toppings Friendly service from the staff, they made sure we had everything we needed and genuinely wanted to make our visit a good one. In short, if you're looking for a place to indulge in some great Belgian waffles, look no further than here.

Hidden gem tucked into Marvin rd, Cast Iron waffles provides decadent gourmet waffles from friendly staff in a quiet neighborhood, with ample seating inside and out. These waffles are delicious and on the sweet side in most variations, so I paired a lumberjack which has a savory salty flavor thanks to the bacon with a coffee without any cream to balance it out. I tried the deluxe waffle as well and for me, it was a bit too sweet but I had no complaints from the family. The smoothies are also great, though a bit sugary. There are plenty of items, but given the nature your basically eating doughnuts for breakfast. I had one waffle and finished the second half of another that my child didn't want, and I'll say that was too much sugar for me. In the future I'll split a waffle and only have half. I walked around the peaceful neighborhood to burn off some extra energy. While anyone could easily eat an entire waffle alone, I'd be hard pressed to recommend it. Splitting one with a friend is definitely the way to go. There's plenty of seating inside and out, lined along the window so you get a sunny view, outside there are two nooks with tables that will keep you out of the wind and in full view of the sun, so even on a cold day you can enjoy the outdoors comfortably. The area is quiet and though the road is nearby the traffic is not noticeable. Overall it's a great area. Being in a neighborhood the parking in front is slim, but there is a parking lot across the road. Part of it is open parking and park has signs for towing, I didn't risk it (even on a Sunday) and figure it's best not to tempt, so pay attention to the signage. I loved visiting this small local business and will definitely be returning here regularly as a family treat.

Best waffles I have ever eaten. Hands down! No competition! My favorite is the peanut butter cup waffle. How can you go wrong with peanut butter and Nutella? The Deluxe is very good as well. Again, you have Nutella with strawberries and bananas. I can easily eat 2 waffles, so don't be afraid to order that extra one. They have very solid coffee too. I usually go with the iced macchiato.

This place is a must! The food and drinks were amazing!! The most delicious waffle I've had and the coffee was excellent! The employees were friendly and polite and the food was ready quickly and with the PERFECT amount of whipped cream. Inviting and chill atmosphere. Can't wait to be back to try more! 10/10

So first and foremost, let's talk about the process of this eatery, you are expected to come in and wait in line grab a menu and then order at the counter. Once you order your food you will get a number to go with your meal then you will choose your seating area for larger parties, the staff will assist and support you with seating. Patrons are not following this process and they are saving tables as they enter which is extending the wait time in line. I ordered the chicken and red velvet waffle, and it was delicious! The chicken was fried perfectly and the cream cheese drizzle paired perfect with the velvet waffle! I didn't even use syrup. I ordered a cup of Parmesan grits on the side. I recommend that you try them. All paired with a pineapple mimosa. I am looking forward to returning. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

The Wafflery is a fast-casual breakfast spot with a surprisingly extensive menu--think waffles, biscuits, and plenty of other brunch favorites. It took me a minute to decide because everything sounded so good! Everything we ordered was flavorful and hit the spot. You can tell they don't cut corners when it comes to taste. They have two locations, and we visited the Rozzelles Ferry location, which was a great choice because there was more parking available. Just a heads up--both locations get pretty busy on weekends, but the line moves quickly, so the wait isn't too bad. If you're visiting Charlotte or just looking for a solid brunch option, this is definitely worth checking out

I went to Josh's Farmers market on a day I knew this truck would be there. IG pics looked great and I knew it was something my niece would enjoy. We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and I just about stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the 30 or so people in line. However, we drove from Huntersville, and although it wasn't super far it was enough of a hassle that I didn't want to turn around and leave. So we waited. For. An. Hour. Plus. 15. Minutes. I was pretty annoyed because I had gone there somewhat hungry - silly me, not knowing how small the novelty waffles are. By the time we'd waited over an hour I also had an unhappy child who was hungry too. Finally just after 2:15 it was our turn to order. My niece wanted the original, she didn't want all the extra stuff. I wanted the Nutella/strawberry waffle and I kid you not.. they gave the last one to the woman who ordered before me. Unbelievable. I was too through.. and also by the time we got our order at about 2:30, we were starving and that little waffle did not do the job. They were tasty.. just know this is a treat, a dessert, not filling at all. I didn't expect it to be filling, I just expected them to be bigger. I do feel they are reasonably priced based on the size... but we stopped for pizza on the way home. There was one person taking orders and the other was making the orders. The woman making the orders could have used a hand. I can't understand why it took her so long to put 2-4 toppings on a waffle, but the order prep took forever. Keep this in mind if you visit .. be prepared to wait and eat a meal in advance. I'd try it again because the waffle was good, but I wouldn't wait an hour, it wasn't worth a wait that long IMO.

On every visit to Charlotte, I stop here 2-3 times, whether it's to meet up with friends and colleagues for lunch, to grab a quite bite before evening plans, to spend happy hours and dinners on that delightful back patio or to pick up that insane vegan dessert I've been craving. I mean, can it get any better than a spread of vegan elote corn, nachos smothered with beans, seitan, guac/queso/crema or my new favorite, the crunch wrap with a glass of something icy cold (I usually get a glass of something sparkling at the back bar). Since my last review almost 5 years ago, they sadly removed the matcha cruffin (that I still can't get out of my head!) and added in an entire display of sugary/spicy/chocolatey greatness (I'm still kicking myself for being too late on my way to the airport to get that lemon bar I'd been eying or the pumpkin BUNDT CAKE, ffs. Person taking our order was rude. Asked what he would recommend as a side given that we'd never been to the restaurant before. He just listed off all the sides and appeared annoyed by the question. We finished our order and he then cancels the tip screen and I didn't know why. He asks if I want a receipt and I say sure. Then I notice that they have an automatic "service charge" of 15% that isn't advertised anywhere in the restaurant. I'm not necessarily against restaurants doing this but it should be advertised. Also, you should have service if you're going to charge a "service charge." Our service consisted of a counter order and then someone who eventually brought out our food. Water was never even refilled. Vibe of everyone that worked there was angry and aggravated. Multiple people scowled at me walking through the dining room from the kitchen. One worker threw open the kitchen door obviously pissed about something. Everyone in the restaurant was waiting forever for their food and other tables would have one entree come out while the other person at the table waited another 15 minutes for their food. Food was nothing special. My wife liked her Mother Earth bowl which is why I'm giving two stars. My chicken sandwich was something out of a frozen box. Hush puppies and onion rings were standard. We only had water to drink. All of this cost us $54.20 total. Anymore this feels like a standard experience in an American restaurant unless you do someplace high end. Ok food, terrible value, terrible service, and junk fees. Like they're doing you a favor just being there. All of this for a restaurant that, as the walls show, is trying to convince you to become vegan. This won't do it guys. Do better if you really care about bringing people to your cause.

Review for Waffle House After relocating to Charlotte--and…read morethe Southeast more broadly--from the San Francisco Bay Area, I've made it a point as a local foodie and someone mindful of supporting community businesses to explore regional institutions I may not have experienced before. One of those places was Waffle House, a name I had heard about but never visited until now. A colleague from Atlanta had talked about it often--especially the hash browns--and described the experience as something of a rite of passage in the South. Naturally, my curiosity got the best of me. I finally visited one location, and I have to say, I was genuinely impressed. I ordered steak and eggs with crispy hash browns and pancakes, and everything arrived exactly as requested. The steak was cooked medium rare, the eggs were perfectly done over medium, and the hash browns were beautifully crisp. The food was simple, satisfying, and well executed--classic comfort food done right. What really stood out, though, was the experience at the counter. Sitting there and watching the cook prepare meals in such a compact space for a restaurant that seats dozens of people felt like live theater. The kitchen is completely visible, and the level of coordination, timing, and organization was impressive. It honestly felt like watching a well-rehearsed symphony. The staff worked efficiently, kept everything clean and orderly, and handled the flow of orders with professionalism. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that the food is prepared fresh--real eggs, cooked to order--and not from frozen or powdered shortcuts. That attention to basics goes a long way. Other highlights: * Friendly, attentive staff * Easy parking and convenient access * Great value for the quality and portion size * A uniquely open kitchen experience you rarely get to see I left a generous tip because the service and execution deserved it, and I walked away with a completely new appreciation for this iconic Southern institution. My earlier assumptions about Waffle House were definitely corrected. I imagine weekends can get busy, so I personally prefer visiting during quieter, off-peak hours when you can enjoy the meal and observe the rhythm of the kitchen without the rush. Bottom line: If you're new to the South or simply curious, visiting a Waffle House really is a rite of passage. Be open-minded, sit at the counter, watch the magic happen, and enjoy a solid, satisfying meal. You just might be pleasantly surprised--like I was.
